My battery use shows my phone not going to sleep. Its not auto sync because this hasn't happened before. Anyone know what's going on?

What Rom???

I do not think the phone is suppose to sleep ever. It is always waiting for a phone call. depending on your wireless sleep policy the wireless can go off, but the phone is always on.
Its like: Chuck Norris never sleeps, he waits.

Give it a glass of milk and read it a nice story.

I don't know the details, but the Android OS or the hardware or something goes into "sleep" mode, conserving battery, but the radio stays on awaiting calls or texts.

What ROM are you running? Are you using a custom kernel? That might be the issue.

{Help} Battery troubles still

I have a new phone 2 weeks old and from day 1 I've had horrible battery even with minimal use. usually I can get through a work day and that's it. I work in construction so I have no wifi. I turn off Wifi,NFC,Data,GPS,Bluetooth, and set screen brightness to lowest setting unless i'm using them. But keep in mind I'm rarely using my phone except for breaks which i put it on the charger. Here are some pictures that may help decipher the problem. At first glance I have a "wake lock". I'm stuck at 384MHz. I've had a wakelock on all my roms for some reason. Sometimes its the media app sometimes its android system...Currently I'm on Barebones CM10 but I've had most of this forums roms\kernels on my phone after a full wipe and even after some odin stock. I'm kinda lost as my sister who got the phone a day after me has great battery life and my friends say they can get up to 2 days if they aren't using it. i don't believe the 2 days comment, but still his battery life isn't as bad. I'm not crazy right? Also, I'm not sure why all the time running aren't the same

[Q]What could be causing my wifi to turn on by itself?

I noticed This happening for the past few weeks now.
Sometimes when I go to sleep, I don't turn the wifi off. But when I do, it seems that while I'm sleeping, the wifi turns on by itself.
The screen shots above shows that at the first few hours, the wifi was on, and so was Facebook!
I also noticed in the past that when I turn my wifi off,. Sometimes it will just suddenly turns on.
Can an app be doing this? I have auto-sync activated. Can that be the reason why my wifi just suddenly turns on? Cause on the graph, only the first few hours consumed 30% of my battery. Which is a big deal for me. Cause I don't want my phone to just decide for itself whether it will need data or not. I know it's a smartphone but there has got to be a limit how smart it is. Hehehe.

Probably autosync is the cause. There's no decent app as far as i know to open wifi or mobile data by itself.
Try to disable it and check it out.
Spoiler
Thanks. It seems that auto sync is really the cause. I turned it off and my wifi didn't turn on while I was asleep.

Using App Quarantine widgets for quick disabling enabling.
With Maps disabled, Now works fine in terms of determining my location, however the 'NAVIGATE' action is missing on cards.

What really works for me: processor underclocking + low screen brightness.
Nothin big.
1.Just put it into airplane mode when u have weak network (it sucks out a lot of juice trying to find a stronger connection) or when asleep (so that no one disturbs! )
2. Turn off wifi, gps, bluetooth when not in use!
life!
certainly low screen brightness and put in airplaine mode when I sleep

i plug my phone in, or set it on the qi, and the screen turns on. which means i have to turn it off . this is so obnoxious. is there a work around?
i flashed a stock rom for lollipop and its been less than stellar. also having a hard time getting it to charge. anybody else update and then feel the need to roll back?

I have no idea if there is a workaround or some way to turn the feature off but I just wanted to say that I find it annoying as well. Especially at night when you're just about to turn off all the lights and then this thing decides to turn on.
Cataclysm rom can disable that

Maybe is an issue of the ROM
what makes you think it doesn't turn off when its idle?
...besides don't you prefer to have WiFi running rather than mobile data burning?
Try rebooting your phone after changing the setting to never. This may solve the problem. It solved problem for me on Blisspop rom.

coz it's always connected, usually it disconnects after a while and reconnects when you turn your phone back on , and I don't keep data on so that's not an issue.. this is usually a problem during night time, if I sleep without turning off wifi it stays connected all night sucking up battery
