Titanium Backup installed but can't be found? - Solved - Samsung Infuse 4G

I just got my Infuse and downloaded Superoneclick and Titanium Backup but I think I messed up.
I purchased the Titanium Backup Pro and installed that before I rooted my Infuse. I cannot find the Titanium Backup app anywhere. I did successfully install the Superoneclip and ROM manger.
Have anyone here ever installed the Titanium Backup but cannot locate it? Any help would be appreciated.

I fixed the issue. I installed the key but not the program. I went back and installed the Free version and it automatically activated the Free version and turns it to Pro version. All is well!
I guess the sequence should have been install the Free version prior to pay for the Pro version.

[Q] making backups

Sorry if this question has been posed already, I tried searching the forums.
I finally rooted my Thunderbolt with Bamf remix 1.5 and have everything setup. When version 1.6 comes out and I want to upgrade, what should I use to backup all of my apps and data so I can restore everything after upgrading the ROM.
Thanks in advance!
Use Titanium Backup for apps and data. If you need help, let me know. Titanium Backup's UI isn't the most user friendly.
You should always make a backup of your current ROM before flashing anything new. Incase something goes wrong you can revert to your backup. Just use ROM Manager for that.
Thank so much. I made a backup and saved it as update.zip. The problem is when I browse my sdcard with root explorer there is nothing in the "Titanium Backup" folder.
OK nevermind. I think I've got it.

Okay, cool. I would recommend getting the Pro version so you can do batch backups. Although, that feature might be on the free verson. I dunno.
I think you can do batch backups on the free version but only for Apps. I think I tried that last night.
On the free version you have to manually hit install for each individual app and the paid version does of for you in batch mode. It is well worth it to purchase the paid version of titanium, along with root explorer and rom manager if you are new to the root game. Good luck.

Titanium Restore on 3.1

3g Xoom with freshly installed BRD 3.1 packages.
3.1 update went well, reinstalled Titanium to restore everything.
Restore seems to go fine, yet virtually every app that gets restored, once run will FC. Every single time.
Any ideas???
Thanks in advance!
Im not sure, but I think it has something to do with the fact that the update gave us a new android version. I dealt with the same problem last night as well. What was weird was that the only app that restored the app+data without FC probkems was Angry Birds.
Restoring the apps only (no data) worked every time though...
Reboot into recovery, Fix permissions, reboot. I had no problems at all after doing this.
When i use titanium backup i'm only showing some xoom functions, not my apps. How do i fix that? Did look for threads before posting btw.
I had this problem also. I tried restoring all my apps + data and got force closes. I uninstalled the apps and downloaded them from the market- they'd work.. Try to restore data to the newly downloaded app and again it would FC. Market doesn't recognize the apps that are replaced via Titanium Backup so I had to download them anyway just so I would be able to stay updated.
Another problem I had- Titanium no longer recognizes that I bought the pro version. I downloaded both parts (titanium free and the pro version- that's just a key...) but Titanium doesn't open all features after downloading Pro from Market. I see donate version only beside hypershell, etc...
It also takes a VERY long time to ask for root rights when starting up... Anyone else?
I will try to restore one app from Titanium and fix permissions as mentioned earlier in the thread. Here goes nothin'....
To the guy having issues finding his apps- try installing the busybox installer from jrummy16 in the market (the other one didn't work for me), install busybox 1.9 from it because the busybox that TB installs didn't work for me (and other people) and then make sure in your preferences that you have the correct folder selected for backing up. The autodetect worked for me.
EDIT: Wow! Fixing permissions solved the FC issue- now I can restore all my apps. The problem with TB not recognizing that I've downloaded Pro version remains however.

I'm having the same issues you are having with TB. It takes a very long time to get root permissions and it will not recognize my pro key either. It says "Reboot / See checkout.google.com". I found a thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13728994&highlight=titanium#post13728994 ) that has mention of what at least one person was able to do to get it working, but it's not working for me. My busybox is v1.18.4, but it's just not working.
Fixing permissions didn't do it for me, but I appreciate the response.
It's weird- the apps and data install fine. I run the apps and they seem to load alright but within 2 or 3 seconds they always FC.
It's very odd....
Thanks for the replies folks!
Titanium has been updated. Everything works great now.

Purchased Titanium Backup Pro Paid Version But Not Showing Up As Paid In New Rom

Hey,
I bought the paid version of titanium backup pro in hopes that every time I install a new rom, I don't have to manually press okay to install all my apps again which can take a lot of time. I bought the full version and backed up titanium pro to a zip file so I can flash it when I install my new rom (as instructed to).
When I installed my new rom and then flashed titanium backup from the zip file, it doesnt show it as the paid version. I tried everything, removing it, installing the paid version from titanium backup itself, downloading the free version again from the market, updating it. It won't let me re-download the paid version from the market even though it said I already bought it.
I've emailed them twice about this and still haven't got a response.
Its very frustrating because I want to install new roms but don't want to manually recover all the apps again in the batch mode.
Please help
I've always just redownloaded tibu and then after it installed redownloaded the paid patch. It hasn't given me any problems so far.

