Hey guys I just found a little problem with freezing the stock messaging app and using gosms. It seemed to happen only recently with no other changes but I couldn't receive any mms, but I could send them fine. Anyone else run into this?

Yes. You shouldn't freeze or uninstall the stock app. Just deactivate the notifications.

I'm pretty sure in the disabling option in GOSMS there's a message saying that it can cause instability issues with MMS.

So what is the problem? Just don't uninstall the stock SMS/mms and you'll be fine. The stock is part of android and is needed.

Just trying to save ram and bat lol
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
You don't need to save ram with android. If your using a task killer that's probably where your battery drain is coming from.
Read this and you'll understand a little better.

Oh no I definitely don't use a task killer. Only thing is the one that comes with the go launcher ex. Just more worried about ram. But I'll check out the article for sure. Thanks.

Worried about RAM? Why? Just curious. What exactly are you doing with your Infuse that you need to spend time worrying about RAM?

Was this occurring before on stock or on a previous rom? Did you do a full wipe when switching to CM7rc1? Did you restore apps?
If you answer No, No, Yes to those questions then here is what you need to do: Full wipe, reinstall the rom do not restore apps through titanium backup or any other third party backup app.
This wasn't occurring until the last few nightlies. I don't use titanium to back my apps up. They resync when I enter my email address. Ill give your suggestion a try

No problem, glad you got it figured out.
I have prime 1.7 installed and its very laggy ...are there any pathches to fix the lag.
And the xda app keeps fc when I sign in .
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
From what I know, prime 1.7 isn't supposed to be laggy. Maybe u had a bad flash. Try reflashing. Also, the xda app crashing upon logon is a known issue with the free xda app. From my understanding, ifu purchase the premium app or the actual tapatalk app, they won't crash.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
Was laggy for me too. Try Revolver rom, super fast and no lags, and best part is ota updates using revolver parts app from the market.

Well that isn't fair. Shouldn't have to pay for the app to work right -.-
Try reflashing or clean it up. Whenever my TF slows down, I use SD Maid and a cache cleaner, and it speeds back up..

if i could, may i ask how you reached this conclusion?
If re flashing doesn't help, please try another ROM and Kernel to rule out a hardware defect.

This problem is extremely annoying. I have stock gingerbread g2x, and when I turn off the screen or it times out on its own, unlocking the screen will cause me to go back one or two times on my browser, effectively making my life miserable. Has anyone else experienced this?
Is this with the stock browser?
Try using dolphin it opera

Yes

I have never experienced this. Try a factory reset?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
You are most likely running out of memory. Try uninstalling some of the apps that run as services. You can check this from the application management.

No, this is surely a bug with the half-baked gb rom lg released. I experienced this bug right away after updating to it.

.....so I make a bookmark on chrome.....I sync said bookmark to google account....I jump on my tablet, turn sync on and bam its there....now here is my question....
Why can my phone's stock browser NOT do it....so irritating....simple little things that should just work ya know?
Thoughts....and I do not want to use a widget....or new browser...I just want it to work....can it?

I was saying that maybe the gingerbread browser simply doesn't sync to chrome and the honeycomb one does.

Trying to install the leaked apk on a leaked ICS room (the newest leak). It won't let me install it. Have any one else tried? Have install from unknown sources enabled.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
I had to use root explorer and push it in the system/app folder. If you have the vlingo.apk you need to rename it to vlingo.apk.old, put the new apk in that folder, set the permissions and restart. It'll load but as soon as it tries to reply to your request it will probably force close.
Edit: after doing those steps go back into the system/app folder with root explorer and install the apk like a normal app. After that its been working great!

Tried this link, installed fine, and acts like it is working good. Except after I do a voice command, it won't take another until I exit app and come back in.
Hope i'm not breaking any forum rules by posting this suggestion. You might want to try the app AVX on the market. It is a great voice command program. Took me about a week or so to get it working the way I want but love it now. You can also change the wake up phrase.
This doesn't work well. Extremely slow, laggy and voice recognition 90% of the time can't recognize the command. is this working better for anyone using a skyrocket?

Got it to work using Root Explorer and the system/app folder method, thanks. It force crashes when I try to set up my "Wake up command". Other than that, it seems pretty functional, alibet laggy.

Agreed. Cant stand it. Seems like Siri is the one and only thing Apple has over Droid. Although, i still would not trade a box full of iPhone 4S's for my Skyrocket. (No, this is not a troll post. I hate Apple with a burning passion.) I just wish we could get something comparable to Siri. I'll patiently wait.

Interesting that they don't use the navigation voice. After recent (last 2 months) update to maps and navigation Google included an upgrade voice to navigation.
