on my old xperia x10 i was use x10 flasher and install a stock rom without any problem is there any thing like that in htc desire HD

Pull the battery out, leave it out for a few seconds. Pop it back in, hold Volume Down while pressing Power button and it'll boot to bootloader, from there, you can boot to recovery.
And you're right, this isn't the right section

thanks for the replay
i tried what did you say
and i have the bootloader screen but when i click to recovery it go back to the same screen htc first screen and stick on it

Sounds like your recovery somehow got corrupted. If you have ENG S-OFF (Radio S-OFF is not enough), you can flash recovery via fastboot.
Here's a link to ClockWorkMod recovery, where you can download a nice little pack with recovery and an executable .bat file that will do the manual work for you, for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003723

With, htcdev unlock you have to flash the kernel with fastboot, it can't be made with recovery unfortunately.
Just copy the boot.img of the cyanogen zip you downloaded flash the ROM from recovery and after that flash the boot.img with fastboot.
Swyped from my Desire S
Ok, i put the boot.iso from cm_saga_full-59.zip to root of sdcard, flash recovery, and i put in fastboot menu, connect cable, run cmd, get to android folder where i have adb, fastboot etc etc etc..

Download the correct RUU file for your device. Boot your device into Hboot/boatloader, connect your device to your computer via USB cable. Find the RUU, right click the .exe and select run as administrator. Follow the on screen instructions. Wait until your device reboots to the lock screen and then unplug your device.
This will put you back to complete stock, but you will have a usable device. You can always start over and try again. You should remain HTC Dev unlocked though.

[Q] Odd CWM bootloop

Hey guys, I installed CWM on my buddies HTC one S (ville) and I keep getting a weird problem with CWM. I have successfully flashed CM10 multiple times and have made only one back up. Every time his phone dies and he plugs it in and tries to power it on it boots straight to recovery and after you press reboot phone it boots right back to recovery again and again... The only way it fixes itself is when you restore the back up and then it sets him back to that date. I'm wondering if this is a problem with CWM or something else... I'm new to HTC devices because I have always been on the Galaxy line from Samsung so some of this is a little new to me...
Thanks in advance!!
This is a known glitch with CWM. If you plug it in when its off and try to turn it on, it'll automatically Boot into CWM Recovery. I prefer TWRP personally, had too many problems with CWM and getting into the same exact pain-in-the-neck Bootloop as you're referring to.
As far as I am aware, there isn't a way to get out of the CWM Bootloop unless you just let the phone run out of Battery, get into the Bootloader (Which is somewhat of a challenge with the CWM Bootloop), and then flash a different Recovery from Fastboot. Correct me if i'm wrong on there not being any other way around this.
It's happened to me once, I flashed the.stock boot.img and it worked fine.after that. Not sure if its a fix but it got me outta of it.

Thanks guys I think I'll try TWRP but just to check does CM10 work with TWRP and if so how do I flash a new recovery?
yes cm10 worx with twrp. For flashing recovery, download d appropriate recovery.img for ur device. place this in the fastboot folder or the platform-tools folder.
now, boot into bootloader and enter fastboot then connect phone to PC , it should say fastboot USB .
Now open a command window and use this command---
fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img.

Cyanogenmod 10 does indeed work with TWRP as far as I know. Along with mihirengg19's Reply above, there is also an Alternative way to flashing a new Recovery, and that is to use the HTC One S All-In-One Toolkit. Its the easiest/safest way, if you don't know what you're doing.
yes toolkit is great but manually is best...

[Q] [HELP] Loop + No access to Recovery

That's my first post here in the One S forum and, unfortunately, not a happy one.
I used to have fun with modding a long time ago, with the HTC Desire, but when I bought the One S, I didn't even root it, until yesterday.
To unlock the bootloader and install the TWRP recovery I used the All-in-One toolkit; then I installed a MIUI v5 porting and updated to the latest version.
Not satisfied with it, this morning I decided to try Sense 5 with TrickDroid 10.3.2: I did a TWRP backup, wiped the necessary and installed the zip.
Now the phone is in an infinite loop.. that would be ok, but I can't get to fastboot or recovery.
The problem is that even before I wasn't able to get to fastboot with the button combo (even if I disabled fastboot in MIUI settings), and to access the recovery I used the command provided in the All-in-One toolkit.
I'm not able to use the All-in-One toolkit since the device can't be found while turning on.
So now I'm here with my phone vibrating every 30 seconds or so and that's a bit frustrating...
Do any of you know what to do?
If you need any further information just ask, and sorry for my English, I hope everything is clear.
Thank you in advance
Francesco
P.S.: It is the S4 version.

