Im searching for a confirmed working app that can add sound profiles.
So i can automaticly let the phone go to silent when i sleep, and when im at weekly meetings i can also put the phone to silent. And when im not, that every sound works again, that everything returns to normal.
I have already tried 2 apps. One made my lock/unlock sound not working anymore, even when i removed, rebooted the phone, and one other i tried didnt work at all.
I search for a app that is confirmed working on your optimus 3d.
I hope you guys can help me out
Thanks.

Hi guys,
I got a 3 days old sensation, and for the past 3 days it keeps going to auto silent mode, (wont ring, no alarm, games & music all no sound) even my notification and volume is max.
The problem goes away after I make a call and it will comeback again anytime.
I only installed some popular apps (known for no issue) such ass Whatapps, Wiki, Angry bird, Dictionary and some games for my toddler.
I am still good for 7 days exchange policy, but I hope I could fix the issue, having installed screen protector and all, i wish to keep this set
Anyone can help me?
Thanks!
Some games are not compatible with Sensation and caused a loss of sound. I have to try the game Talking tom cat or some similar games ( Talking.....) and causing the whole system sound. You only need to uninstall that game and restart the device >>> The device works correctly again

Good to know, thanks for the tip.
seems to be a common problem and there are a few threads on here about it. some think it's incompatible apps but I don't have any of the ones that are ever listed & I get it. the sure way to get sound back without restarting is just as you do, make a call, I call voicemail, & then it'll come back.
If you look, your phone is locked in media volume & that's the issue.
Thanks for the reply guys...
I found the culprit, yes! ancola66 is right! it was the TALKING GINA, got it uninstalled and all fine.
Auto silent for no reason HTC Sensation
Heya,
Thought I'd post this in response to the solutions. It may be an application that's causing the problem but I tried all that and removed applications (none of whihc were games - iplayer type stuff) and reset the phone (factory reset) and still nothing.
Then I decided to plug in my headphones to see if that output worked. It did and when I unplugged them, voila, the speaker suddenly worked again!!
Morale: plug in some headphones if you have this problem before doing anything else.. It may solve it..
Hope this helps!
Auto silent for no reason on Sensation
Hey again,
It went silent for a reason when I wanted to play the HTC Music. I tried the headphone thing and no joy. But went into youtube and started something playing then did the headphone thing and the speaker's back on.
I will never understand this, but it seems to work for me.

I had cyanogen 7 installed on my new htc inspire 4g phone from at&t, everything was working fine, but when i got a call, the ringtone i choiced didn't play, only another random ringtone started to play. So i thought maybe needed to reboot it, but nothing. So then i decided to find that ringtone that was playing by using astro app, and delete it. When i got done, and tried my phone again, to see if it accepted the ringtone of my choosing, nothing, it didn't even play any ringtone, it just vibrated. its sooo frustrating that i can't hear my calls!!!!. PLEASE HELP....

I bought the Galaxy S 4g for my girlfriend. It came with a custom rom on it and I am not familiar with it at all. When I turn the phone on, the Team Acid logo appears so it is obviously created by them. The phone plays music, plays back the ringtone when you go through them to set one as a default ringer. The problem is when someone is calling the phone, the phone doesn't ring, there is no sound. I have checked all the settings, its not on silent or anything else like that. All the other sounds work on the phone fine. There is just no sound when someone is calling her phone. If anyone has any idea what is going on with the phone, I would appreciate the help. Let me know if there is anymore information you need about the phone software.
That's pretty cool you bought a phone with Team Acid on it! If you want to flash back to stock follow the guide in the second link in my signature. You can then go to the dev section and look for a stable custom ROM. It sounds like you might be on Miui.
Sounds like MIUI
if you ain't first you're last
Last night after muting my phone before going to bed I noticed the lock/unlock sounds don't work and the keyboard sounds are also gone. I've tried remuting the phone, checking all the volume levels, making sure the boxes are checked for the sounds to play. I've gone as far as reflashing my current ROM (CM9 nightly) and still nothing. Anyone have any other ideas? Email, text, phone and reminder sounds work fine.
My phone is a NS4G on sprint running the newest CM9 nightly. I've muted my phone before going to bed every night and this is the first time I've had an issue with these sounds not playing.
EDIT: I found the solution for myself. Download audio manager and see your system volume, mine was set to 0 for whatever reason. There is no native system volume setting but other apps can change it so it's good to have the audio manger to see if any other app changes that setting.
I have a Nexus S 4g running slimbean official 7. It was been great for the last 3 months then for the last few days I have been losing my audio. It's just phone sounds and audio that doesn't work, notifications, and voice calls. Apps, games, slacker or other music apps seem to work fine. Sometime the audio will work for a little bit and then cut out. Like I can usually reboot the phone and the audio will work, but I will make a phone call and hear the 1st ring, then it will cut out and nothing else will work. I can test to see if the audio is working but just changing the volume and see if it makes the been letting you hear the volume level. Once or twice I can get it to start working for a bit by going back and forth between vibrate and ring, but most of the time that has no effect. I can't really tell what makes it work, and what makes it go out. It has been working great up until now, I really don't want to have to factory reset, I really wanna know what is causing this. One other thing is that it seems like several apps get really slow when the audio goes out, like the dialer app will hang and ask if i want to close it, but if you wait it always comes back, same with my launcher and sometimes the system settings if I am messing around in there, it also seems the volume slider is slow to respond when the sound isn't working, but very responsive if it is working. I haven't installed any new apps or made any changes that I know of since this started. I have tried killing and extra apps with no effect, and tried rebooting to recovery and clearing cache with no effect either. Sometimes you can reboot the phone just for the audio to work for a second or two before cutting out again.
Try greenify app and update slimbean. Make a nandroid backup first then restore via Nandroid Manager.
Download+Backup+Flash+Restore takes about 3 hours for me (i got many SMS).
