Been pestering him for it as I saw it on his Sensation a few weeks ago and it was fantastic.
I have put in a link for the file any devs can help themselves, just please tell me how to install it!!!

wow! this would be amazing!

Pretty sure this is just for the Flyer

I'm with EddyOS on this 1. The fact the dzdata is for 4, 16 and 32Gb hardware gives it away. how ever I'm sure if you dropped in a 1Gb version you could get this to work but as i don't have a spare sensation lying around I'm not willing to try it just yet.

This sounds very interesting.
I hope a few of the very experienced DEVS around here look into it and tweak it up a bit.

i would like to see how this look my self

Taken from Paul's MCR for the Fyler thread:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/345...co-custom-rom-for-the-htc-flyer-honeycomb-32/

Eddy is that on the Sensation? ^^

It all looks rather good ^_^ Pretty sure though its for the Flyer only atm as others have mentioned. I can't decide which cheap tablet to get for the parents as of yet... Shall wait though as Kal-El is out soon...

this would be absolutely amazing if it works straight off on the Sensation......

Those pix are for Flyer waiting to see confirmation regarding the sensation

I know they are, as it's the Flyer ROM - I posted the pics!. This will not work on the Sensation, I can pretty much guarantee it
HC is a tablet OS, Sense in this ROM is 'Sense for Tablets' - it's not going to work and, if it does, it'll be ****

True it wouldn't work straight off however it has a much better chance of being a good port than other honeycomb ROMs as the HTC Flyer is a HTC device and therefore the libs from the Sensation may be more compatible. Also and possibly more importantly the HTC Flyer uses a Qualcomm CPU vs the Tegra in other tablets which may aide compatibility further.
It would be nice to see what some experienced chefs could come up with for the Sensation from this Honeycomb ROM as it's possibly the most compatible Honeycomb ROM yet apart from the HTC Jetstream which due to it's dual core Qualcomm CPU and 8mp camera might be more compatible still? Although it would take an experienced chef to find out!

I've made into a ROM with the kitchen into a flashable zip buy I'm sure things would need to resized. Just flashed the framework and sys UI to my current ROM from here (just drawable hdpi folders)
I know its a tablet ROM but I'm sure this would be able to port to sensation. What would be needed?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App

Ok guys, porting Honeycomb, no matter if its HTC or whatever, is not easy. Most, if not all, of our current libs are probably unusable on HC. And, if I were doing the port, I'd choose the Jetstream/Puccini ROM because THAT tablet has the same chipset as the Sensation. In my experience porting roms to HD2, its much easier when the chipset is the same one. And the Flyer is single core, plus its another resolution, so porting it will be totally hard and imo, useless, because it will be full of bugs, that won't probably ever be solved because there is no Source code for HC. So, just wait patiently for Ice Cream Sandwich. hope you understood what I meant
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA App

Does honeycomb even have the capabilities to make a call? They sell them were I work, I'm not a fan but having the option to have it on a sensation would be nice, we also sell the HP for 80 quid. Getting honeycomb on that would be a great acheivment, as an 80 quid dual core tablet running honeycomb is right up there with the bargain of the century.

I've moved this and edited the title. This is not a ROM thread, is not Dev work, and does NOT work on the sensation, so please don't try anything with the files unless you know what you are doing.

Any chance of a flyer rom for the sensation? Would look good in my opinion

They said HTC Sense will be free for every G2 user. and the update will be released before 30 October.
And another news is for other counties' G2 user, HTC Sense will be released at November 2009, different countries have different time.
original words from HTC Website:
"HTC Magic users can soon experience HTC Sense on their Magic when a free upgrade is made available in November 2009. With the upgrade to HTC Sense, users will enjoy a more holistic mobile experience made available by HTC. Be sure to sign up as a HTC e-Club member to stay informed of the availability of the upgrade and be the one of the first to experience the new Sense."
In a word, HTC Sense is coming!!!
Sweet Action!
we already know that for other countries it is coming out in november. but for taiwan they get it early? before october 30? that is better news.
So within the next 9 days interesting.
Thank god... was about time....
pls post a link here
So I'm guessing 32A users will be the first to get the HTC Sense?

There are no plans for an official 32B Sense version, if thats what you mean.
it will be a complete rom with sense ui? or just the ui?
i'm asking because i have a hero rom for the moment and i don't know if i can find an original one (vodafone romania)
is that a donut kernel or cupcake?

ill get a 32b version going if youd like .. itll take some VERY light mods
prolly just a kernel and some apk optimizing
Thats awesome. Makes me glad to me a 32A user.
Hmmm, I hope it's running donut.

