[Q] No sound - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I don't know why but somehow all of the sounds on my Motorola Wi-Fi disappeared. Is there some settings somewhere where all sounds shutting down after (10PM ) as example?
Please, help me, guys? I've bought this device only week ago.
Thank you!

Did you happen to accept the HTK75D update? That seems to have basically removed my lock-screen and keyboard sounds (or made them inaudible even in a quiet room)

I have the same problem and yes I did accept the update and it failed and everything is whisper quiet. Fix?
Thanks,
Adam

I also flashed the mod pack 3 for tiamat and re flashed tiamat without wiping and nothing I think I might have to wipe but I would like to avoid it.
Thanks,
Adam

No Service with Valid SIM

Hi all,
Since this afternoon, I get no signal at all, no lte, nor 3g or even edge...
I was using stock 4.4.4 with custom kernel, I've tried to revert to a stock kernel and I've also tried last Android L preview in order to change the modem.
But for now, nothing work...
SIM works well in another phone, I also tried another SIM in the nexus 5 without success...
Please help, I'm out of ideas...
Check the APN settings in mobile settings, make sure they are correct for your carrier.
Google the settings. ?

Oh, no calls or texts either? You should flash fresh stock with this tutorial. You should have signal bars, even with no data.

If it's still not working, must be Sim card, carrier or hardware issue.
Sounds like the antenna in the phone came unplugged. Had that happen on a note 2

[Q] Any D801 users still using the 4.4.4 Mahdi Rom?

Used this rom forever until recently flashing some new Lollipop roms to play around with. Ended up not really liking the new roms, and wanted to restore back to Mahdi. Unfortunately, I was a complete idiot and didn't make a backup. The Mahdi thread is cclosed, and the downloads no longer work. Anyone out there able to help me out? Thank you!
You cannot flash because you are now on lollipop baseband and boot loader. Try kdz back to 20 g...... May have to go back further than that.... As far as download links i don't know i have the required files backed up on my computer

Thanks for the reply. I'm now back on 20g, so if someone still has the downloads on their cpu (rom and d801 patch) then I'd be good to go.

When I'm trying to connect my Galaxy s7 edge with Moonlight to Nvidia Experience, it says "Incorrect PIN" even though it's the right PIN? I've tried to uninstall both apps, but it didn't help. What do I do?

In the meantime, I got it to work by downgrading Experience to 2.10.
Edit: Experience just auto updates back to 2.11 and breaks itself...
+1 on reverting to GFE 2.10. Works flawlessly with that. Just uninstall GFE 2.11 and install 2.10. There must be a way to stop the auto-update.
I released Moonlight Android v4.5.6 which fixes this error.

Any Freetel Kiwami owners able to get TWRP?

Thinking of buying the phone but I want to make sure I can do everything I want to on it. Also did that marshmallow update come out yet, I heard it is set for October but that might just be the Japanese version. Thanks.
I have been able to root this device with Kingroot but haven't found any custom recoveries yet. It's a good phone! I like it a lot. Very well built and good everything, a lot like a high end Sony but better made. Has a setting for unlocking the bootloader but I don't know if this actually does anything.

I got into recovery but the menu was in tiny kanji

reflash the rom with msmDownloadTool and youre good
when i installed my rom it was a clean install, and him it was an OTA incrementation, and we started having the same bug just after updating, it's been a week now, but i started talking about it when he asked me yesterday if i had that kind of bug, so i guess we are not alone facing this issue.

Clean flash! With msm tool or fastboot rom (just search in news&discusion section for STOCK FASTBOOT ROMS)
Your bugs is only from ota updates.
On many devices i had random problems from ota updates. Clean flash always sorted things out!

Having the same problem since 5.1.1 with double tap to wake. Seems worse on pie stable release but definately doesn't happen every 15 minutes, maybe once a day. Don't listen to the other people saying you need to use the unbrick tool because if you clean flashed like I did it won't solve the issue. This is on OnePlus for releasing an unstable rushed android pie

He said he did clean flash. Factory reset is the same as using the fastboot ROM.

Sometimes when i read some response i feel like i'm on an applestore lol, did you restart it to see if it's fixed?, did you clear cache,? ... Even if i know what i'm doing with my phone when i flash or what ever i do, reading answers as use the unbrick tool to "clean" flash the rom is not the way to fix a bug that is happening on 2 different phone that have the same rom installed with different ways, i was just checking if other users are facing it or no, that's all i was asking, sorry if i may "offend" anyone , but you must also understand that not everybody knows how to flash or to root or even to clear cache, we are supposed to get fully working phones out of the box, not fully working after using unbrick tools.
EDIT: if i also say that there is latency on bluetooth earphones while playing games, or the camera is really **** compared on what it should be they will also tell me clear cache or reinstall the rom loooooooooool

It reflashes the most partitions and you have a clean room after that. Nobody says it's only for hard bricked devices

I flashed the full rom then I factory reset in settings. This isn't an issue because you took an ota it's an issue with one plus ROM. If using an unbrick tool was the only way to fix issues there will be ALOT of angry users because I can guarantee that thousands of people have never even heard of XDA let alone know there's these sorts of tools available.
Simply put the pie release was rushed and is not very stable. I have had the double tap to wake issue from the start and have seen some threads on it. Its not really an issue for me tho because it doesn't happen very often. Pretty sure it's not a hardware issue.

Yes I know this but it's not going to fix this issue. Stop spreading wrong info. Unless you actually had this issue and you fixed it by using the tool

to fix this problem, no flashing is needed. just turn off advance battery optimization or greenify aggressive doze.

Still doesn't solve the issue. I tried yesterday and this morning when I woke up DT2W didn't work. It's like it goes into a very deep sleep.
