Hello,
I would like to know if a software exists on WP7 that activate the Wifi which is based on own location...
On Blackberry plateform, this software exists => SmartWifi !
http://www.s4bb.com/software/smartwifi/
SmartWiFi leverages from the smartphone always being connected to the network carrier. By combining cell tower and WiFi hotspot information WiFi is turned off when not needed and turned back on when needed. Because WiFi is one of the biggest consumers of battery power when searching for WiFi networks this has a tremendous positive effect on your battery life.
i want to make wi-fi direct connection between my wi-fi direct supporting windows platform device and wi-fi direct supporting android device.
does any one tried this ?
Hi,
does anybody of you have problems when connecting to an unsecured free wifi network? Most of the networks require accepting some rules after you have connected (via a browser page).
In KitKat, mobile network was disabled as soon as I connected to a wifi. So I could open my browser and the "usage terms" page of the wifi appeared.
With Lollipop, the mobile network stays enabled as long as the wifi network can't access the internet. So I can't open the web page for accepting the usage terms of the wifi... ---> using an unsecured wifi is only possible when I turn off mobile data before connecting to the wifi...

Hi:
In all my phones with pure android (Nexus 5, Nokia 8) whenever the phone connects to a guest wi-fi that needs authentication via a captive portal (Fonera wi-fi, for example), they keep the operator data connection active until i authenticate on the wi-fi network and get a internet connection.
On the OnePlus 8 i just got recently this does not happen. As soon it connects to the wi-fi network, it disables the operator network data and i loose internet connection until i authenticate on the wi-fi network. Is there any hidden option to correct this behavior?
Regards.
