Wow is radio shack still offering this special? Do you need a longer than 1 year contract?
got mine new from amazon uk, £375 but it fluctuates quite a lot
I can't find it as free @ Radioshack, but Target's got it for 100$ w/ a 2 year contract. Online and in store for this week it seems.

No idea. Its only tmobile phones. I live in Baltimore, MD and its a special at more than one shack here. I think tmobile is tryna reel in a bunch of customers before the possible merger. I saw it today so they should still be doing it. You are definitely going to need a two year contract. The offer is in-store only. Not online.
panamoz.com has it for £345, delivery to the UK is £9.99, only thing is because they are based in Hong Kong it could be the Asian version you get. Although you can still select english language on the handset so its not such a big problem.
Cheapest I can find the european version is £399 at amazon currently.
Cheers
Sadly in lebanon the HTC agent is selling it at more than 800$, he says that its more expensive cz of the 1 year limited warranty ,is this true?? i dont think so , i tried contacting HTC to file a complaint but with no luck till now , their agent is adding 100$ to 300$ on each htc phone , i cant believe how htc is letting this happen.
600 euros ( $822) here in Greece without contract!!!
Thats what im talking about!! how can htc let their agents take advantage of its possible customers like that!! unacceptable

I currently live in the US, and I'm about to go back to Korea for my mandatory military service. I want to buy a Nexus S in the states and take it to Korea, because it's a little bit more cheaper here. I saw a post here saying that the i9020T from T-mobile is the same as SHW-M200K, SHW-M200S from Korea. So if I buy the i9020T here would It work in Korea?

Thanks for checking it out. I'm going to bestbuy this weekend to get the T-mobile version then. One last question - is the price of nexus s rapidly dropping everywhere except bestbuy? if so then should I look for a different place to buy it? Thanks again.
If you're gonna buy it outright, its cheaper to buy online at different websites than from best buy. BB has it for 529.99 + tax. I found some for 459.99 at other sites. Keep in mind that bc some of these sites aren't physical stores, you won't have to pay for tax. Also a lot of them have free shipping and online coupons if you look for them.

I plan to buy the Sensation out right in the next few weeks and sell my G2x to make up for some of the cost and make the purchase smaller.
I have two routes.
Get this Sensation from Expansys, and enjoy 100% what HTC intended with Sense, with no bloat. Along with no Carrier branding. I wouldn't have to pay taxes. A potential to get an S-Off version as well. If I go this route I will make this the first phone I add to my collection of phones.
Or
Go in store and purchase it out right and have bloat and carrier branding, but be required to pay taxes. If I go this route I will sell this phone once the next big thing hits T-Mobile in order to reduce overall price for new phone.
I live in Nevada and taxes are usually pretty high and make the purchase price more. What are some thoughts on this?

Well hombre,
the one from expansys isn't 4G compatible, where as the tmo branded one is. If that's not a deal breaker than throw the S-Off dice and get the unbranded one.
Really? The unbranded Sensation doesn't have HSPA+ capability?

Check your own link man, I clicked it and read the specs.
All I saw was band compatibility and it didn't say much else other than speeds it can download and upload. I saw on GSM Arena and both have the same network compatibility (HSDPA) which leads me to believe that GSM Arena needs to update its info. Both have same download and upload which leads me to believe that 14.4mbps download is accurate. Either way, its still going to download from the network fast.
From the tech data
"Network5 HSPA/WCDMA: Europe/Asia/T-Mobile US: 900/AWS/2100 MHz Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz"
Go through customer care or radio shack. My final price was 600$ at the T-mobile store
Unbranded it is then lol. I shoulda went with you when you got it kyle lol.
I bought mine outright instore. £470 simfree from carphonewarehouse
I ordered mine off the T-Mobile website for a final price of $600

Agreed. I love this phone, but the SGSII simply has it beat in every single aspect (besides the qHD of course).
I cant spend that much for a phone. I just cant, the amount I would make back from selling the G2x wouldn't be much to dent the total cost.
I would just get one locally, some people are selling some identity theft-obtained ones or using their upgrades to make some cash.. and they're going for OK amounts of cash.
The Sensation 4G has better reception due to the extra antenna for Receive Diversity
Nah I want a recipt and proof of purchase security and returnability. G2x was boughr off hand and I could have returned for buyers remorse but I had to ship to original owner, long story short I want security.
just putting in my 2 cents...thumbs up for purchasing outright...i've been on that cycle for years and get brand new phones every year to 14 months for half price but selling my previous handset
i bought the sensation last week brand new (unlocked, unbranded, unbloated) for AUD $499, and sold my HTC Desire for $300 (because again it was unlocked, unbranded, etc)...$200 for a Sensation is a sweet deal to me
i usually buy from Hong Kong or UK online
i got the Sensation here - ordered on sunday, arrived by fedex on thursday

meh...i rooted my desire only so i can have gingerbread...now that i have it native, what am i missing out on by not having root? unlocked phone don't have any features disabled
i can't take screenshots and i can't use titanium...that's the only difference for me
I know you guys are talking about buying it outright but I just had to share my experience.... I went to the T-Mobile store and got them to price match Walmart's price of 148.88 and he told me to bring in proof and he would give me back the difference, in the meantime I went ahead with a normal upgrade of 249.99 with the mail in rebate of $50 I brought the proof in the next day and was credited back $101 and still got my rebate card back of $50 making my total purchase of the phone $98.88 with a 2 year contract of course...
I tried to buy it from bell but they dont ship to US.
Is there an alternative place I can order this phone from?

