So I've looking around, and tried a few things to increase the volume, like dst manager, which doesn't seem to work, but cannot find something legit. does anyone know how to boost the volume for the phone's speaker/ bluetooth sound? or if this is possible?
Omg!!! Post in the right section!!

There may already be a similiar thread under the accessories header, please look around and use common sense when posting. This is for development only...
VooDoo v10 is bad ass for headphones.
get a VooDoo enabled ROM/Kernel, and get VooDoo controll Plus (worth the money)
Voodoo rocks headphone Gain
Nuff Said,Vegas
I'm looking for the same thing... I think this guy is looking for something cooked into a kernel. Coming from an inspire, most kernels come with anywhere from 10-25% audio boost.
VOODOO is great for music and bass boost but doesn't do a thing for phone calls.

Hi all. Excuse me if anyone asked this question already. I did search and didn't find a thread on it, but is there a hack to increase volume a tad for a rooted gs4g? TIA!

if ya wanna go the safe route without having to flash anything new, you can just DL "galaxy tuner" from the market, my ISH is cranked!! its got other uses too but i use it for audio in order to make sure i hear the Ph going off. its got 5 bars of EQ you can mess with in order to get a nice crisp sound thats LOUD as HE||

Noe that's news we're all waiting for
Voodoo control plus from the app market, only 2$ and worth every penny, makes a world of difference. Best sound quality I've heard out of a phone.
download "galaxy tuner" from the market, you can amp your lil SGS4g speaker pretty high
i actually bought the voodoo control sound last week.
I bought the voodoo control app for $2 in the market. I rooted for this app. YOU DON'T NEED A CUSTOM KERNEL! The sound is GREAT on my Bose Mobile headphones

Hey guys,
When I first got my inspire I loved the audio output coming from the headphone Jack. I am now running the android revolution rom and the sound quality sounds like it leaves something to be desired on the lower end frequencies, I was wondering if anyone else noticed this and what you did to fix it
Thanks

ARHD 6.1.0 has known audio issues on the Inspire (judging by the comments in the dev thread). Earlier versions may need the Inspire tinny fix applied to them (link is in the dev thread).
BTW your question would be better placed in the Q&A thread for ARHD.
Youre right, my apologies. Can the mods please move this to the right section?
And while I'm at it ill ask this question to everyone. Which ROM have all of you found to have the best sound quality?
I came from a Captivate and the Voodoo sound enhancement made phone sound better than my laptop with SRSwow sound effects. I was hoping this phone would be just as good if not better with the Dolby and SRS built in
*EDIT* I was using poweramp then decided to give playerpro with the DSP pack a try and it sounds waayyy better. Definitely worth a try

not to shamelessly plug away....but......
With a response from the dev himself I'm going to have to check it out

Yeah I never had a problem with the sound in the stock firmware. It was a lot better considering I came from an x10 which had horrible quality. Depends on what your standards are.
Can we get this on the sk4g? I saw some posts with people adding it in and what not on other forums.

Can you define what you're looking for, or link to another thread where they did this? I'm not sure what is being asked, from what I've seen from commercials, Beats audio is a hardware piece (never looked into it though, so I'm probably dead wrong).
the hardware limit is +5db from what i have seen via voodoo control so maybe not possible

It says sense roms only, it works through the HTC music player so I dunno if there is a way around it using the music app. It would be a sweet feature to have although I dunno how much we can trust the sound quality coming from a bunch of rappers they probably just turned the bass up to max and labelled it "beats" audio ;P
In my experience, Voodoo tends to make it sound better, rather than Beats, which makes it sound louder *my opinion*
I would suggest that you try out one of the Voodoo kernels with the Voodoo Control app and see if that sound quality sounds better to you.
Yes, the hardware limit is +5db.
In that thread they're saying that there's much more bass (no suprise) and clearer sound, which already comes in Voodoo (there's even a bass boost option).

Please refrain from doing that , it's uncalled for post something useful next time .

I'm curious as to what voodoo is. I keep hearing its name and I kind of understand it. Would it boost my speaker volume? I don't listen to music on my phone as I have an iPod for that. So would I benefit from this? How do I go about adding it? I am on HellFire 1.8 bye too. I'm sorry if this has been asked already I did a search and didn't see anything.

If you don't listen to music on your phone, it doesn't really make a difference for you. On the G2x, it just increases headphone volume. But if you did want it, install Voodoo control from the Market, plug in some headphones, and enable it. From there, you can increase the Max dB settings to increase/decrease volume.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any suggestions for a good and safe volume boost? My speakers seem really quiet.

On Galaxy S phones, it has a huge increase in sound quality. On the G2x, it only affects volume, based on personal experience. From the Market description:
Market description said:
Introduces LG Optimus 2x and T-Mobile G2x support.
11.Sound quality is not yet optimal on these devices: needs a lot of work to fix LG issues in their audio implementation and then add more quality optimizations.

volume+ for boost on speakers I believe, and ya I only notice volume with voodoo with headphones no real sound improvements in my opinion.
The DSP Manager lets you tweak the sound as well and I noticed a big improvement in quality using that. It comes with HFP
Pin it to Win it.
Don't give false info...u can't just install the app. You have to have a kernel that enables it. The app just controls it

From the Market for Voodoo Sound app.
Description
This app controls Voodoo sound for Galaxy S, Nexus S phones Galaxy Tab and Asus Transformer running custom kernels implementing Voodoo patches.
If you don't want or cannot flash a kernel, my commercial app "Voodoo Control Plus" has the ability to load Voodoo Sound with only root.
Stock CM kernel does not support Voodoo, but Faux's does.
Just FYI

The only benifit to the g2x that i know of is the increase in dB which is helpful for using with a tape player adapter in a car stereo and driving headphones with slightly higher Ohms.
Also, I get louder volume on the tape adapter which helps with avoiding static by not having to turn the volume up so high.
Does anyone know of any tweaks to increase the max volume output through wired speakers on the Photon? If so, please share!
Oops!
...will change title in a few and move "LTE" post to the proper forum...
I think it's pretty loud and good. I don't even set it at the max volume.

on asa14 is sound much better, but before i have using beats app for increase volume
I meant headphone volume. Tried flashing beats, using the proper procedure and resulted in a black, backlit screen, phone wouldn't boot.

beats works...but only one version and i forgot what ver is it.
Search in photon q forum history - it was my thread.
edit : I have found it
look here:

I use PowerAmp and it let's you mess with the replay gain and has a pre-amp in the equalizer which both increase the headphone volume. Not exactly sure how but I usually tweak both till I find a setting to my liking. On software version 14 and haven't really needed it except to change a particular volume level because the stock ones are in between what I like.
I've been on ASA14 since first time I bought my Photon Q. I think it's so loud and better than my Atrix HD audio output.
Yeah, I use power amp myself...good app, but still looking to increase overall output, the preamp works only to a certain degree. I am searching more for a build.prop edit or app to actually increase output from the system itself, not limited to one particular application. But thanks!

Oh, I was not familiar with that acronym, but I do have the latest update, still would like some extra dB gain when using headphones though...
I use Music Volume EQ by K & K Designs on google play. Free. *I'm stock as hell
