any suggestions how to fix this?
thanks

What is the serial number of your TF. Look at the bottom, should be a sticker starting with a BxO... (x= a number).
If you have a newer tablet chances are you have a new SBK which is unrootable.
If older rootable version I would say use NVFlash method.

hi!
i got
SN:B60KAS222955
i tried nvflash and installed "prime-rom".
Now the device boots normaly,
but the touchscreen does not work.
I can not click any button on the screen...
solution for this?!
Thanks for help!

are you able to get into CWM recovery?
-press and hold the volume button down plus the power button
-when you see some words scrolling at the top left side push volume up
within 5 sec.
If you're able to get into CWM than do a full wipe and flash Prime 1.8 or 1.9
Another alternative I've heard of is to let the battery drain itself out, plug the charger in and it should work.

yea, i will try that with battery-drain...
read that in an other thread...
thanks for help, i will report my results
Thanks!

Me too, need to unroot.
use nvflash,
i have rooted and unrooted my Asus TF that way, easy as pie.
goes smooth and no issues (rooted to run chainfire 3d, for deadspace to run properly) figured rooted isnt for me I unrooted and everything is fine,
Unrooted
I failed rooting and bricked my TF then unbricked and rooted it then tested out the rooting experience for about an hour, and it is not what I had imagined, so I unrooted it using nvflash. I seriously did not notice that I had backed up my boot.img etc. using a GUI made for rooting that bricked my TF.
I did all this in a 6hr period, .
I have tried to unroot my TF using NVFLASH but I guess I might be something wrong. I think the first problem is that no matter what I do when I try to press volume up and the power button I can't get my TF to do anything. Now if I do volume down and power it prompts me to wipe data. If I power on my TF I can get myself into recovery mode but I'm guessing thats not the right way to do it. Can someone offer some assistance?

Turn the tablet off and then press volume up and power button and plug it in the computer. It will be in apx Mode. Screen stays off in apx mode but you will hear the connection beep from computer.

[Q] Will my B80 ever work again? EDIT: It will not until ICS

Hi,
One day I was having fun with my brand new TF101 trying to root it and flash a rom...
I did a MASSIVE FAIL and now I get the asus logo when I turn it on and it only turns off when it has low battery . I can however acces the XPA mode (but useless, NVFLash doesn't work on B70+) and I can get into wipe mode and cold-booting. I tried both but the transformer just freezes . I wonder if one of you guys can tell me if I just have a 399€ paper weight mad or if it can be a tablet again D)?
Thanks,
HorClok
What were the exact steps you did to root and flash ?
Did you install CWM Recovery ?
Power off the TF by holding Power for a while until it turns off, then
Try holding Volume Down + Power until white text appears onscreen, then either choose Recovery or Wipe Data

All i get is wipe Data or cold booting Android... :/ I don't have a recovery mode on this tablet (it's a WW)
after the words appear, you have to push vol up within 5 sec to get into recovry.
If you wait after 5 sec. you'll only get the clear data or boot options.

I think he has nearly the same problem like me.
i also cant get into recovery. but now its enough for me.
I will RMA it tomorrow. i also highly doubt that new SBK-Codes will ever be leaked/cracked.
There was nothing for month now.
Good Luck for you, but i guess only Asus can Flash it back with there "secret-Flash tool" or whatever, which we unfortunately don't have!

