Where can I find a Backup ? - HTC Sensation

Hi there,
I received my Sensation a week ago and I rooted it + S Off.
I now that it avoids the warranty and I'd like to know If i had to go to TMobile or use my Warranty, how to put back the Stock Rom ? With Tmobile BootLogo etc.. ?
Thanks for help

By restoring your nandroid backup thru recovery! This is something you should have researched before even rooting your device. Suprised you didn't brick your device! Did you even create a backup of your stock ROM before you flashed a custom ROM?

Well you can flash the stock ruu...and if need be u can get s-on per same guide u got s-off...so i suggest u make that dev section ur best friend, all the threads and guides u need r there
Edit: oh yeah, as dude above said, u can also just restore the nand before u got root

If you used Odin and flashed a kernel that has cwm then yes you can flash from that cwm recovery.
Check the development section for drhonks kernels thread and odin KJ1 with Voodoo and CWM. Its rooted, and will have CWM for you.
As for which ROM is best...
No.
Its pretty much impossible to answer that question. We have a few really good ROMs and its all personal preference. I would personally suggest trying out SimplySimple, INCINB, Octane or Valhalla.
Its a toss up, theyre all great.

You need to use a modified kernel, Stock gingerbread kernel is not rootable doing his modification will screw your video up and you won't have video at all.

Are we waiting on source to drop so kernel can be pulled from it? Or will it still be unrootable then?

Sorry but I am too having the above problem. I'm afraid I do not understand about the kernel
Can someone explain? I have been searching for an answer but come up with nothing
Thanks
You would have to flash a rooted kernel with Odin to get root then use the sgs kernel flasher to flash the stock kernel if you want it.

Must be something wrong with the phone Odin said PASS but still does not work
Thanks
im putting all the tools needed together in a single package. soc is a thing of the past... i will need time to test it which means flashing the official firmware and whatever.
once everyone has root, dont ask for cwm... that will seriously put me in a bad mood.

[Q] @ Dman

First of all, After reading a lot here (maybe not enough) Thanks for all you have done and are doing..
As my post count shows i am a supernoob at this android phone stuff with this being my first smart phone..I would like to ask you a question in regards to your [ROM][2.3.6]SGH-I997 UCLB1 [Rooted, deodexed, busybox].
I updated my phone through kies mini with the first Samsung release of GB so it is not rooted and you say flash your ROM with CWM which needs root that I don't have.
Can i flash this ROM with ODIN since from what I have read does not require root? (Or am I wrong thinking ODIN does not need root access?)
I'll be honest some of the threads about flashing are pretty confusing when you have never done it before.
Anyhow... Thanks in advance for any reply..
P.S. I give you total permission to hit me upside the head with the stupid stick if I missed the answer to this..
No.. you cannot flash with Odin.... my suggestion is to Odin gtg unbrick.... or flash the community gb kernel to cwm, then wipe and flash my rom ... it is only cwm flashable... if u use gtg unbrick, then root with superoneclick, 3e modified recovery to get cwm, then flash my rom. You will not be able to flash it from the official update. Good luck bro

I have a rooted skyrocket, with touch clockworkmod, and i was wondering. If i were to flash a rom onto my skyrocket, and i decided to return to stock, can i still flash it using cwm or must i use odin? I saw a thread earlier informing to use odin to get back to stock, but im just making sure its ok that i use cwm instead thanks. Sorry again, im a noob
Cwm will stay on your phone. Just use a rom thats rooted. (If it doesnt say its not then it surely is) all will be well.

Seems like you need to do a lot of research before you're ready to do anything with your phone. I would start with going to your specific devices thread and read all the stickies, guides and info that you can get your hands on. Then you might be ready to start into your device.
I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to get you to realize what it takes to mod your device. And keep in mind that only you are responsible for your device, so understanding everything before you start is the best practice.
