1.3-5303 This update adds a new feature for Android 2.2 users 2011-09-05 130MB
This update do contain a new Boot Loader version 1.3 ... wondering is that a preparation to HC source code release to the public when Ice Cream will be out next month?
not to be a downer, but this new bootloader, if true, might just be updates made from previous 1.2 builds that have been pulled due to issues. From my understanding we will not get an official HC upgrade! We will make do though with XDA and their intelligent developers!
As for ice cream, i read an article that Notion Ink was going to be upgrading their tablet to Ice cream.....although yet to be seen, Notion (Adam) supposedly made the comment on this....http://blogs.computerworld.com/18962/ice_cream_sandwich_nexus_prime_rumors?source=rss_blogs
The gtabs will have no chance to get an ice cream Sandwich . At least developers are working towards porting hardware acceleration on gtab HC rom.
As for BL 1.3 , i do hope that viewsonic not releasing another new series of bootloader, the difference of BL 1.1 and BL 1.2 has created a fair share of bricked gtab

The timing is interesting, but we have seen HC ROMS that can boot off 1.2 so I don't see why a 1.3 BL would be developed soley in preparation for a public HC release.
Sorry if this is a double post

WARNING!
EVERYTHING uploaded to the FROYO folder on my server is highly unstable, and may cause your phone to lag, die, brick, or blow up. Hereby I state that I'm not responsible for ANYTHING what happens to your device. You've been warned!
The TestROM file is just for the people who wants to test the merge-kernel what I made from the 003Z and MoDaCo Paul's Alpha3 release of Froyo kernel! It is highly under development, AND I HAVE NOT TESTED IT!
great! Hopefully it will develop to be a stable system! really love froyo
Nice to see the blade on XDA! Sweet flavor on froyo as well.

Hi, and welcome, that's my first post on this forum. I'm looking for polish version froyo on my ZTE Blade. Is somethink like that at all? My ZTE Blade come to me on Wednesday, I'v 512mb RAM, Amoled version, if this ROM will work on this version?
If you have an MSI windpad 7 or 10 and want to update its firmware, here is the link to the latest : http://event.msi.com/nb/enjoy/enjoy7.html#/?div=Firmware
Fair warning : This 2.3 gingerbread update doesn't improve performance much, it looks better than android 2.2 but people report different bugs that I didn't experience myself.
A bug I am experiencing with it is that its bluetooth and wifi are going crazy, not detecting devices like they used to do on android 2.2. be warned if you use this tablet with your car's bluetooth, it probably will stop connecting to it after the 2.3 update.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE : if anyone just bought this tablet and still has android 2.2 on it, please be cool and catch an image of it to share with us who updated to the buggy firmware. MSI customer support sucks, they don't keep old firmware on their website!
Here's how you can make an "image" of your firmware : http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/0...nandroid-backup-and-clockworkmod-rom-manager/
You should end up with a .img file that you can reinstall later if you find out the update is buggy for you.
Don't hesitate to post or PM me if you need help.
Hi adilator, just found this post via a google search. I have a windpad 7 that I havent updated yet. Am happy to do an image of it when I get home later.
Was hoping to find a way to get Skype video working on the damn thing but guessing this firmware update doesnt help so wont put myself through it
Hi leemako.
The normal skype you download from android play (market) doesn't work on this tablet, you need to use the one bundled with its original firmware. if you updated skype and it's not working, you can easily revert the update and go back to the original installation by going to the applications management page and click on "unistall updates".
is your tab on android 2.2 or did it come with 2.3 preinstalled?
I'd really appreciate your help if you can share the img with us.
Btw, if you must root the tab, don't do the root img available on a thread in this forum, it will install a new version of the firmware with the bug I'm trying to avoid. You should test the various froyo root tools available such as Z4root or gingerbreak, look here : http://www.itsmyiphoneworld.com/android-device/howtorootandroidversionfroyo222
ah sorry, I just checked and it was bundled with 2.3.1.
Hey it's ok leemako.
For anyone landing on this page after a search, if you're looking for the best custom rom for this tablet, here's where you should look : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668786
It's a great rom based on the latest official rom but with an ICS skin that makes it look a million times better.
Hi all,
I decided to have a go a making my own custom firmware for the Ployer Momo8 IPS with the following goals.
Objectives
Pre-rooted.
Removal of pre-installed Chinese apps.
Removal of bloatware.
Extend /data partition.
Make it a "Google Experience" device.
ClockWorkMod Recovery (for donors)
I think I've been fairly successful. My firmware includes Android 4.1.2 features and even some Android 4.2 features. Until someone succesfully ports Cyanogenmod to the Ployer Momo8 IPS or Ployer release a 4.2.x update then my firmware is the most complete "Google Experience" you'll find for the device.
Downloads
You can find downloads, full change log, FAQs, instructions and more from my blog.

