[ROM][22/07/12] ThiaiZO3D V2.8 GB-Stock,Stable and fast - LG Optimus 3D

Welcome to ThiaiZ O3D V2.8 GB
I saw that a lot of people out there would like a stock,stable,fast and rooted ROM, so i decided to make one on my own, keeping it as much as stock as possible.This is my first O3D ROM (promised to myself that i would just start developing after GB update, but its comming very soon so it's time) . I'm coming from HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S2 where I have always developed my own ROMs.Be patient and I do really want to help this community to grow and find the best for this incredible peace of engineering called LG Optimus 3D.Suggestions are always welcome.
Please don't send me PM asking me how to flash the ROM,baseband,kernel or whatever isn't related to development or ideas, I am not gonna answer. Post the questions in the ROM's thread instead.

How you Install it:
YOU MUST INSTALL "v21e GB BASEBAND" OR "v21e.KDZ" BEFORE YOU FLASH THE ROM.FLASHING A .KDZ FILE IS EASIER IMO:

-Download and copy the .ZIP file onto your SD or Phone.
-Restart device in CWM (Vol down + 3D + power)
-Backup your old Rom
-Wipe data + cache (All your data will be gone)
-Choose "Install Zip from SD card"
-Browse the .ZIP file and install it.(takes 3 minutes)
-Boot device and ENJOY.

I have gotten the other roms to work on my thrill. Example power froyo and kingdom 3d. The only thing I can't get 4g until someone pulls the radio off. I might try to get the thrill radio off tomorrow if I have time but yeah everything does work

Yes it functions on the Thrill I Just installed it and so far no flaws. No OC ability, at least not on the thrill anyway. Regardless though nice Rom.

Installing on mine now.. Soooo excited

No OC guys. But even with all the LG stuf
it feels smoothier and faster than the other ROMs I tried before. First time I dont get laggs on LG UI.

Have to agree with you there, even without OC the LG Launcher which did Lag Slightly every once in awhile is now fluid, also like how you got rid of the AT&T Logo and have the droid guy as the battery meter. Now once this sucker gets GB and an OC Kernel than we will see some **** hit the fan lol. Anyway good work like that you kept it mostly stock considering for some reason I am not really a fan of the other launchers.

i was using the rom with arcura kernel.
and those 2 rom are laggy as hell.
did you manage to fix that?

How to change the permission on es explorer?

So I noticed something with this Rom compared to Stock Rom on the Thrill. My GPS fixes position about 90% quicker which is a bit nuts actually surprised the hell out of me when that happened.

Dear Claudio67,
I have just tried to set an mp3 file as ringtone but still plays the default ringtone alson even i cant set to silent so i am sure it is an annoying bug and hope to be fixed soon... Also i agree that rom is really lag free and seems so stable...

Instructions on flashing this rom. And most others as well:
turn off your phone
hold volume down and press power button while still holding volume down
when prompted with the white screen press volume down to highlight recovery and press power to select
now using volume buttons to navigate and power to select go to wipe data/factory reset
then select wipe cache partition
now scroll down to install zip from sdcard and select
click on choose zip from sdcard
now find the rom on your sdcard and select and it will start flashing (do not mess with your phone while its flashing)
once installation is completed click go back and then click reboot system now
your rom will now run its first boot which can take anywhere from 3-6 minutes
enjoy the rom!

Eventually probably, but nobody has figured it out yet. There is a good discussion about this in the general section with a few people working on it.

no the kernel will not fix the 30fps graphics cap. also im just finishing compiling of a overclocked kernel to test.

also nobody has successfully booted a kernel from toast's source
edit: also auto-rotation is broken in kernel as well. just checked. and when screen dims touching it does not renew brightness settings

I couldn't agree more. I switched from T-Mobile 's horrible service and that was the best decision I've ever made. I do miss my nexus though. Looking forward to loading your ROM onbmy Evo. Did you optimize rosie at all yet?

That sounds amazing. I don't know if I'll flash the custom kernel just because the 8MP camera is one of my features...but maybe I'll try it if I'm feeling dangerous do we have to wait for source to be released for camera to be fixed or what?

