Updating Qtek S200 ROM has cell phone locked in Boot loader

Hi there,
I bought a Qtek S200 and I tried to do a ROM upgrade. I followed the instructions given in the website http://kimpeacocke.blogspot.com/2006/06/how-to-perform-rom-upgrade-on-your-i.html
I got the upgrade from this site at ftp://xda:[email protected]_022021_Dopod_PDAMobizEdition_v101.zip
I followed the procedure given in the website given above. After I upgraded successfully the phone has become locked in the boot loader screen. I have done both soft reset and hard reset. Nothing works. The phone gets locked in the boot loader screen. Need help.
Thanks,
Julian
Try to reflash with Qtek ROM instead...
Why you said that it's locked on the Bootloader screen?
Is it frozen or locked?
Hi Rayan,
I tried flashing with the Qtek ROM. I cannot active sync as it does not connect to the device. So I cannot flash. As soon as I powerup, I get the Qtek screen and then it goes to the bootloader screen and stays there. Nothing else happens. I have sent the device back to the guy from whom I bought it.
I got the same problem as Julian - I tried to upgrade with the mentioned ROM and now my device are stucked at the boot screen :?

Same issue here with a O2 Xda Neo with German Rom.
Applied the procedure of the prophet wiki : How to CID unlock and Upgrade your Prophet (SPL 2.09 & 2.15)
After step 6 and a soft rest it is stuck in bootloader and will not do anything else, not even off or hard reset...battey has to be removed in order to shut it off....
Any ideas?
Remind me to find the guy who wrote the wiki page on unlocking CID in Prophet......good job pal......

you can get normal state, follow the bolded attention at above quote.after entering the 3 colour screen connect USB and you can load the original WM5 ROM on your device. after that, upgrade to any wm6 by the rules and active sync.

I tried upgrading to a wm6 rom without knwoing i had to app unlock and supercid my phone... now its stuck on the 3 colour screen!! what can i do???
Reinstall rom again.
Flash original ROM
Flash the original ROM first and then after unlocking your Tornado, flash any ROM you want to upgrade to.
Follow the excellent Kar Hoe's guide to upgrade your Tornado and you will be fine.
you cant flash original rom when its stuck in the colored screen
Yes you can
wel im trying for more then a week now, but no go, no matter what i do or try.
It stays in bootloader 3 colour screen
Original flash file = no go, cause it cant connect to activesync.
mtty = no go , USB port can not open no matter what version of mtty.
ttermpro = no go , can not open.
So if its possible, please tell me how.

cause you dont have a operating system so to say so its going to go into the bootloader. if you get to a bootloader than your phone is not "bricked" or broken, you just need to flash a rom onto it.
follow this guide exactly http://karhoe.net/guide-upgrading-htc-tornado-to-windows-mobile-6
i have read that many times, and tried over and over again.
But it wont flash, no matter what i try.
i give up
You should flash with factory wm5 original rom.
Can you please tell me where to get that?
Simple, just google for SPV C600 WM5 AKU2 ROM

[HELP] Acer s200 update rom fail

I have try to flash the unofficial rom. However, the phone rebooted during the update process. Now, my Acer s200 only can display the splash screen and cannot go into windows...
Anyways can flash the rom again?? I tried to use Acer_EUU.exe, but it need to detect the phone by Activesync. Anyways can flash the rom bypass activesync?
Some problem....
Hi!
I tried to flash from original EN ROM version on RU version and had the same problem - the device displayed Windows splash screen and then just reboot. So, I was confused but I didn't stop this process and after half an hour Windows loaded...(during this time I removed he battery and pushed soft-reset button a lotof times).
So, my only advice is to try to wait with re-booting device till the Windows boot and then to flash the original ROM (if you'll find it).
For me - after I loaded RU version of Windows I just flashed for custom EN ROM and it was OK (without this issue).
Good Luck!
It solves your problem..

Hacked ACER_EUU.exe

ActiveSync connection is not needed!
Also is not needed to edit version.txt..
Just replace original ACER_EUU.exe with this file, execute it. Press next,next,ok,ok.. Message "Waiting for download mode coming" appear..
Power your Acer s200 with Power+Camera buttons pressed and connect to computer.
Tested on 2 acer s200 phones

Rom update can be computer's fault
DimIce's program works perfectly. I've thought I bricked my phone many times, but always have been able to recover. This is what I recently discovered. In the middle of a flash, my computer said "write error". 'Thought my phone would stay dead. Finally, I switched to another computer and flashed the phone with no problem. So if you suffer a bad flash, simply change computers. If none is available, reboot your computer to clear the memory, etc. (by the way I'm using Windows 7 x64) and try again - sometimes even changing the USB port might help. The phone excels in it's ability to be re-flashed -even if you suffer disaster in the middle of a procedure.
As we dedicate only to HTC devices you won´t get too much attention.
Better try here:

If you have any problem please take it to the council.
my only intention is to let new members know that this is an HTC forum only!
So they don't waste their time
If that bothers you, shame...

Just open your eyes, dear sir.

Hello
When i run the programs, it fail, right away when it trying to restore my phone.
It says it reboot it to bootloader, but that dosen't happent.
So i think it can't boot my phone to the bootloader.
Manually boot the phone into fastboot, connect to your PC and run it again
I have try that, but then the program wont find my phone
Should i be in recovery mode? or just fastboot?
Sorry think i wasen't in fastboot mode, just Hboot, or what the first screen name is , when i push fastboot, and try again, it found my phone, and start working.
Hello
Thanks for you help. My phone is now back to the normal rom again.
Regards Kenneth Dalbjerg
