I would just like to say thank you to everyone who contributes yo XDA. Thanks to XDA I was able to get GPS working by updating my baseband to the July 15.
I get almost instant lock inside my house, before I could literally let GPS try to find a lock for 8+ hours on my trip to Ohio, and it would never lock.

I'm running stock and my GPS is incredibly slow. Using GPS Fix can never get a fix within 15 minutes. Any ideas? Should I just return the phone? I bought it at a tmobile store over a month ago. Would they even accept returns this far out?
You only have 14days to return but I would go plead a case how your not satisfied with the product

30 days in California.
I'm having this problem too. Nothing seems to fix it!! arghhhhhhhhh
I think installing a Gingerbread build breaks the GPS.

That's when my problems started.
Hopefully the official GB update provides some fixed GPS drivers.
I noticed that it goes back and forth for me. Sometimes it locks right away, other times I have to close and reopen slash turn off and on GPS. Do remember though there are always areas that are hard for any GPS to fix a location on. I know some of them here in the twin cities.

That's what I thought...at first.
But I have 2 G2xs. One that has never been flashed, and one that was flashed to CM7 and back to stock.
Never been flashed picks up GPS everywhere, indoors, outdoors in under 5 seconds. It's perfect.
Flashed one hardly works. Sometimes never gets any GPS satellites. Other times it gets them but never locks, even with 9 or more satellites in view. Before flashing, it worked fine.
This was the last thing I was expecting from this phone. Did they finally fix it or am I an anomaly?

I get 15 sec cold locks with 9ft. accuracy all the way down to 4ft. after a min or so. my vibrant takes 45sec to lock with 20-40ft accuracy. (and thats with gps mods). id say they fixed it.

I agree. GPS was always my biggest reservation with Samsung phones. That and lack of a stable cm7.
When cm7 finally comes out for this phone I might sell my mt4g.

I'm running Infused 1.5.3 and I an having trouble with GPS accuracy. It often never finds a lock inside or out. Any help would be appreciated because at this point it is worthless.

I second this. I'm running stock rooted with original radio. GPS has been great since I got this phone almost 2 months ago. It has just went to being almost completely worthless. Never locking below 50m standing outside.

Get GPS Aids Donate app, download new LTO file. Also, calibrate compass and pitch and roll using the GPS Status app.
Allow 10 to 15 minutes for first lock either outside, in car, or near a window if indoors.
Report your results here for further diagnosis.
Also, there were some great posts from cnote/jager/etc earlier when I was having a lot of GPS trouble. I'll post links when I get to a computer.
I rerouted my GPS through a Sony system instead of googles. Seems pretty snappy but i'm still testing everything...

I pulled lbsTesMode.apk from an old ROM. Using supermanager, I went under apk manager, sleceted lbsTestMode.apk, then activity and selected the shortcut icon the first entry (.lbsTestMode) to make a shortcut on the homescreen. Went to my homescreen, selected the new icon; went to SUPL/CP Settings and put supl.google.com for the server. Then I dialed *#*#INFO#*#* selected phone information and scrolled down. I hit the refresh button and checked what was in the SMSC box. I then replaced that with 07913121139418f0. Since then my GPS takes about 5 to 7 seconds to get a lock. On some phones you can make those changes by dialing *#*#3214789650#*#*, but for some reason I get an FC when I dial that (it's service mode).
For some reason my GPS won't lock, I am aware that that all of the previous issues with the GPS were fixed with Scott's latest builds, however for me its still not seeming to work. Can someone help please? Give me some tests to run or something?! Lol, I hope I put this in the right place. Thanks.

From time to time, with no rhyme or reason some users find that the first lock can take a long time- from 20 mins. up to in 1 case overnight. Once locked it seems to be fine. GPS Test is as good as any, free on Google Play. Best not to have wi-fi on.
