Clarification on Android 2.1 on Htc devices with O2 Network

We tried many 2.1 ROM's this week on Htc and Sony Windows mobile devices with the O2 Network, seems that some ROM can connect in 2G and Internet but Having problems to connect Wifi, Bluetooth, phonecalls , sms and the Market still not a good pleasure for the fan's of android o2 customer's, other ROM's can connect Wifi and browsing but not 2G or even 3G and the Market still have big problem. If some developer around on the net can give us a clue so to find a ROM with all services: 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth,Market and of course phonecalls...Many thanks

Is there a hack that will allow both Ad-hoc and wifi calling?

So I moved... and now I have no T-Mobile service. I have working wifi on my laptop but I'm too far from the router to have WiFi calling work. I have two wireless adapters (one external that picks up 11Mbps downloads and 3Mbps uploads) and one internal (which varies). I want to set up an ad-hoc in Windows 7 that my phone can connect to and trick WiFi calling into working so I can use my phone. I put this in development because obviously Android doesn't even see my ad-hoc network in the first place.
Can this be done somehow? I'm running Android Revolution HD ROM btw.

this Problem occures because Android filters the ad-hoc networks from wifi search results , means Android discovers them , but not showing them to you !!!!!!!!!
i don't know about the effect on wifi calling .
there is a patch for Desire HD that i used on my Incredible 2 ( working 100% ) called ( DHD_Adhoc_Support.zip ) link in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386601&highlight=AdHoc+Enable+Networking
there is another one for sensation called ( Ad-hoc Sensation-Ad-hoc.zip ) . i don't remember from wher i downloaded it . i don't have sensation phone to try it , but i am sure it will work . Update link http://www.multiupload.com/A6AGJVX7A0
this patch will replace your original file in your Rom , so do a nand before you try
All sense Roms i tested have problems with wifi ???
there is a small yet powerful Software Called Connectify Pro that does three things :
Acts like an actual hardware Router ( Not software networking )
toggle wifi with a single click for either ad-hoc or hotspot
automatically does all complicated configurations for all types of network to fit with your firewall and windows
And more , i can't do without it

[Q] Nitrous Rom hotspot, 3G only?

Does anyone know why the Nitrous ROM switches from 4g to 3g connection when you turn on hotspot? I've searched and can't find any info on it. I start out with a good 4g connection, switch on hotspot, and connection switches to 3g (but hotspot works). Great ROM otherwise though!

Im trying to find a way to get wifi tethering back on my xoom..
My xoom is currently rooted 4.1.2 (stock root)
my blaze 4g is currently rooted 4.0 (stock root)
whats the easiest way to get wifi tethering to work? do i need modded roms on each with tethering?

Hi Spiked,
Are you using a Wifi-only Xoom (MZ-604) and trying to connect it to the cell phone 4g network?
If so you need to enable tethering on the blaze (Wifi Hotspot). This is normally found in Settings > Wireless and Networks > More settings. After you set up the hotspot, and enable it, it should become available on the Xoom in the list of Wifi networks you can join.
Wifi hotspot has been a built in feature of Android since 2.2 Froyo, although it took a while for the hardware to catch up. Mobile Carriers tend to remove the functionality with their custom skins, so they can charge you for the feature.
If the above solution doesn't work maybe you can try this app?
WiFi Tether for Root Users, available from the Play Store. It won't let me post because I don't have 10 replies yet...sorry.