You won't.
Literally EVERY single time I use TB I get the message that I need the paid key.
I've unnstalled and reinstalled TB about 20 times (conservatively speaking) and it still comes up that I need the paid version to freeze an app.
No response whatsoever from from them and no solutions on this site either.
Solved it for me!
I had the same problem and managed to solve it:
* After flashing a new ROM
* I Installed Titanium backup from Google Play
* Inserted my External SD Card which had the backup folder for TiBU
* At this stage TiBU did not recognise I already paid for the PRO version in the past and requested I pay to get the PRO features
* I went into TiBU Settings/Preferences/Backup Folder Location and chose "Detect!" to find the folder on the External SD Card that had all my backups
* Went back to the main TiBU screen and chose Backup/Restore and scrolled to "Titanium Backup Pro", clicked it and chose "Restore"
* Then restarted TiBU
* All good! PRO as should be!

[Q] Titanium Backup Pro

I bought Titanium Backup Pro and have a key.
However, whenever I flash a new ROM, all my apps start coming back. If I try to install the Key from the Play Store, it gets pushed under everythign else and downloads at the end.
I tried the option in Titanium Backup settings where it copies Titanium Backup as an update.zip to the sd card, but that only restores the regular, FREE Titanium Backup app, without the key.
So my question is: How do I restore the Titanium Backup Pro Key on my first boot into a new rom, without installing any of the other apps I previously had? (I prefer to restore everything with Titanium Backup, rather than letting the Play Store do it)
Thanks for reading
When you flash a new rom uncheck keep this phone backed up with my google account. That is not exactly how its worded but its in the initial set up.
REplY
You should have installed MY BACKUP ROOT before flashing the new rom

I do the following steps:
before installing new ROM,
I first back up all apps using Titanium Backup. I ensure that I back up the Titanium PRO app as well.
Then after installing the new ROM... i do the following:
after signing into the phone - I go to play store and stop all downloads and install Titanium Backup free.
when I run the free version it automatically registers the PRO version as it is backed up in it.
then I can restore all other apps using Titanium back up PRO.
Let me know if this was helpful to you.
Yeah I figured it, what I have to do is sign in from my account but uncheck the boxes for backing up accounts and restoring to the phone. Then I just download both the program and its key from the market. Thanks!

I I wish there were more tutorials about the TB pro....
Reply to your question
I hear dev support is pretty good (never had to contact him/her/them myself though)
because when applications freeze, then thaw and then I said: application not installed
I leave the option to keep my phone baked up to my account when I flash a new rom, but always uncheck the first option that says something to the effect of "restore from my account". Then I grab tb from the play store, unless the rom has a baked in file explorer, since I keep a copy backed up in my storage.
Installing my backup root prior to flashing a new rom will do absolutely no good if you wipe data.

You guys are unchecking the 'backup to google accounts ' box, but can you check it again, later on? Because I do want my stuff to be backed upwith google as well.

I always leave the backup to Google option checked, but always uncheck the restore from Google option.

Oh. That makes sense!

You dont have to uncheck anything, as soon as the phone gets to the homescreen just go to the play store and stop the downloads just takes a click. Keeping google restore checked you will have your contacts back as soon as you boot up.
Contacts will restore whether the restore from Google account is selected during initial setup or not, as long as contacts are allowed to sync with your account.

I see I didn't know that.

Solved the problem by installing openrecovery-twrp and than in recovery mode CWM-SuperSU-v0.99

TB not restoring apps
Hello, before I installed Pac-Man 4.4, I made a backup with TB. Ported them with usb to my desktop from the computer. did a full wipe. flashed pacman 4.4 and gapps. then i installed tb from the play store, also pro version, then ported the files back from computer to tb file, opened tb and want to choose restore but there are zero apps to restore and normaly there are 350. Some help is welcome thank you.

Issue in Android L with root and Titanium Backup.

I'm tired of search. Write a post is my last resort always.
The thing is I've tried with both Android L builds and got the same. I install Titanium Backup and SuperSU (have tried 2.01 and 2.02 newest versions) prompt for super user privilegies, however Titanium Backup clearly states it don't have root access... and inside SuperSU app you can see Titanium Backup as rooted.
The strange thing is that I've been searching about this since the morning and see no one with this issue, that's why I'm writing this post.
How can I get Titanium Backup to work properly with root?
Thanks in advance.
PS: My phone is rooted since Root Explorer works like a charm.