Maybe you can try to use the rom from the asus support site, put it on the external card and look if it will take the "update" ?
You have to unzip the downloaded zip file once. So you get a ASUS dir on the card. I think not unzipping further down.
Or try to play around with the unzipped file like is done here (even in that thread it is an OTA update and not a complete rom).
Just some idea's, didn't try it myself.
If it has access to fastboot...can't he just use the fastboot command to flash the system and boot images?
Where can i find this fastboot, and how get it to work?
Not all hope is lost - I did the exact same thing to my B70 trying to install CWM on it (then found out what a B70 was...). I managed to recover it using ASUS built-in recovery kernel.
The catch is that it seems the recovery kernel will only install a newer firmware - not the current or an older one. If you were still on the older (pre-Christmas firmware) maybe you can use that one right away, otherwise ICS is right on the horizon. If you don't know which you were on, it doesn't hurt to try anyway.
Here's what I did:
1. Stash the transformer under my bed for a month so I couldn't see it laughing at me while waiting for an update.
2. Once there is a newer firmware than the one you currently have, download it from ASUS (sorry I can't post the URL because I'm too new, it's pretty easy to find though)
2. Unzip the downloaded package
3. Find the zip file under ASUS/Update, copy it to an external Micro SD Card and rename it to TF101_SDUPATE.ZIP
4. Insert the sd card into the transformer, then resart it while holding the volume down button (if, like mine, the transformer won't stay off, that's fine - hold down the power key until it turns off, then hold the volume down as it starts back up)
5. When you see the white text in the top left corner, press volume up to enter the RCK.
6. Cross your fingers
If it works in a minute or two you should see a progress bar start up. If it doesn't you will see an android with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle on it's chest.
If it doesn't work, don't despair - it might be the firmware you are using is too close to the existing one on the tablet. Wait for the next release and try again. It took me a month of waiting, but I finally got mine back.
hmm but you where always been able to access the Recovery, so that you can the Androidman with yellow triangle or?
On my Pad, if i press vol-up it shortly shows "booting recovery Kernel", and than screen gets black and instantly reboots.
You had the same behaviour?

Unfortunately it seems yours might be even more hosed than mine was then - I could always access the android with the yellow triangle. The recovery/wipe/cold boot screens were always available, it would just hang at the ASUS screen on boot, always restart when turned off

Just to double-check - did you use the name TF101_SDUPATE.zip? I'm not sure if your above name was a typo after a long day of debugging
Good luck - I had pretty much given up hope after bricking mine, but did get it back. Hope your recovery efforts go as smoothly!
hmm, TF101_SDUPATE.zip ?
i thought all times "EP101_SDUPDATE.zip" ?
So what is the right name?

Now I'm wishing I had taken better notes when I did it.
I'm 90% sure I ended up using TF101_SDUPDATE.zip, because I was surprised too - I had previously seen EP101...
It certainly doesn't hurt to try both. It's also possible that the current firmware recognizes a couple of names.
[EDIT]
Looking at my terminal history, it looks like TF101... was an earlier failed attempt, and I did use EP101_SDUPATE.zip
If you haven't try it with the name EP101_SDUPATE.zip and see if it works any better!

[Q] Only asus bootscreen, no recovery or boot - Is it Bricked?

Good evening all?
Ive unlocked my TF300T a year back and had been running Cyogenmod 10.1 on it for months, all worked fine.
As a recovery i had CWM installed and it worked like a charm as well.
A week ago i saw Cyogenmod 10.2 was out there and i wanted to switch the recovery to TWRP (i installed ver 2.6.x.x) and tried the new Cyogenmod.
It sisnt work so i wanted to switch back to 10.1 and CWM.
I dont exactly know what i did but in the end even the vol down and power button menu doesnt work anymore.
The tab turn on now and shows the Asus start screen but doesnt boot up.
Also when i press vol down and the power button it doesnt load the boot menu where i can install a new recovery and install the old Cyogenmod.
When its powered on i cant even turn of the tab, it keeps turning on for a few minutes in the Asus logo screen and than turn off and on again... till the battery is empty.
Did i brick my tablet ?
Are there any ways i can try to get the original software back?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers !
Marty
Same situation with me....i think u have Hard Bricked your Tablet. The only option is Change the motherboard. So u need to send it to Asus..