;-P love the optimization. That's the problem with stock Rosie, too slow and sluggish. I hate accidental clicks. Looking forward to trying this. I may just have to try it with the custom kernel to see just HOW fast it is. If I get sick of not having the camera then I can always just flash the ROM over it without the kernel.

+1 I love my EVO and Sprint. I switched over from T-Mobile's super sketchy 3g coverage. I loved my nexus One but hated T-mobile!

This is a project to mix and port LG Prada 3.0 system to our LG O3D.It is working almost 100% but it is already good for daily use.LG Launcher 2 rolls much smoother than our LGHome one and it is a lot faster than everything I've tried before on O3D. Prada is way faster, cause it is already optimized to a screen as big as ours with same resolution while spectrum has all its .apks optimized to 3 different resolutions so they are very very big. Gonna stick with Prada for now, cause what I really wanted was the new LGHome2 to work and I got it to. . No lags on scrolling anymore. . A big problem is that those devices are running Android 2.3.7.

oh right i forgot prada res the same as ours
well...if that's the case...then there's absolutely no need for the spuctrum rom
and about the 2.3.7....isn't pulling the required files of launcher to our phone not related to the the version(.5 vs .7)....and if its related...were exactly the problem you are facing?
i can only image prada's launcher on your v2.5 rom+the 20e software instead of the 21a...which reported have no lag in 1080p(according to abo mara7)and RTL

The 2.3.7 apps just don't run on O3D, this is a problem, so I have to change for old ones, than more problem comes cause some other apps may be related to those I took away, so system start to FC . But it is going good and yes that is my dream ROM, and it will be real soon.

Got telephony fully working. ROM will be released today.

Well, we have a camera with zoom right now, and the quality together with the working Sony bravia engine seems better than before for me. . Took some pictures now and made a movie, quality without flash on a poor light place is much better than our camera app with flash.

But cains kernels has some sort of lag for music and and video playback, if it was me I stick with stock kernel and let others flash the kernel themselves. That's my opinion.

Oh yeah!! I also modded the audio libs to that of 'beats audio' so now you will have amazing sound quality, and in the next update, I am going to edit the rosie.apk and tweak some XML files to make it less curvy, looks ugly
the link is coming soon, my frickin dev-host upload keeps stopping at 99%. and its nearly 4am. Luckily Im on summer vacation (1 more year til I graduate high school wooo!) and I dont have to worry about waking up in the morning. *edit: I would prefer waking up in the morning hahah, I meant like, not at 6am anymore

I think it makes it somewhat more.. 'interactive' itll keep you guys in the loop of whats going on, plus give you a reason to come back to my thread hehe.

This will be a continuation of the FirePower Roms. New Roms have been thoroughly checked and completely reworked. Faster, Better, Slimmer, and more reliable. Both Roms include faster scrolling speed, faster app response and withdraw. Much faster overall experience. Lots of bloat removed that was left in.
Some Major work done all around for a noticeable improvement. All Roms may be used as a base by anyone, feel free to dig in. Make sure you {link} back here to make sure I get proper credit..

NS_Ultra v2 -------No Sense[Sense components [completely] removed. Anything you need that's sense type can be downloaded from the Market. when setting up NS keep clicking next,when phone boots enable go keyboard,search key or text box will bring up go keyboard setup. then set up market,email ect. It might be a small pain but well worth it.

Lol it's okay. I wasn't trying to be rude by the way. Not my style. And lol about the bull!!
Today I plan to do a couple of things with it, slim it down, maybe add a few apps, and get this thing updated. But I am pretty busy with projects (Helping Death-by-soap with a ROM, learning how to compile CM7, as well as managing 2 of my ROMs so I will do the best I can to help you all out.

My point, the positive attitude back on topic, do you know if the ics style lockscreen can be implemented into this, and the option to change the wallpaper in the lockscreen also?

It's the only one to have man. Let me look into the ICS thing. Not too familiar with 5.07 yet, so I will be learning as I build. But that'd probably require some major framework changes..
