GingerReal 1.1.9
Infusion-GB (sorry entropy, gotta have OC)
UCKI3 or T959VUVKH1 modems
Already super smooth/no data drop like on CM7, will install thunderbolt or USAS soon.
CM7 is working for me right now. It may be getting a little bit old, but since it is running stable for me at the moment, I will probably stick with it until AT&T releases GB for our lovely big screened handheld supercomputer... jk we will never get GB... at least not before we get ICS
Sent from Zeus
After two months on s7 I now am sporting Gingereal 1.9, usas13, infusion core a2, and kk1 modem. All very smooth

Darky -> Dlev -> Galnet MIUI ICS (Black Ice ICS theme, GO Launcher with additional ICS theming)
First time opting for a non-Samsung ROM as a daily driver. Even with its hiccups, it's smooth and stable, and I get my hardware accelerated 1080p FLAC+subtitles MKV with DicePlayer. I'm missing the TouchWiz contacts app though.
Edit: Screenshots:
Hay GGX im kinda interested in seeing what you have setup, if you dont mind editing your post and putting up couple screenshots of what that looks like, would be nice to see
Thanks again for our infuse members placing their votes, i really wanted to see how our members have been using these roms , especially with the incredible dumps which have been coming lately lmao
Tried a good few of the roms available, like them all but seem to keep falling back to CM7. The phone just seems to run the best with it. And the UCKJ1 modem is the best I've found for the area I live in!

Sorry, but I didn't (I did some searching, but I didn't actually try to install it). I did everything using only MIUI's built-in settings and GO Launcher.
Does games lag because of the ram intake or does it run smooth like cyanogen roms do... is their a differemce in 3.0 and 3.5 sense as far as ram goes

When I was using Bindroid with 3.5, not much of a difference between 3.0 and 3.5. I normally play angry birds, doodle jump, com2us baseball, WSOP and NFS. There was some lag at the beginning and periodically when the game had to load something but all in all, for the resource hog that is sense, I really couldn't complain. I was also OCed to 1.2 so I'm sure that had a little something to do with it.
Being on Absolution (CM7 based) now, the lag isn't as bad, the games are smoother in that regard, still lag from time to time on start-up and when I get texts but it's better, I'm not OCed either on Absolution. Hope that helps!
Thanks I'm on absolution ics theme 11/29/11 also.... I have it overclocked to 1.4 ghz

Android 4.0.3
AOSP based off ICS Sense 3.5
4.0.3 AOSP Apps.
Bulletproof is the Best Mytouch Sense Rom.
Stock, but made to fly!
2.3.5
There's a lot of Roms by a Dev who was banned. But to keep from everybody getting mad. His names Undeadk9. Google it. You'll find his Roms.
His Sensation Port is full Sense 3.0
He also has a Rom that looks like ICS, and Runs like butter.

ok then after i get the phone i will try to test them, hope i got the old software so i can s-off it
Head to RootzWiki and download ICS-splashed. You'll get Antutu benchmark scores close to 7000 and it's as close to AOSP as we're going to get until we get CM9.

It's as close to AOSP as any ROM "undead" is still maintaining maybe.
"tbalden" is working on a ROM that is far more AOSP. But hey shut yourself away from everything not from "undeadk9" it doesn't bother me. :screwy:
Sent from Doubleshot on ICS.
JMHO here but there is alot to be said for Doubleshot Lite 1.2.4 too. Much better on battery life than most, which seems to be one of the larger issues on the MT4Gs from all I've read and experienced.
Rubix ics 5.2 with my installation instructions on page 148 of the rom's thread on rootzwiki

I would use the CyanogenMod 7.1.0 Alpha found in the Rom manager I used it before I upgraded to the Pyr-o-Ice ICS 0.9.1 beta So far I'm impressed with it as well there are a few bugs but those will work itself out. I hope this helps

Undeads roms are far faster and far more stable. I ran Pyro ice for two days. I must say ics is TOTALLY overrated. Pyro was super glitchy. The new liberty rom by undead is 2.3.5 ported from sensation with several aosp apps including the camera app. I'm sticking with Liberty Rom is my daily driver for the long Hull.

Cool story bro.
Just my spare change.
ICS splashed 5.3. Stable once everything is set up, and A2FAT is slightly less buggy.

I use sky ICS with the faux kernel... excellent battery life, looks and runs good that would be my recommendation to you.

another vote for sky ICS. Nexus is nice as well, but less themed.
I have been using SkyStocketeer, but since it hasn't been updated in awhile I swapped over to Bouyancy.
Very very pleased with this one so far. Stable and quite speedy for me.
im using nexusmod 2.0 currently it works like a champ i have yet to have a FC on it. Very Stable Very Fast and my battery life has been good.
Nexusmod 2.0 as well.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
currently using NexusM0D v2.0
waiting for NexusM0D v2.1 or buoyancy 1.3.1
I am currently using SkyICS RC7 with Faux123's kernel..
pretty good.. fast. i get some jitter when i scroll through some menus (i.e. my call log), battery life is pretty good as well..
I had NexusMOD2.0 with faux123 installed.. i liked this one too.. very stable, never one FC (in 2 weeks of using it) and battery life was AMAZING!!
the only reason i switched is cause i like trying new things, and GO Launcher EX didn't run as smooth on the nexusMod 2.0 ROM..
Im new to andriod and got a skyrocket a month ago, and now i love the ability to switch between roms. currently running SkyICS rc7 with Faux kernel. very fast and have little issues with it but im addicted to flashing and will probably change soon so many great roms to choose from thanks for everyones hard work
Which Stock Rom is best Performance for Nexus S?
Android Gingerbread 2.3.6

Android Ice Cream Sandwich

I can't really say much about stock since ics isn't out yet for i9020, but I definitely prefer custom gingerbread over custom ics. OXYGEN has been fast and rock stable for me, whereas all the ics roms I've tried have given me short battery life and many crashes.
I definitely prefer the appearance and functions of ics though

ICS without any doubt. The phone feels a lot faster, my battery life is better in ICS then in GB, ICS is polished and beautiful, some new apps only work on android 4.0, the new OS has some good built in functions, like 3G data monitor, you can now make panoramas without a 3rd app, etc.
If looking at stock roms, then ICS for sure. Much more efficient usage of RAM, multi-tasking which allows me to close out apps I have open. It looks clean and nice color scheme. Also Holo (font) is freaking awesome. The new ICS widgets are also nice. Calendar and gmail have been improved.
I haven't played around with the various ICS ROMs yet to compare those.
GB. ICS is slow opening apps. Also the transitions look more polished but at the expense of snappiness. I flashed back to GB stock to do some things on the phone and I am noticing how fast GB is.
I would say ICS (not stock). Currently running nuhetri v3.0.1 with AirKernel with voodoo colors and I definitely like it more than GB. No problems with this ROM and it has a great performance and battery life.
But the question is about the stock roms, not the customs roms....
For me is GB, is more faster and don´t have so many lag...
It's kind of weird that a lot of people are saying that GB is a lot faster than ICS. At least on my experience, ICS is much more fast and smooth compared to GB.

Could be my Radio version....
I will test later with others to see if it resolves
i have CM 9 version 3. I like it. Its beautiful looks is a big thing for me . performance wise... there is a little "lag" but think about everything else you get from ICS. i dont mind it at all .
4.04
You without me is like Harold Melvin without the Blue Notes...
Whatever stock or customed
ICS is much better
