Tilt 2 and Touch Pro 2 are the same phone, just for different carriers.
I have a Telstra TP2, running Froyo. It runs pretty well considering it's a 500MHz device with not much RAM. Don't expect the performance of a 'modern' smartphone though

Looking to get an HTC Touch Pro, touchflo question

I was wondering. I am an ex-Tytn II owner and I was aggrevated on how slow the phone was.
Is the HTC Touch Pro much faster now? Like Touch Flo is it similar to speed as the IPhone?
I am worried about getting the HTC Touch Pro to find out its slow/sluggish.

With the newer ROMs and tweaks, it's very fast. There's no huge lag like when it first came out, you'll be happy with it.
I would say the speed is much improved but not what it should be. I would say it is comparable to my Iphone 3G 90% of the time.
I have to ask myself... currently I use SPB Mobile Shell and I love the Dial Tab, which offers two-touch dialing of eleven most-used contacts. Is the contacts system in TouchFlo3D at all as convenient and quick?
Thanks.

Is it only in certain applications that this 10% lag occurs?
Actually is there a video showing the phone in action with the updated Rom? i saw the video by wired and it looks sluggish in that video. thats not with the newest rom is it?

Which one should I get? X1 vs Touch Diamond 2

Hi, I'm going to buy a new "phone" and I've read so many comparisions but I still can't decide with which one I should go.
I've followed the HTC phones for quite some time and recently I discovered the X1.
While I don't know very much about the X1, I heard that it has a dedicated graphic chip. Will any Windows Mobile application just use it or do the applications need to be exactly written for it? How fast is the interface? (for example, I hate how slow and unresponsive the Samsung Omnia interface was!) And is it as easy to use as the touch flo interface?
The only reason why I consider to get the X1 is it's keyboard, because there are a lot of emulators for Windows Mobile available but I won't be able to use most of them, JUST with a stylus.
So with which one should I go?
Or should I wait for the touch pro 2? Or another upcoming phone with even better specs?
Thanks in advance

just curious

would anyone recommend trying the dual boot on a dash 3g?
i couldnt find any information about it working on non-touchscreen phones
Moved as not software release.
You mean the Gen Y dualboot?
It's only for XDAndroid, which is available only for phones like the diamond, touch pro, touch hd, etc.
So I don't recommend it.

HTC Touch Pro 2 vs. Motorola Droid Verizon

Hey guys, I am stuck in between which phone to choose. I have the touch pro 1 right now and really like it but don't like how it gets kind of laggy sometimes and I have read that the Touch Pro 2 has the same issues. Anybody that has used both the Touch Pro 2 and the Droid have any suggestions?
I will be using the phone for both business and personal.
I also use email on my phone quite often and have several different accounts to use. I know the Touch Pro 1 does well with this.
I also know that you can put the Android on the Touch Pro 2, but does it run very well yet or is it still pretty buggy?
Overall, I want an internet friendly, email friendly, and call and text friendly phone. I use almost every feature on the Touch Pro 1 and am leaning more towards the Touch Pro 2 right now, but just looking for a little bit of help.
Thanks
HTC all the way
Have a look for your self:

I would choose Rhodium with no doubt

How much storage do you want?
Do you value a physical keyboard?
Which do you think looks the best?
How big of a screen do you want?
What models will work on your carrier (this will probably limit you the most)?
