In my opinion Pyrimid3D is the best ROM going around, and Ive tried quite a few.

Using Senseless Extreme3.1 as I got tired of Sense. Will use CM7 when it comes out.
No CM7 or MIUI till now Getting bored of Sense now I want MIUI!!!
Sorry for not going into detail.
Think the P3D ROM is great mainly because of the quickness, love the blue neon theme, and so many other things. Check out the features on the above link.
And sorry I'm a noon, but why would they close my thread?

Android Revolution HD 3.0.4 is the best ROM ever for htc Sensation
Super Fast
Super Smooth
Stable
Good Battery Life
I agree, at one is pretty cool. If I wasn't using P3D I would be using it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
just because there are several kinds of this thread already going, but i suppose its pertinant, considering how many new roms are available now, and how many ppl have posted so far
I prefer the stock look over any themed ROM. Especially on the P3D. That neon theme is a love it hate it type of thing. Me, I wanna have full control on what I want on my phone rather than habing it themed for me. Same as with the font used on the ROM. Anyways, I'm running the beta 2.3.5 by baad with faux kernel and it's really fast and smooth. Also, I've tried every other ROM on the sensation and so far the stock based, meaning the untouched but deodexed or odex are the fastest and smoothest.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
I have tried most of the ROMs and ended up staying with Energy. It is close to stock but themed just enough to be perfect, and I have never had any problems with it. It gets the best battery life, it's very quick and stable, and best of all the dev is on top of it, any found bug will be fixed instantly.

What was faster for you? CoreDroid or P3D? I'm on CoreDroid 2.3 right now and I love the theme, but I feel like it still isn't the quickest ROM and I'm getting in the mood to try a different ROM (CoreDroid has basically been the only ROM I've tried). If P3D is indeed faster I'll try it out since it has its own nice theme.
does the new faux kernel fix all the 3d and gaming issues?
I always go hack to eagleblood Rom.

Hey guys quick question I've been working with my brother in laws t bolt.
When you flash a radio from hboot is that like fast boot before recovery?
and since he is rooted what rom its solid and should I flash so I don't have to revisit it again I had das bamf 1.63 running but have had a few reboots and gps locking issues

Do you have the Gingerbread Radio currently or froyo. If you have Froyo I would def go with BAMF Stripped its a great rom with great battery life and none of the crappy sense. If you have Gingerbread then go with the GINGERITIS rom which has been running great for me in terms of stability and battery life and ofcourse the uber cool sense 3.0 lockscreen with shortcuts.
And for your Hboot question it is is the white screen with little androids at the bottom . It will tell you if you have S-ON S-OFF and other information such as what radio you are running.

Truthfully, ROM choice is a matter of personal preference and whatever anyone tells you here is just their opinion. All of the ROMs for TB on XDA are in the Development section, so it would do your brother-in-law justice to have him pick what he wants based on the features.
Ill recommend Liquid Gingersense. I used Liquids ROM's throughout the year/s with my Original Droid 1 and they were fantastic and Ive stuck with them ever since. Always very fast and stable and usually its updated quite frequently.
Go for the sense 3 preview from Adrynalene. This thing has the best eye candy I have ever seen. If you are looking for something speedy, any of the stripped ROM's would work or CM.
Try them all

this s on or off in hboot screen is that a seting I need to adj?
Once you have permanent root you should have s-off. I if he suffers from random reboots I suggest he run the stock radio the device was shipped with. I have the stock radio and have never had reboot problems. I've tried both das bamf and CM7.

Started out w Chingeys Perfect Storm. If you want to stay froyo, Stay with V1.4. Or today I switched to DroidTh3ory 3.5.1 if you want to try GingerBread!
Both smooth and solid choices

Hey guys I've been looking to try another rom.
I've had gingerbeast, leedroid, miui, and now I'm on inspired ace.
I want a Rom the focuses on speed and stability. I want sense and I don't want force close issues. I've been looking at maybe trying virtuous unity, dilligafs sense Rom, or maybe ninja.
I want a Rom that has very few bugs and doesn't necessarily need to be updated all the time.
I should note that I'm very happy with inspired ace but I need more speed and hoping to find a Rom with stronger WiFi.
Eye candy is not a primary focus.
Which do you think should be my next Rom?

Try Ingersoll.
Fast, stable, near stock experience...performance with no bells and whistles.
Still one of my fav ROM's even though I'm running with the Beast currently.
I love virtuous unity 1.25. Auto CPU dameon, tweaked sense 3.0, stable fast and good battery life to boot.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I've most recently tried Virtuous and it looked good, but the audio (phone calls) sounded terrible. I'm not sure if I missed something, because I only flashed it to get a quick look at it. Maybe there was a fix in the OP or something specific to my device. Either way, I haven't heard other people with the issue and if I wanted Sense, that's what I'd want to run. Sense 3.0 is nice.
yea, i would like to try sense 3.0, so i think ill give virtuous a try
thanks for the feedback guys, ill revive my thread if i find it missing things i really want
I didn't see anyone recommend Android revolution. It's an optimized stock Rom. Very stable and doesn't update as often as others. Give it a try.