I think i didn't...
At first i just unlocked the device, installed recovery CWM and after a version (januari 2013) of Cyogenmod 10.1 wich was Android 4.2.2 and kept the Cyogenmod 10.1 up to date every few weeks... Thats all i did till i wanted to install Cyogenmod 10.2 (Android 4.3)
I can't recall updating the bootloader myself, could have been with an Asus update or something but i think i din't do it myself.
CM changed to the updated PITs when Asus updated first.
best solution would be to flash latest stock, boot into it once, flash twrp2 (2.6.0.0 works for me atm) then flash cm10.2
here is my summary
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44244313&postcount=12
hope it helps
and no, i don't think you need to send it in for repair - it sounds more like broken PIT's so mount and boot points are not being recognized anymore.

More details will be needed before someone can help. What had you done right before it acted up? What rom do you have in there ATM? Can you post a picture or tell what's on the initial screen (the one before the boot animation)? Did you try volume down + power? If you did, what did the screen show?

I rooted my device using the method shown on this page
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228613I
, the ROM is stock and the screen before the animation is normal (white Asus text). I have tried volume down and power and from that screen, I reset my tablet. This didn't solve the issue, before this started, I changed the boot animation and changed fonts. I think it was while restarting after the font change that it stopped booting properly.

I gather by "reset my tablet", you meant you cold booted it by selecting the android icon. This being the case, you can always reflash the stock ROM with fastboot. Depending on whether you had 4.1 or 4.2 bootloader - 4.1 has 4 icons including a USB icon which if clicked, will make the tab enter fastboot/download mode; 4.2 will enter that mode automatically as you press volume down+power - you need to choose the right ROM you want to install. The initial screen should tell you which bootloader on the top left corner. 4.1 matches stock Roms commencing with 10.4.x.xx; 4.2 is Roms with 10.6.x.xx
I've flashed a 4.1 ROM (104220) on a tab with 4.2 bootloader by means of an external SD card without problems. However, to be safe, you should flash whatever version you'd had before the incident. If you already have data on the tab that you care to keep, you shouldn't touch the wipe date icon. If you need a link as to what to do, read this one. Good luck.

2 TF700 issues 1.freezes and reboots 2. Power button turns off tablet

Hi guys I recently install Cyanogenmod onto my Asus TF700 and now every time I go to the main screen which is the home screen I get to use the tablet for a tiny bit and then it freezes and then reboots! Also everytime I press the sleep button/power button the tablet shuts down without a question. I previously had CROMI and nothing like this occurred. Does anybody know of a fix or has the same issue?
I have TWRP latest version and yes my Asus is unlocked. Please help me out here

[Q] Stuck on ASUS logo

Hello everybody,
I hope that someone can give me some advise to get my tf300t up and running again. I wanted to install cm10.2 but I wanted to install CWM first.
I unlocked my device first with the unlock app v8 from asus.
I tried to install CWM the first time but it did not work.
I went back into recovery mode but I wasn't paying attention and pressed wipe userdata
Now my tf300t only shows the ASUS logo and the text that the device is unlocked. I can't get back in recovery mode anymore. Is there a way the restore it back to default?
I hope that someone can help me out.
Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

If you cant get into there, you cant really use fastboot. Unless you made NvFlash Backups beforehand, I don't think there is much else you can do, since the recovery isn't working either.

I've spent a lot of time searching and it seems like that's it...
I'm on Asus screen, I can reboot it by either holding down pwr button until it reboots, or using reset switch with a paperclip. vol - does nothing, just reboots to asus screen...computer sees nothing. vol + goes into APX mode (blank screen)...computer detects with correct drivers. I've tried draining battery completely...disconnecting battery for a few days...same result.
If I had to speculate...maybe at some point someone will figure out how to use another's backup files and push them to the device in APX mode.
I've looked into replacing the motherboard...and have seen some for as low as 50$ on ebay. Personally, swapping them would be easy...but some may not have the caviler attitude with hardware swapping. Just gotta get the wife to agree to spend the $.
I'd die for a free fix, the kids really miss playing with the thing
