So yeah, Firstly, i tried cyanogen mod on Galaxy fit, now i need your help to gather all the things that are working, and things that aren't and make a list of them, as well as any files/patches/bugfixes available.
Link me and i'll keep updating the thread.
Things that are working:
- Themes (apply a theme and reboot to get it to work)
- DSP manager
- Soft Keys
- Bluetooth
- Wireless (the networks won't show in a popup but will show through wifi settings )
- Video PlayBack
- LCD density
- Themes
- Almost everything?
Things that are NOT working:
- some videos in the gallery (mostly 360p mp4 videos downloaded from youtube) codec relate i think. [edit] Now Working!
- Camera [edit] Now Working!
- Sound Plays through Top speaker when the headphone is plugged in.
- Overclocking
-Wifi/USB tethering Don't Work
- Please Tell me so i can list them
Bug Fixes Go Here (Please confirm if they work!)
- Wifi Works, Long Press the wifi button after turning it on and you'll see all available networks (The Network List will NOT popup like in the stock ROM) :3
- Bluetooth Works well (But not on first boot, just reboot once and all is good :3)
- You Can Use Fx File Explorer if you don't like the normal file explorer (found here https://market.android.com/details?id=nextapp.fx)
- Themes : Use an LDPI theme and reboot to get it to work

I dont think FM's a big issue ...Main problem is the Video Codecs !!!
Camera app is working for me..I guess its a third party camera app that had came preinstalled with cm7..I'm using the cm rom which is actually ported for galaxy fit

1st camera app that is working came pre installed with cm7 2nd those kernels didn't worked Cox they were actually ported for galaxy mini rom to be flashed with cwm so they didn't worked

I tried flashing cwm using the file here http://www.mediafire.com/?0nhu0rnqxcd40wd and the camera app would hang on each try? and of course the kernels don't work

theme chooser dosnt work with many themes notification bar force close
LCD density dosnt work (its must needed my fevrt app)
file manager need to be update it suck
contacts need to be update no grouping

dude wait and use and then watch
u will get same problems
youtube only audio works . Needs codecs for videos.
The attached zip file ( Includes the necessary video codecs) works for Cyanogen 7.1 for Galaxy Mini. It is flashed from CWM.
May be someone here modify it to work for Cyanogen 7.1 for Galaxy Fit and make an update.zip file to work from recovery in Fit
1- Mic Volume is tooooooo low.... any help plz... no one hears me after installing this rom :'(

CYANOGENMOD 7.1 FOR FIT.....
I am NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE FROM THIS UPDATE....(though its working in FIT)
Follow the steps perfectly... Coz after boot flash phone wil not boot into stock GB.... It can only boot CM.....
UPDATE: Google apps included... gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip This wil install all google apps like market, etc... to ur phone. Just copy it to ur card and install in recovery.... DONE

Instructions: 1.Download the file 1a. Extract it somewhere on up pc. 2.Copy CyanogenMod-7 .1.0-RC0-S5670-063011.zip to ur sdcard. 2a. Reboot into Download mode. 2.Flash boot.tar via odin[one package mode] Note:[use ur firmware's OPS file in the first selection(OPS) and boot.tar in the last selection(One package] 3.Boot into recovery 4.first factory reset.(clear all data is required. Else CM7.1 wont boot) 5.select the copied file in "apply update from sdcard" section. 6.wait untill its finished.... 7. and u r done.....
And those who want to go back to stock GB.... U have to first flash KPI(which formats and flashes the device which is needed) then can flash KPL..... Happy FLASHING.....
Known bugsIf u find any more bugs then mention them here) 1.Bug in audio jack(tj_style mentioned it) 2.FMRadio not working(i didnt tested it but tj_style mentioned it)

USB tethering can be fixed by installing wired tether from market.wifi working too.its not necessary to use dsp manager so audio Jack works perfectly..camera working for me maybe u r lucky too and videos can also be played through apps like mono player and qq player so what u say now...

dsp manager is must needed bcz samsung didnt provide good sound
and video playback is slow it can not b smooth with any playr frm market
Uninstall dsp manager to fix audio and install qqplayer to fix video that's it

hmmm... WOW
Unable to boot..the original cm7.1 for galaxy mini boots fine in my phone but that one has problem with screen orientation and is very buggy..but this one is not booting at all! I'm sure I have followed all steps correctly, still it gets stuck at galaxy fit logo (the one before bootanimation)
I did data and cache reset in recovery but no use..it won't boot in my phone
Any help??

