Could be alot off things. A issue with the sim card to not being carrier permited. Could also have being blacklisted by a carrier .

bought a new sim card no dice....also the phone worked prior to this for like a month how would it get black listed....this happened immediatley after i hit gsm only by accident in phone settings

Edit: I noticed you started at least three separate threads with different bits of information... Not very good forum etiquette.
I haven't spent time to research this, does your MTS SIM card allow 2G roaming on Rogers? Or only 3G?
I can reproduce the problem, I am running CM7 on a 9020A, with the XXKB3 radio, on the Bell/Telus joint HSPA network, which does not have a 2G GSM network.
On the 9020A: toggling 3G back on, then reflashing an appropriate UCKB2 or UCKD1 radio should fix this. (Either through fastboot or with CWM and the appropriate zip radio files.) You can then reflash the 9020T uncapped XXKB1, XXKB3 or XXKD1 radios afterwards if you wish.

well i just tried uckd1 and nothing...about to try uckb2

attempted to write uckb2 but it said failed and i don't wanna try that again i briked a phone like that once.... so still emergency only calls and im on uckd1

ok! we have progress but not all the way there yet...i can now find the MTS network with uckd1 but when i click on it...it says unable to conect at this time....when i hit select automatically it says registered on network. This has not fixxed the problem just yet tho...any other suggestions?

[Q] Data network problem

I have flashed the ICS rom ported from su760 and lost my IMEI no., I followed the general guide to recover my IMEI and now it shows my IMEI n.o. correctly, but still I cannot receive any 3G signal but I can receive phone calls. It kept saying network disallowed. I have tried to flash different basebands (im currently in US) but still this problem exists. I have read most of the guide already but nothings work....Can someone please help me out??

[Q] P3100 can't make or receive calls after official update. What to do?

The provider specific SIM menu is available, but the tablet shows no signal. Even when it shows one, the signal disappears the moment I try to make a call or am about to receive one. The caller can still hear ringing while the tablet lists the call as missed call.
My father's Galaxy Tab 2 7" automatically tried updating through wifi but failed (I presume), and the SIM functions stopped working.
After many attempts I updated it through OTA to the latest firmware, shown as PDA:NA3 / PHONE:LK1 / CSC:NB1 (INU) in Kies, and the Android version was listed as 4.1.2., but the problem persisted.
I tried to wipe cache. It didn't sort the problem.
Then I Installed CWM 6.0.7 and Cyanogenmod 10.1 (JB 4.2.2) using this tutorial: wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_p3100
Still it can't make or receive calls.
Baseband version is listed as p3100ddclk1
What to do?
Is this a hardware or firmware problem?

Even I am facing the same order on my tab but in a different way. I can recieve signal for the carrier Tata Docomo but other carrier are showing any sign of life
But sometimes while on tata docomo , I lost signals while using data or when I got a call. And one more thing, I was on a trip to a hill station and there I was getting signals from Vodafone perfectly (my main service provider). But when I came back from there I ain't receiving any peice of signals from vodafone and Docomo is working as usual with few network losses during the day.
PS.- I ain't received any solution yet, still sticking up with that problem.
PPS.- The tab I brought is in used condition with the fact that the tab has that problem in it. (I need not to pay much lol)
Btw I think if we can flash new firmware (official) with odin with modem file, It may sokve our problem. TRY FLASHING FIRMWARE, I cant as I am low on speed

I am not sure about the Model file alone but you can download whole firmware from sammobile.com, they have firmware of all Samsung devices region wise, just login to enjoy better speed.

[Q] Data Working, but No Calling

Hello, I have the Boost Mobile Moto G flashed to the Stock Verizon Firmware Image (for PagePlus), and I have done a Over The Air Program, using *22890 and *22891, and I can get 3G data just fine.
But my problem here is that I am not able to send or receive any calls to/from any number. It all stopped working today, after flashing and erasing a few custom ROMS, but when those were flashed, I was able to call, but I had no data. Now both on Stock and on Custom Roms, I cannot call, but only use my data. Is there anything I can do to attempt to fix this? Thank you in advanced.

Hi i hope someone can help. My phone has been working fine for 2 weeks, and today it just cut off the network. There is no network problems in my area and I've tried another sim card the problem is it says emergency calls only and won't connect to a network it just says try again later with multiple sims. However with one sim the Internet works but the cell won't make a call or text? Please advise also non rooted g920f

me too its happened to me on 18-July-2015 and my
- non rooted g920f
- IMEI changed to 350000000000004
- simcards not working ( not registered on network )
- i have signal bars without simcard !
- and when i reainstalled rom i found updates about 66mb i dont know because of updates or e have big prob here
any solution plz

Maybe a defective SIM card.

Perhaps a temporary network fault.

Your IMEI is corrupted then you are cut off the network!
If you have EFS (IMEI) partition backup try to restore it , for example by this app and you are done!
If you don't have backup of EFS partition you need to send phone to samusng service. (only samsung can't restore your original IMEI number)

My Samsung s6 sometimes picks up my carrier but when i make a call it goes to emergency calls only ? i am sometimes able to send a text but again it says emergency calls only after the text sends. I have tried many other sim cards and the same problem, I have also checked my IMEI and its fine.
Any help here guys ? Thanks

i tested many modem but not worked, do you have another solution??

Is it giving a message when you remove your SIM card from running S6 ? asking for reboot or something like that I can't remember correctly ? If it's not giving the message seems like something wrong with your SIM bay ?