Last time I checked, I didnt see any postings.
It is kinda annoying to wait until somebody post one up to purchase one.
Negri Electronics or GSM Nation have it unlocked with the new codes released yesterday. 621 CAD(549.99 plus the crazy taxation that funds their universal healthcare) is roughly around 637 USD as of today. From my experience, you can roughly get it for 640 something after googling coupon codes and google checkout with Negri. In a way it's cheaper since you don't have to pay for the unlock code. Your next best option would be to visit our friendly neighbors to the North and buy from a Bell store, then try to get a tax refund at the border. However unless you live near the US border, I'm pretty sure, traveling to Canada would offset any savings you could get by buying in person.

Wow $640 is way too much for that phone. I love and everything but that price is pretty absurd.
It's a very strange sensation (pun intended) reading about americans coming up North to buy something up here.
It's always the other way around. Not available in canada, no shipping to Canada, this COMEDY CENTRAL video is not available for you peasants.
Canadians going down to the states to avoid tax, buy cheaper products, etc. I could go on and on.
Why can't americans buy it from their own stores down there, I thought it was out there earlier than Bell released it up here?

Haha, it's opposite land. Canada has been improving in getting cellphones in a timely manner, especially with the XPERIA series. The iPhone 4 came unlocked here, Nexus S, etc...
Anyways, you'd be correct, the Americans got the Sensation before we did but they got the 1700mhz version for T-Mobile. This is the same frequencies that Wind and Mobilicity use here. Unfortunately, Rogers/Bell/Telus (at AT&T in the States) doesn't operate at 1700mhz and instead operate on 850mhz/1900mhz, which is what the Bell Sensation was released at.

Lucky you dont live in Australia because its AUS$792 (US$852) here. Australia! land of the almighty ripoff!!!
I have looked everywhere (Expansys, Popular Electronics, eBay) for the HTC Sensation (Bell Canada model so I can get 3G in USA) but only Negri has it on back order.. any other leads for me?
thanks!
Australia has 1 carrier who uses the 850mhz band (Telstra), so you can get 'usa' capable handsets here

if you want the bell canada one, there's a few major resellers here that may ship out of country, I have no idea if they will... Bell won't even sell to a non-subscriber if you show up at their door knocking.
Try wireless wave or T-Booth
or any of the electronics stores we have here... eg: the source, Futureshop, or Bestbuy.
Someone may have a web special and ship overseas. who knows?
did you get one yet? I'm looking for one too.

The Bell version uses the bandwidth compatible with AT&T 4G data. the Tmobile will only support Edge when using AT&T.

Well i live in lebanon , im seeing the sensation online being sold for between 550$ and 650$ , while in lebanon the official htc agent is selling it for around 800$ , while other shops are selling it for 550$ and 580$ , so my question is are the cheap prices are there for a reason? should i be scared? or should i buy it for 800$?

Cheap is good. The phone is too new to be all f-ed up.
Sent from my Sensation 4G, that is finally running CM7, using Tapatalk.
If you are giving prices in US dollars, then the $800 one is the one to be worried about. The phone does not cost $800. $500 to $600 American is on point.
go for cheap one.
I think 800$ is too much. If you don't trust the 550$ shop, you can talk with people who already bought something there - just find some discussion, forum etc.
Sounds like you are in a similar situation to us here in new Zealand. If I buy from a carrier this phone is quite a bit more expensive than using the parallel importers.
I've always gone parallel though and haven't had a faulty product yet.

You have two issues:
1- Warranty: HTC's warranty is region specific. So ig you buy it online from UK, you have to send it to HTC in UK (or Europe maybe) for repair. If you buy from local agent, you send it to him for repair.
2- Arabic language: The devices sold in Middle Esat have Arabic support. To make sure, the outside box of the phone will have specifications written in Arabic. This issue can be solved by unlocking the bootloader, Super CID (or Arabic CID) & flashing the official Arabic ROM or by using custom ROMs & then flashing Arabic files.
So its upto you.
I personaly would usualy buy from online, but when I baught my Sensation, I baught it in from Dubai (Arabic version) because it was not yet released in Europe except through Vodafone. Even when it was released, the first couple of weeks it was the same price as buying it here (with shipping added).
I live in Lebanon and bought it for $550. If you're reffering to that guy that has a facebook page and sells many brands of smartphones, then yes i bought it from him. It has the wifi deathgrip issue though. I didn't encounter any screen issues or dust under the screen.
