Sensation Hole - HTC Sensation

So there I was, sitting around angry at my phone for the whole back cover issue, staring at my phone I noticed a piece of the bezel "chipped off." I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this or not, but I took a trip to Best Buy and didn't see it on the display model.
Anyone else have this hole?

It is normal I have it on mine and the other sensations I have seen. I think it is a sensor of some sorts.

It's one of the sensors. we got 3 sensation in the family and they have it.

I have this. I had to to replace my first Sensation for new one and the device has this "hole". Anybody knows what this is?

Now we just need that dust to be there for a reason too!
Matt

no dust can pass through the proximity sensor. but the front camera though has some potential. lol

Remove the battery & you should see a little white circle. If its not white, then that is sign that it has water damage.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
There is a round circle LDI bottom right corner of the battery bay. There is a rectagle LDI on the bottom right of the battery. And then supposedly there is one in the bottom right rounded corner of the device in a small little hole. When viewed from the side, the hole is parallel to the HOME icon on the face of the phone. That supposed LDI voided my return of the device even though the Battery Bay and Battery LDi's were unchanged.
Just a dumb question, what is water damage?

Now its annoying me as well, i have another sensation and when i place the new cover the creaking stops, but i have a skin protector on this one so im reluctant to change it !.... oh I had this phone 2 days! lol
I phoned Vodafone about this, and they are aware of the problem. They told me to pop to a store, and they would change the back housing
Question is how long will it been till that starts creaking!!?? Fml lol

When you are referring to the back housing are you referring to the cover or parts on the phone itself?

I'm refering to the back cover mate around near the search key. The creaking is affecting the right side of the phone all the way to the middle of the screen.. its really annoying

Here's a quick and easy fix: Buy this:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and get a cotton swab. Soak the tip in the dry lube. Then rub the tip where I've shown in this picture:
Phone feels brand new.
Can this be claimed under warranty? The creaking is caused by the cover having a bit of a gap (<1mm) at the bottom, right under the serach button.

WTF!!!..Dust at the bottom of the screen.

Hello friends I have a question ... How I can clean the dust that comes under my screen, I never thought that this phone would allow that, HTC sensation has given me many headaches, before the signal, then the battery life , then the warming and now this ****, damm wtf ...I don't know if was a good idea buy this phone after all.

He means the dust issue...Not powder, as in loose dust shaking around in the bottom, that's silly. Just return the phone. Mine is free of dust now.
Matt
Can the OP upload picture of the powder? I heard the dust usually come from right & left middle of screen. Never heard from bottom yet..

What has happened is your lcd screen must have been jarred from the impact. They are not expensive and quite easy to replace. Here is an instructional video : http://www.google.com/m?hl=en&gl=us...action=devloc&q=mytouch+4g+screen+replacement

It could possibly be the connection, either way you'll be opening it up, might as well check if you can fix it before buying a new LCD.
Check the connection and see. Otherwise you will be replacing it.

One x glass replacement???

Well my phone dropped off my chair and broke the glass... Sucks...
Should I order the screen with the lcd or just the screen and digitizer??? Anyone replaced the screen yet??? I've done iphones and itouchs... Not a android yet...
TIA

In another thread somewhere here on XDA, someone covered this. Pretty sure he said to get both because separating the old and rejoining the new perfectly was near impossible. Search for the post to confirm.

Kinda rainbow noise. Did I break a ribbon or connector, or did I simply put it together wrong?
Any advice would be appreciated. Made a good faith effort as searching for previous threads with this specific problem and didnt see anything.

I fix phones for a side job.. it looks like the screen you got either arrived DOA with a damaged ribbon cable, or you damaged it or the connections inside when installing. Unfortunately, most places don't accept returns on equipment that has been installed and taken off.
