Im looking for the Samsung Weatherbug Clock Widget from stock. Also I seen the Feeds and Updates APK which I installed but the header is pink is there a way to change that color please

that should be the right clock... as for the feeds and updates widget the one I uploaded is, according to Nitroglycerine (whos Eclipse GB rom I got it from), the SGS2 one so it should look different (not pink) as I don't know how to change the color without using a theme

did you try just putting them in /system/app and rebooting phone? i don't think they're supposed to be installed

I know there's been compatibility issues with stock widgets on the newer roms, most likely due to lots of framework changes in the new builds... you could try posting in the rom thread though, maybe somebody got it running and could provide it as I usually don't use stock samsung widgets

if the ones from the above link don't work I suspect it may be because they are touchwiz widgets and Infinity is a heavily modded touchwiz-based rom, something new probably borked them
edit: also the widgets I linked to earlier were pulled from a froyo rom, so may not work at all on a GB rom no matter what you do

Mostly curious if anyone has already started working on themes for the sense 2.2 leak.
But what i would REALLY like to see in a theme is simply something with a lot of cyan in it. im mostly seeing a lot of deep red/blue themes, which all look great, but i think something with a lighter color would be nice.
on a side note, i just tried to install johnnybueno's red sense theme on the 2.2 leak rom, but did it through rom managers "install rom from sd" option and about pooped myself thinking i had bricked my phone when the screen went black and wasnt responding to the power button or anything. then i pulled battery and booted into recovery.

Yeah that's why I put rom version when I post my themes.
Each time i theme something, I'm basically extracting png files from apks, editing them or replacing them, putting them back into the apks, then re-signing. Because of that, you really don't want to flash the framework-res.apk from another rom... one wrong resource will fubar your framework and you don't want that. Thankfully, because you have a custom recovery you will never brick your phone from a theme I've put together.

Didnt work on skyraider 2. The only thing it did was make launcher pro my default launcher. There was no theme at all
I have a request for anyone that can replace the HTC Launcher bar with the Espresso Bar found on some other threads, it looks so much more sleeker and it matches Sense better than the rounded one
is it possible to put it on my phone without having to flash the ROM and lose everything again? I just finally got everything the way i want it . . .

Can I rename this rom to pc36img.zip and will the phone recognize it as a stock rom when security is on? Can I use it to recover a botched root attempt?
There is another very important thing to note here. ALL 3.30.x releases are designed only for and optimized only for the latest hardware revision 004 Evo's. If you own a hardware version 001-003 Evo, the ROM may work fine in general or like others you may have nothing but issues. You will definitely find that your battery life sucks bad.
If you have a hardware version 001-003 Evo and want a truly superior running phone with outstanding battery life...and you'd like something very current, I would suggest trying out the Azrael v2.5 as it is built from the proper 3.29.651.5 code-base, the current, official release for these 001-003 Evo's.
I love Caulkin's ROMs more than anything, but just can no longer tolerate that performance and battery life I get using a 3.30.x ROM on my version 003 Evo.
From there you can play with kernels, looking for one's made from the correct code-base. The official HTC for this build is #11. The #17 kernel is for the 3.30.x ROMs for the 004 Evo's.

Metamorphs are not rom specific exactly, but they are not universally compatible either.
It's kind of hard to explain, but the apks a metamorph modifies are basically just zipped up directories. Sometime the directory names vary just slightly from rom to rom, sometimes the file names do.
Most of the time, a metamorph requires very minor adjustments in order to be compatible with a rom it wasn't "designed" for even if it's a completely different version of android. If it isn't completely compatible, it will still often patch some apks giving a somewhat "half-themed" phone.
Metamorphs also rarely do anything too invasive and therefore won't hurt anything, other than making your apks larger in size. However, this doesn't mean in any way that you shouldn't make a full backup before attempting anything.

Hello all. I appreciate all of the custom roms out there. I agree withe the fact that the touchwiz ui uses garish colors, but the additions actually tend to improve on android's functionality, unlike other skins lime motoblur. Does anyone have a copy of the stock calendar apk. It seems that gummy rom got rid of it and all the roms based on gummy don't have it. I would really appreciate it.
I would like it as well. Would some one be kind enough to post it and tell how to install it?

I can attach the apk's from the deodexed EE4 version...but I dont know how to install them correctly. I keep trying to get them to work but have no clue. If someone can get them to work please let me know?
I have tried deleting the original apk's via root explorer and putting these in there place with no luck

I just copied the apps you have posted in the system/app folder and they work. My Calender now finally syncs with gummy chccharged 1.9.1.

Go to menu - settings - application - manage applications, you can see the remove applications and use it.
Do any of you guys have a problem editing the list of locations in the weather app on this ROM?
I installed it last night, everything works great but I can't update the weather app with multiple locations.
Also - how do you guys find battery life with this ROM and is there anything that we can do to improve it?
Battery life is pretty good, and the update for 1.29.0 just arrived so maybe you could update to the latest version.
Did you guys notice that the Voice Search is no longer working after flashing 1.27.0? or is it just my phone? COme to think of it, I didn't check if it was working before I flashed my phone.
maybe you should read the change log first...it helps a lot to know what you'll get after rom flashing..

I'll try, performing a backup right now just to be safe.
Will give you an update once i've checked if everything works.
Edit: I've installed it and everything seems to work,
everything still looks right and the windows animations are neat (not entirely my taste though).
Don't know if there might be anything wrong with in the long run though, so don't just rely on me.