Kernel source for RK3066 tablets can be found below, although I use the pre-built kernel provide in the Official Ployer firmware.

Donations
Please consider donating to this project. It is nice to have the effort I've put into this custom firmware recognised. Donors will be given access to a version of the custom firmware with ClockWorkMod Recovery integrated. I don't ask for much, it is at your discretion, but just think how happy I'll look when I am sipping the beer you bought me :victory:
Why is the ClockWorkMod Recovery version only available to donors? Several reasons:
The CWM version is not a "must have", it's a "nice to have".
When STOCK and CWM ROMs were available, most people downloaded both. This uses lots of bandwidth that I pay for.
People kind enough to donate get something in return and I get a beer.
I hope that sounds fair to you? Please consider donating, even if you don't want the CMW version.
New builds available. Some have reported that WiFi works best with firmware based on 20121120, so I'm now making 4 versions of my custom firmware

Hi, I have one question; do you think this firmware could work with the Momo7 tablet? t seems to have the same specs, just a smaller size screen (the version I'm gonna get even has 1280x800 IPs screen).
Thanks!

Hello I need stock rom or driver for Momo8w in windows 10
Hello community,
Here I am to ask something before doing any harm to my phone. In March I bought a chinaphone, an Ulefone u9592 (MTK6592 processor) and wanted to upgrade it to Android Kitkat. Back in time I read that a stable release of an Android 4.4 ROM for such processor wasn't released yet but now I've noticed that there are some devices mounting it(or at least the net says so.) Is out there any ROM I could use or I gotta wait some more? Thank you for the answers and noobfriendliness!
nope
"]Kitkat is till date only available for mtk6582......... mediatek is a ****ty company when it comes to releasing the source codes/////////......
Hi everyone!
I'd been having tethering issues with my Nvidia Shield Tablet running Update 3.0 (LMY47H.32256_546.1774). Anyway...
Long story short, I was looking for the Recovery Image and 3.0 has disappeared and all the older recovery images have the same release date, 2015/07/09.
Having built the Tegra AOSP for ST8, I thought I'd look at the repo. And sure enough, there is a new branch!
So hopefully there will be a 3.1/3.0.1 update, with Android 5.1.1 under the hood. Hopefully a factory image will fix my non functional tethering.
I'm going to build rel-st8-l-r5-partner and see how it is.
I remember looking on Nvidia's forum stating that 3.0 was pulled due to an audio issue on some devices after flashing.
Seems like I've had 3.0 on my tablet for what seems to be ages.
I've been trying to compile the new branch, but it keeps failing. Made sure I have all the requisite packages installed for Ubuntu with Gnome 15.04.
The new build is 5.1 - LMY47Q, up from LMY47H.
Should know the results in around 90 mins.
I hope this turns ok.
Because, the tegra note 7 users who installed the LP OTA, report the same issues that were reported by NST users who installed ota 3.0 (sound issues, no OTG, apps optimizing on every reboot)...