It wouldn't be big surprise for me if HTC release Cupcake version. On the other side, as far as I know, HTC Tattoo has already Sense on Donut, so it's nothing new for them. Personally, I'm waiting for Android 1.6 Donut with HTC Sense for HTC Magic 32A, doesn't meter whose release (original or moded). So new, original rom based on Cupcake with Sense UI is nothing special for me (I have already MyHero and I'm happy with it).
i think its 1.5 guys
it's a very very good news..32B will have releases of this rom, and assurely with wifi, bluetooth, and others many things working great
32B, don't be sad !!
Yeah, 32B users will also get a fully functional Rom just might run a bit slower.

I'm lost. Help with getting back to grips with the G1.

A while back I rooted my G1 and currently I'm running
Firmware: 1.6
Kernel: 2.6.29.6-cm42
Mod Version: CyanogenMod-4.1.9999
Build number: DRC83
O.K. I know I might be abit behind with the times but can anyone in the community give me some advice on what I need to update to, say, something like Éclair.
The reason is 1.6 is getting sluggish so I might as well update it to something that is new and fast(ish).
I'll be watching this thread and if you need any questions answered I'll try to get them sorted as quickly as I can.
Thanks
Oh and on a side note I'll be given the choice of the Desire, Droid and X10 for my upgrade in a few weeks, which would you guys suggest?
CM 5.0.7
Droid
Desire or the X10
SuperE
and Desire
I'd say 5.0.7 not the original maybe one of the mods.. SpeedTeam or Magic Elixir..
Make sure to update to 1.7 recovery..
and.... if I'd have to give you an honest answer... neither? but if I had to have a choice I'd get a Desire

I'm curious, why would you suggest not going original CM5? I'm using it and i think its pretty much perfect...
Why not try some ROMs out yourself and see?
Personally I think the 32B hardware (G1/Magic) is not powerful enough to deliver a nice experience with Eclair, even with Cyanogen's excellent CM5 release which is a better 2.1 than I imagine even HTC could come out with.
I stick to Dwang which is pretty much Donut AOSP with a fast kernel and framework. Some people disagree and are loving Eclair. Some people like SuperD and CM4 which are about as advanced as Donut can get.
The X10 has got really poor reviews, and doesn't even come with Android 2.0 or 2.1. The Droid is nice and all but the 1GHz in the Desire is difficult to pass up. Out of your options, I'd get a Desire, though a Nexus One would be even better.
Droid is OC'able to some high values... id take it, but im always gonna stick with a device with a keyboard as my main MOD/DEV device..... hate them soft keys.... maybe in the future i'll grab a solid touch device along side my HK phone

OT: Get CM5, then when the time comes get a desire. You can easily root the desire to run nexus firmware so you can get rid of that yucky sense crap (IMO).
personally if you wanna try eclair, get with STEclair, and when it comes time, go with the desire... like he said, its hard to pass up a snapdragon processor

For your side note, I would go with either the Droid Incredible (HTC Sense 2.1) or Nexus One (Standard 2.2 OS w/Adobe Flash)

[Q] What to purchase HTC desire or Galaxy S

Hi everyone,
I am very excited about the Android phones because of it's user friendliness and faster work experience. So, I purchased my first Android phone in the form of Galaxy 3 and using it is not a great experience for me.
1. No custom ROM for modification.
2. No custom Kernal for overclocking.
3. GPS problems every time.
4. Battery backup is not good.
5. The icons are also very small 'coz it's ldpi.
6. Bored.
I searched cyanogen website and there they modify mostly HTC phones. I think they love to modify HTC phones only. I always want to have different looks to my phone using themes.. as I use to do in my Nokia phones.
And during some research I also got the information regarding processors; This research concludes that Snapdragon is not good as compare to the Humming bird processor used in Galaxy. So, is that TRUE or NOT.
So I want to know from you people that what would I buy..

HTC Desire OR Galaxy S
HTC Desire No1
If u want user friendly phone with no need to install mods and custom roms, then take Desire, but i f u want the one of the fastest phones in the world, take Galaxy S but you'll have to install custom roms and kernels to make him faster. The Galaxy S has got the best graphic card for now (PowerVR SGX540). Your choice.

And the Battery life of HTC desire is already less than Galaxy S as I got know while surfing some sites.

