I have a transformer TF101 running on stock ICS(US), trying root it but unable with any of the existing methods as I have a B90.. As per my understanding many of tablet owners with B70 and all B80 and B90 owners are in the same boat... Is there anyone who figured out how to root these tablets? I hate stock ICS as there are many bugs and frankly I'm surprised at ASUS releasing this kind of OTA update..!!!
I have asked brk(maker universal toolkit v7. 1) he said he's unable to help and told me to find some other way (razorclaw r nachoroot).... So I will be happy if some one will help me here and I'm sure many others will appreciate the help.
Before anyone can say something "I'm not a n00b no I know what's happening with rooting"...
I had rooted my tablet when I hah HC 3.2 but I unrooted it as I thought I won't get OTA update of ICS (well I was a fool).... Hey in my defense I was itching for ICS... :-D
Thanks

Hello,
I've searched on the forum but I haven't founded a post which will answer to my problem.
I have an asus eee pad transformer TF101. It's a B70 and i'm on ICS. So I would like to root it and install ubuntu on dual boot. Is it possible ? Can you give me a (simple) tutorial because i'm new on android.
Thanks!asus ee
I second this question, but for a B90. I'm not new to rooting android devices but the forums are a mess and I don't have time to dig through hundreds of pages looking for clues to the correct way. Anybody who's been keeping up on the transformer scene and can post a link or two to the relevant guides, I'd appreciate it.
The easiest way to root is with vipermod which can be found in the transformer prime section. Use option 1 to root.
Ubuntu is much more dificult especially on b70+ because of the locked secure boot key but it is still possible. I believe the tutorial is in the general form but i am not quite sure. This can easily cause an unrecoverable brick so be warned
Look I don't believe I'm an idiot or anything but I've read everywhere and there isn't a solid straight forward tutorial on unlocking/rooting my device.
I've read everything. I never register for threads because I usually find what I need with enough searching... so the fact I'm doing this means I have "given up" searching.
I have an ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T.
I need to root this and unlock this.
Please provide straight forward step by step directions. I'm more accustomed to iOS so please explain or leave out the jargon.
Model Number: ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T
Android Version: 4.2.1
Build Number: JOP40D.US_epad-10.6.1.8-20130225
Thanks
Hi
I'm planning to root (not flashing) my Asus Transformer Tab. I read a lot of guides and posts around here but they confused me a hell of a lot. I've already unlocked my device, but now I wonder what to do!
Device information:
build-number: JOP40D_WW_epad-10.6.1.27.1-20130711
androidversion: 4.2.1
Could someone write me a step-per-step guide for this device?
Many thanks
Hey, guys. I have an old ASUS Transformer TF101G which is running insanely slow (it's lagging even when I change the page in a boom) , so I decided to root it and install a fresh vanilla Android. The problem is, I'm new to rooting and every tutorial I found on the Web is for TF101 and is not compatible with the G version.
And even if I succeeded in rooting it I have no idea which Android build to install, how, and where to download it from.
So, I'll be extremely thankful if you could help me out. Also, if stock Android is not an option, please recommend me another option.
Thanks in advance,
Spas