Ingersoll is pretty legit, I bounce from that to cm7, currently using Unity and It's pretty great except for battery drain and seems laggy at times and that could also be operator error

Virtuous
Sent from my Inspire 4G
I've run most every ROM, multiple times, for Sense, Virtuous Unity is the most trouble free. Lee, Core, Clear, AR, all had some issues for me.
For non-GB, Ingersoll is very, very good.
If you are having audio trouble on Virtuous Unity, it's most likely a kernel issue, not a Virtuous problem. Clear data, cach, dalvik and reflash. The audio is perfect on that ROM.
Might i ask where the audio fix is thanks

YOU would know best whats stable enough and lag free enough for YOU. im just quite the opposite. 3 weeks or so ago, i flashed the stock/rooted version of 4.0.3 ics. it was stable, fast, everything worked. i thought i was happy with it and stopped my daily flashing. last night i went back to crackflashing, cm9 kangs. the stock rom was apparently too stable for me. and it wasnt just because of withdrawal from crackflashing. i went back to daily crackflashing because it has become a lifestyle

the kangs/cm9 are getting better and better every day, almost. i left cm9 because the launcher was starting to bug me, it reloaded way too often. cm9 might have had a memory issue then. but, 2 days and 2 kangs later, not a single issue here. everything works just as it should. and its extremely quick and responsive, even with the trinity teuv undervolted/underclocked(880mhz) kernel that im using(but its gpu is overclocked).
So you would say that the kangs is better? If so, I'm gonna keep this cm9 and then flash in maybe two days.

I wouldn't say you should COMPLETELY trust the CM9 ROM over all. If I were you I'd run some more tests on which you like the most at the moment and stick to it, until CM9 is finally complete. I'm using an AOSP+ Neapolitan flavor build, it is incredibly smooth I recommend that. I know as soon as CM9 is finished I'm hopping onto that ROM in a heart beat though

Any stock based 2.1 rom will be the most stable and easiest to install. Gingerbread rock or killasense are extremly stable and great battery life with imo 5.2 gb sense kernel. Everything works perfectly on both roms. For me, aosp roms take too much effort to just get gps working. If i would have wanted stock android, i would have bought a different phone. I spend too much time with aosp making it look like sense.

I really like Sense but fell in love with LiquidSmooth. It's made me a fan of AOSP.
However, I also find it funny that out of like 7 responses there were 6 different ROMs mentioned. Kind of how it goes and just goes to show you that you'll have to try a few before you find one you like. If sense is what you want, try SOAB. AOSP, try Liquid Smooth. Then go from there...chances are you'll go back to one of those two I would think.

If you like Sense it's a great ROM. If you are impartial to Sense or don't like Sense then there is no reason to not run an AOSP ROM that I can think of. The performance and battery life on Sense ROMs don't even compare to that of AOSP ROMs on the TBolt.

Hello everyone.
I would like some feedback from people like me that are running v.i. 4.0.3 that have flashed the new cm9 4.0.4
Do you find it as good as v.i. any major bugs or antthing else i should know before i flash.
Thank you!
I was using VI for while but now I am sold on CM9. VI is basically geared for the people who wanted AOSP ICS but weren't content to use a buggy build like Quattro or TripNDroid. Now that it is getting pretty damn stable and we have BT and 1080p, I don't really see any reason to remain on VI if you're an AOSP-type guy.
Besides, it has a lot of extra features VI doesn't have.

I still use Senseless roms cause CM9 is only marginally faster and the AOSP camera is just terrible. You can't refocus video (yet?) while recording, so hopefully you're not recording any moving objects.

I installed thru 4EXT Recovery. Made sure I had the correct firmware, downloaded OpenSensation and the GAPPS (Google apps pack) placed both on my SD card. Backed up my current ROM. Wiped phone, data and dalvik cache. Flashed Opensensation, flashed GAPPS and rebooted phone. No problems so far. It is slightly more responsive and allows you to set your Ghz for speed or battery life. The AOSP camera does suck though...

Whilst I liked CM9 quite a lot, I agree with this statement.
I personally found CM9 smooth, but not quite as responsive as VI. And yes, the ICS camera app does not even get close to HQ camera in terms of quality.

I personally think CM9 is more responsive, no HTC bloatware added. The AOSP camera is slightly worse as it has the large grey margin on the side, but then again, I do like the Panorama function, the refocusing sound is also a lot better than the one on Sense
I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed after trying CM9. It is way slower than my Desire HD with CM7. CM7 is great, blazingly fast, and lets you put the launcher entirely in the RAM. There's close to zero possibilities yet, with CM9. Not many options for tweaking, etc.
The stability is horrible, too. I flashed it 30 minutes ago, and it has already crashed three times, even though I wiped everything before the flash.
Not quite fit for use, yet.