Hi raj3534 thanks for replying!..I found my problem. Actually I was using cwm recovery instead of original recovery which formats with ext4 partition instead of rfs this rom supports (I guess??)
Anyway it's working now! And camera & headfone work fine!.. no problem

no you don't need to extract the files
just put the zip an sd card
and install it with CWM
Apart from the CPU H.264 test, the other quadrant test can be done.
After the removal of the unnecessary system apps.
The maximum free ram is 295MB out of 486MB
EXT4 is supported

And the themes are not working, it doesn't change even after applying.
EDIT: Found the fix for the themes. Just create a "theme" folder under data/system using root explorer. As for the keyboard issue, I just installed a keyboard app from my sdcard and use that.

i forgort that the reason it does not create that is the updater script i had to remove it kept saying writing to ~/data and it would fail

Add a keyboard to the new version whenever you update and take one of the launchers out. Other than that, I love it.
Torch FCs constantly, if you use the toggle for it, it breaks lockscreen due to constant FC and flashlight lockscreen.

everything seems to work fine... just a few things that are buggy
camera works but front face cam picture is upside down and don't fill the entire screen
sometimes when I try to use setting of some apps i can't see the words because it clashes with the dark background
other than that this is a solid rom Good Job :good:

sometimes when I try to use setting of some apps i can't see the words because it clashes with the dark background

Happy to do the build.prop edit .. but are there any undesirable side-effects from changing to GNex? such as some apps not working, play-store access changes etc??

Nope no errors till now ... neither in app store neither on any application...

Anyone else have this replace their existing camera and gallery, even though Gallery2.apk is still in system/app along side the new one? Folks at android central stated it resulted in both apps appearing in the drawer?

They have a fully flashable and patched zip .. no need for build.prop editing on non-Nexus devices
el_smurfo I just deleted my Galery2.apk as it does cause both to show in the apps menu!

Yes, but I want my Gallery2 to work, as the CM10 camera has many enhancements this camera is missing.
BTW, newest patched camera has working sphere without build prop mods but it does get pretty toasty while in use.
EDIT: As people have stated in the AP thread, video doesn't seem to work for me.
EDIT 2: Take that back. Video works after setting to 1080P.

1. What do you mean? You have no gallery at all?
2. If you didn't make a backup first, use the front facing camera to take a shot of the only one you have to blame.

Is for me, but I find the stock camera over saturated. It's definitely not as fast though.

Correctly said ... when I take a pic with stock camera.. n zoom it to max... it will show red dots and blurriness...
But with this camera.. its siicckkk.. no matter u zoom...nothing appears except a nice sexy looking pic

I did make a back up... But after flashing I didn't have anything in my gallery after restoring everything is back

The script doesn't work, I tried a few times but it turns out not copying the files into the system folder.
So, I manually put in all the files and configure all the permission and owner.
The camera works, and so the photosphere but the photosphere is in a really slow performance.
May be our phone can't handle it.
In the camera mode, I can't open the gallery as the one in ur video. Not sure if I missed anything.
Yep flashing didnt work had to manually replace the files.

Sorry guys, its night time at my place I will fix it and then post again tomorrow.
For some strange reasons gallery edit and crop force close whenever i tried cropping or saving an edited picture. Same problem when I flashed with the original 4.2 camera. It worked for the first time and started to FC after that.

Download camerav2.zip - 8.77 MB. It should work.
After install you will find 2 camera icons in you app drawer.
after instal camerav2 doesnt work. camera icon still the old one.
im using restruction remix jb.

Try pushing them manually to their respective folders and change permission to rw--r--r and reboot.
It worked that way but the only problem was the one i mentioned few posts earlier...

Its working for me, Old Gapps will remove at time of Flash and new 4.2 gapps will Flash on it