Can you pls give me some advise or how I can fix this problem? Many thanks!:good:

That is not a brick lol
That warning logo isn't a big deal. Everyone who has unlocked their bootloader gets it. And seems like you have erased your recovery by selecting "Factory Reset".
1. Download All-In-One Tool kit for HTC One S from the Development forum.
2. Flash a custom recovery. TWRP recommended.
3. Boot into recovery, mount sd card, copy your rom.
4. Flash your ROM.
5. Boot into fastboot
6. flash boot.img
7. Restart :good:

Did you try to remove the SIM card? Mine was stuck in bootloop and only way it worked for me was to remove SIM card, press power button for 10 or more seconds and it eventually booted into bootloader. hope it work for you...

[Q] Inspire 4G Need help flashing rom with S-ON

Hello, I've recently completed the Bootloader unlocking method with Easy Ace Root Tool. Bootloader is unlocked and SHIP S-ON, I need to flash a rom. These roms require S-OFF and have no method to flash them with only an unlocked bootloader and S-ON.
So let me get this straight, us 'low level' and unexperienced users are left without any method to gain S-OFF privileges without following the vague guide provided at tau(dot)shadowchild(dot)nl/attn1/?p=411 Yeah... I can't.
Trying to find alternate methods I have only gone in circles and keep running into old how-to guides. The more I read the more confused I become. I hope someone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Ninjewbag
You don't need S-Off. Flash a ROM in recovery, then flash the ROM zip's boot.img in fastboot.

Good deal, thanks for the reply!
I put the ROM Android Revolution HD 9.0 on the root of my SD card, booted in recovery mode and chose the recovery option, I got the red exclamation mark icon so I pressed VOL up + power button which didn't work so I pulled the battery. I tried all above steps again but this time I was able to successfully get into "Android system recovery <3e> with VOL up + power button. With 4 options:
Reboot system now
Apply update from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
I chose the option to wipe all data, said it could not find Efolder name)'s and "data wipe completed successfully".
Then I wiped cache, then chose the option to apply update from sdcard, it said "Invalid operation" then "success rebooting by reason 00" and proceeded to reboot by itself.
Phone factory reset, I rebooted into recovery again with the same red exclamation mark error. Pressed Vol up + power and back into "Android system recovery". At the bottom in yellow text it says "E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command". I tried another "update from SD card" and recieved error: "success rebooting by reason 00" and reboots.
I don't have a nandroid backup as I read I needed Root to make one, but the phone still works fine as far as I can tell. I don't have a working simcard in it though.
Also from what I've read my eMMC chip may be fried so it looks like I'm retiring early. I'll keep an eye on this thread among others with the same problems.
Cheers,
Ninjewbag
Volume + and power brings you to the factory recovery; you need to use vol - have you flashed a different recovery? If not, flash 4ext recovery through fast boot and try again

Thank you for the info! No luck finding the 4ext .IMG file anywhere yet, they're all dead links. I have the 4ext recovery.APK but that doesn't do me any good since I don't have root. Still looking and thanks again.

You can install the app and then open the app and use it to manually download the recovery zip which you can flash or copy it to your pc and extract the recovery.img file and flash with fastboot. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself wiht the adb and fastboot utils as they come in handy.

Thanks for the reply but as for installing the 4ext free updater version, it wasn't on the market so I used android injector to place and install that APK. None of the options worked as they all give the same error "it seems your phone is not rooted, this option will not function" etc.

Nice! Wasn't expecting to find the 4ext recovery within the adbfastboot.zip. With that I was able to move on, create a nandroid and successfully install a custom rom, thanks! Was a little scared after rebooting, it took around 5 minutes to load past the "quietly brilliant" screen but is working fine now nonetheless.