Hardware and spec wise, Galaxy S should win. But in reality its equal if slightly ahead. The lagfixes fix the... well, lag And all other problems are going to/ or are fixed. Its a great device, I would recommend it considering it is newer and a gorgeous screen.
All in all Galaxy S, if your willing to lagfix it.
If your worried about CyanogenMod, it runs on both. Galaxy S is probably more likely to get ports of new stock roms, since it's newer, and because of the Nexus S. Desire is cheaper. Personally, I went with Galaxy S.
Galaxy s. The desire suffers from buttons rather than capacitive keys and has a redundant trackpad.
Also, its the kind of phone one might buy for a parent.
hi peeps,
i'm looking for an "updateable" phone..i'm leaning towards the Desire as HTC has a strong track record of updating its phones, as well as strong community support, but on the other hand the Nexus S is out at is based on the SGS, so the updates may stop pretty soon.
The SGS has better hardware, but the recent Froyo update mess made me think twice; perhaps the more "chic" brands like Samsung and Sony Ericsson don't really take updates seriously?
If i go by the thinking that the phone with most units sold will be supported better, the Desire would have the edge right?
So, which phone would you suggest to a would-be Android developer? tia
Nexus S all the way You'll be sure to get all the latest updates first, directly from Google. And it's the best Android phone money can buy IMHO.

HTC say: We're reviewing Ice Cream Sandwich and determining our plans

HTC: We are excited about the latest update for Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and are currently reviewing its features and functionality to determine our upgrade plans. Our goal for Android updates is to give every customer an improved user experience, which means balancing each phone's unique hardware, HTC Sense experience and the Android kernel. While our goal is to upgrade as many of our recent devices as possible, we are committed to maintaining every phone's performance and usability first. Please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans.

How can we have a AOSP when Google has not even announced if the are going to release the Source code for ICS yet. I mean AOSP stands for Android Open Source Project.
I for one really hope that Google does release the Source and does not treat ICS in the same manner they did Honeycomb. But I think they just did not want Honeycomb ported to phones is why they did not make it open Source. Maybe now that ICS has the features of Honeycomb in it Google will not hold back and not release the Source.
ALL Android OS are open source, they are ''obliged'' to release the sources in the 3 months after releasing it on any device.
HTC took the freedom to release their Desire source to the last week so N1 devs couldnt adapt it too soon, but in general as we saw with GB AOSP Google release the sources pretty quickly...specially when a new iphone is endangering sales

Yeah that is the exact the point I was trying to make. I am also fairly sure that Google will release the source code for ICS as it is meant for phones and tablets where as Honeycomb was just meant for tablets. But to further my point from my earlier post. Honeycomb source was never released and even the great king the HTC HD2 Leo only got on Honeycomb ROM and it still has a ton of bugs and is not a daily driver ROM. In fact I am not sure if the developer is even still working on the ROm as I have not went to the thread in a good while now. So you see a ROM dump from another device that is running the OS version you want from another device will work to make a port. But ports are mostly buggy at best when first released and also require loads of work by devs. But a AOSP ROM usually works way better and from what I know takes less work from devs to bring to a device.
Can't wait to see what the devs is gonna cook up with ics =)

well in the UK its HTCs flagship device.
In US the Amaze 4G and now Rezound are better then Senny.
That does suck if it does happen, but thankfully we have awesome devs here. If Sense 3.0 was able to be ported to the Nexus One, I'm sure 4.0 can be easily ported to the Sensation

im just worried that ICS will need 1GB RAM to be at its full potential.
As Sense adds a lot of overhead on top of stock android.

i think it was a little bit too obvious he was a fake.
even before you added the update I kinda knew he was BSing.
@DahIzzo , I really like the pic i your sig that is funny. But the youtube video is like even way better. I totally despise facebook and will never ever ever ever ever ever use it. I really do not see why it ever became so popular, maybe I am not dumbed down enough (sarcasm). I have not joined google+ yet but the video and the fact it is big competition to facebook has made me decide to go sing up right now.

My thoughts excatly.I think AMOLED is a step back with its penTile Technology. It should at least have a S'AMOLED Plus with a qHD res to be considered an improvement over the current SLCD display.

exactly. and the screen burn or whatever, doesnt display whites correctly. black is and vibrant colors are the only colors that look good. on SLCD "everything" looks good.. yeah the SAMOLED+ with qHD would be interesting, but they are using 2 gens behind xD AMOLED was on the behold 2 and crap like that lol. hopefully they change that.
Couldn't agree more. Amoled displays are so over rated and way over saturated too!
