well this is my first time going to experience darkslide. but base on how he operates making sure to completely test and not release rc. I like that a clean build bugless. and plus alot of people on here seem to rave about him that is a good sign.

Yea darkslide was the best back in the day. thats the biggest thing I missed from my x. This is going to make me giggle like a school girl upon release

I am also now waiting on this ROM. I've tried every ROM here. Though I like the Gummy. I want GB and the GB doesn't have toolbox and is still RC. Others are not to my liking. I've found something wrong or I don't like in everyone. So I've settled with EP1W Stock till this ROM is released. Seen some screen shots, and looks nice and what I've read so far looks great.

Moving to General

I have never experienced Darkslide as I came from a D2G. What are some things that set this rom apart compared to Gummy/Humble and Eclipse?

There are no TouchWiz 4 ROMs available for any phones besides the Galaxy S 2. The best you can get is the SGS2 lockscreen, launcher, and theme, which have been ported from the SGS2. Also, no ROM is based on AOSP yet, regardless of what the ROM information post says. All ROMs currently available (except for the CM7 builds jt1134 posts) are TouchWiz 3 based as that is all we have available.

I would love for you to find me a ROM without bugs. All ROMs have bugs, including the builds on the Nexus phones. EP1W likely also has its own set of bugs with it. Regardless of how big/small those bugs are, they will still be there.

Darkslide kicks butt.......but there is more.

Well, the dev makes fast, solid, stable roms no matter what phone. I mean, the difference on the X that I had was night and day from every other rom. I never was able to get cm7, or rather I got rid of my x before cm7 was ready, but cm7 may be the only rival. Also, he themes things around Pink Floyd a bit, thus DarkSlide, like dark side of the moon, and for me, you can't beat Pink Floyd. It doesn't make the rom work better, but in my mindgrapes it does. When it comes out, flash it. It will be totally worth it.

FYI: there is no better way to infuriate developers than asking for ETAs. Just give people time -- it'll almost certainly be a while before we see a (fully-functioning) AOSP or AOSP-derived ROM.

Gummycharged VS Humble

Which rom is better for those that have run them both? Pros and cons for each?

Gummy has more options, Humble is more stable.
I prefer Humble, but YMMV.

then put a section in the faq on the subject, noobs like me have no idea, even just a link to a good thread on the subject in there would be helpful, not being a jerk here, just saying is all..... =-)
Back in EE4, Humble was better in my opinion, and I have been using Humble in EP1W and now EP3. But I do like the launch/theme from Gummy A LOT!! Kinda look like TW but lighter. I switched back to Gummy EP1W for that reason. Both of them are smooth and stable.

I love Humble and think the theme is great. Only problem is battery life for me. Seem no matter what I run it sucks.
I switched to humble 4.22 from GC 2.0 due to many FC's and so far 4.22 has been great for me, except for battery life.

I have the utmost respect for the developers. I understand that this isn't a popular phone, so any new rom is a blessing.
I had a feeling those guys would be more willing to come back once a finalized version of GB was released. It had to be frustrating when we were getting leaks every couple of weeks or so to try to stay current.
I welcome any new ROMs, but I heard talks that Kejar was going to work with the CM team to port CM7.. What happened to that =[ ?
I'm mainly interested in the fact that Wiimote apps work on CM7

id imagine liberty for the charge will just be updated gummy stuff because a lot of what is in liberty is for moto phones...will there be new stuff? sure...but it wont be identical

Thanks. I haven't followed what's been going on with Liberty and am still using Gummy FE. I think my phone runs great and I really like Voodoo Sound while playing Pandora in the car. I don't want to upgrade to GB until IMoseyOn has a nicely developed GB kernel, based on source. After that, the ROMs will fall in line. That's my thought at least.
Since I'm happy with Gummy FE, I assume that Liberty will be my go-to ROM. Having said that, I have no experience with Humble or Infinity, but I've heard good things about both. In the end, I use DroidBlaze's MinimalGummy theme and really like it. I'll probably wind up on Liberty since he's only been creating themes for Gummy and hasn't themed for Humble or Infinity (to my knowledge).

Blur is the style of framework Motorola used for their phone. As far as I know. Liberty would be sweet. It was great on the X.

This seems a bit off-topic from the OP, but thank you for the kind words (however exaggerated they may be). I really didn't do much - it's just stock with a few tweaks, and a great theme (IMHO) by stranula.
Even though i have not tried your rom yet i will try it soon and get back to you on what i think. More devs are always welcome in the charge community and i hear your rom is the rom of choice for alot of people

Humble is not a battery sipping ROM, it's been said time and time again that roms make no difference in battery life. Just flash tweak stock and get rid of that garbage.

Ill take anything with data about now but Liquid and Twisted are my Rom's of choice when they come out.
twisted is my choice, he keeps it updated about everyday.
The good news is that it seems there is a rom with working data coming soon.
The 'bad' news is that it seems to be liquids rom.
Hopefully twisted can borrow it since his version works best for my phone.
if they sort the data out does that mean we hopefully will get ICS , miuiV4 and oakp(kang one protekk built) working possibly?
I hope twisted gdts it. I personally cant afford to buy(donate) just for the opprotunity to use a rom. With the wife out of work, supporting 2 kids, and the economy, every penny i already earn is accounted for. Things are very hard for us right now.

agreed. everybody has an opinion. If a dev cant take a shot, then they dont need to be deving. I personally have been back on the OG Rom rooted and deodexed for a few months now. I just got tired of ROMs with stuff not working.
Props to all the devs for what they do, but partially working ROMs just dont cut it for me. So I have been back on the OG rom for a few months now and very glad I did.

I used OMFGB for a long time. Recently though, I've changed to Thundershed and couldn't be happier. A lot of the same stuff, but with some newer enhancements and updates (OMFGB, for example, doesn't even have the locations fix built in as it hasn't been updated in...well, this year, maybe).
