does that rom require modaco 4.0.0.9 custom recovory because i have the revolutionary recovory n i cant seem to upgrade no matter what i do
4.0.0.9 is the more stable, functional recovery of the 2; I don't think anything has really been tested to work well on 4.0.0.8

You should consult the developer prior to buying him bears, there may be regulations in effect for holding such potentially dangerous wildlife. Plus, I'm not entirely sure bears will accept PayPal.

Ok if u want the recovery 4.0.0.9 its just. Easy as an a .b.c you will need this apps ROOTEXPLORER AND THE BETTER TERMINAL EMULATOR
1 Download Recovery 4.0.0.9 from Modaco's website
2. Using Root Explorer, find the modaco recovery 4.0.0.9 you downloded and COPY
3. Paste the recovery img file into your phone's /data/local folder.
4 Now oppen better terminal emulator
5. In terminal emulator, first type su and then type dd if=/data/local/doubleshot.clockworkmod.4.0.0.9.modaco.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21 and press enter in your keyboard. Makesure you type the codes as it is
6 power down your phone . And reboot in recovery. Now you will have 4.0.0.9
Now you will be able to flash any room I recomed venom 1.1 the update 1.2 its sucks so I recomend u the version 1.1 its cool see ya later alagator

Me and benice are currently working on creating the clockwork recovery. Once we have the recovery built we will post it up here. This is just to track it here. So once we get root hopefully we can have a recovery ready.

So I'm not sure why this is happening lately, however, every time I boot into recovery mode, I get that triangle image with the exclamation point in the middle on my screen and a message ” Installation Aborted ” on the bottom of the screen. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

That has happened to me once before, not sure why it happened though. All you can do really is press volume up and the power button again, hold until you launch the factory recovery screen, should be blue colored font and like only 3 or so options available. One option is to install/load update.zip, thats your CWM recovery image, once you load that you should be good. Its the only way to flash the custom recovey. While we are on the subject, does anyone know how to, or in what folder the recovery image needs to go in so that you can flash directly from rom manager?

If you can hook your phone to your PC and have ADB installed follow the instructions below.
I imagine you can follow them from a terminal emulator on the phone as well, but the / key doesn't work from the hardware keyboard, and on some softkeyboards it's hard to find if it exists at all.

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking for.
All I did was follow these steps and it was no problem.
If you don't have ADB installed, instructions for installing ADB are here.
I'm pretty new at dealing with this phone, but if you post step by step what you're doing and what step the process breaks down at (i.e. where are you getting unexpected results) I'll try to help you.
I actually got out working again using the method described by unclespoon. I had to use terminal emulator and the copy/transfer the recovery image that way. I'm now back on MoDaco v4.0.0.9 Super excited and about to flash another ROM. I have officially reached flash junkie status.lol

Here are some themes for 4EXT Recovery Touch that I threw together. Flash through recovery. To minimize confusion, you'll need to flash these as a .zip in Recovery. Don't try to flash them through "Themes and More" in 4EXT Recovery Updater, it won't work. You can flash them through the updater, but you need to choose "Recovery -> Install zip from sdcard". It looks like you're trying to flash from the updater? Try booting to recovery and flashing there. I think I flashed mine from the updater..I don't remember. Let me try again
edit: you can flash it from updater...just flash the zip like a normal mod from sd (Recovery - install zip from sd), rather than the 'install themes' section of the updater

This is a port of moKeeOS. I will be doing the usual and posting
screenies in post #3 and Download in post #2.
This rom will have a similar poll as does joyOS.
For the mean time enjoy. This rom has a lot of cool features as well as some from CM.
The only reason I'm releasing this is because I want users to have a bunch of variety
in what rom they want to run and to keep development going so we don't lose users
and of course if you like the work buy me a monster

First Method:
Use CM7 installation intructions.
Second Method:
1 .Download the following:
efs-backup link : efs-backup
efs-restore link : efs-restore
moKee-mtd build 1 rom *check md5 posted below download link*
2. Place those three files in root of your sd card
3. Backup data with Titanium Backup or whatever app you use (optional)
4. Reboot to recovery
5. Do a Nandroid Backup
6a. Mount System (thx to htaak)
6b. Flash EFS-Backup
7. Backup sd card to your computer ( you can do this by going to mounts and storage
and mount USB storage, this way you wont leave recovery and the efs backup is in there too)
8. Flash miui-Revenge-mtd (it will start then reboot itself into blue cwm)
9. Go to Mounts and Storage
10. Format System
11. Mount System
12. Go back to main menu
13. Wipe data/factory reset
14. Go into Install zip from sdcard
15. Choose zip from sdcard
16. Flash efs-restore
17. Flash miUI-Revenge-mtd
18. Reboot.
19. Let it sit for 10 mins or so.
20. Enjoy.

Ok I was running a BML rom.... converted to MTD. I want to restore apps with Go Backup but telling me no SD card. Not showing in Storage settings either.

I used unpack-bootimg.pl (I forget where that came from) to unpack an existing CWM Touch recovery.img from the Nexus S 4G
Then, I unpacked an existing boot.img from our device using zman0900s tools here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405284
Then, I added the etc/recovery.fstab and the default.prop from the epic to the nexus s 4g's recovery img.
Then, I repacked using a modified tool I made based on nubecoder's boot.img repack tools: https://github.com/nubecoder/create_boot.img
Then, I added the newly made ramdisk-recovery.img to Dees_Troy's TWRP zip.
Instructions:
Just flash this zip in any MTD recovery: http://d-h.st/Wfq and enjoy the new recovery after you go to advanced>reboot recovery
Unfortunately, due to the way our boot.imgs are packed, this recovery will be replaced when you install a new kernel or ROM, but the recovery replacement does not occur until you reboot recovery, so all you have to do is flash whatever you were flashing, then flash the CWM Touch zip and then recovery will stay.
On stock touchwiz ROMs, flash this modified version of Shadow Kernel that includes the recovery

There are probably other ways to build the recovery, but none of them worked for me... not Koush's Builder and not building from source
Anyone can add this recovery to their kernel by extracting a boot.img using zman0900s tool, then adding my initramfs_cwm folder in the build script zip at the beginning of my post, then repack using nubecoder's tool.

Took an hour to redo my phone. At theater to see paranormal activity 4. Will re flash when I get home. I don't know why it soft bricked. I really want cwm touch. All I did was flah the zip. No rom update or anything else. But all the positive comments from everyone else gives me hope. But just in case I will re download in case it was a bad dl.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh... I was waiting too long for this "touch", then I hopped onto TWRP days ago AND deleted ALL but one CWM backup... and here's the long-awaited touch but aww... Since TWRP everything's a hell lot easier but lost that sense of geek...
PLUS: Would like to report that TWRP does not work with "Stock FC09 Prerooted MTD", stuck at the Samsung logo too. If same phenomenon here, I guess it's that InjectTWRP won't work with stock kernels (CM and other kernels based on CM are all fine) ... @xboxfanj interested in the issue?

Yeah thats the problem. You need to be on an mtd rom. So, Odin stock then cwm, then flash any cm rom, then flash this cwm.
