as the title.
I'm using Desire S Gingerbread 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 {v0.7}
he said he added the CRT Animation
but why it doesn't work on my phone.
and an other question:how can i add items in the quik setting bar.
hope answers.
very thx.
Make sure you have window animation speed set to normal with spare parts. Changing it stops crt animation from working.

Does this apply to all ROMs, because I have window animation speed set to slow, and my CRT animations work fine (CM7).

Sorry that should read "may stop CRT animation from working."
It was a problem on certain ROMs I tried. Not all of them though.
low is ok too,
the problem is with high.

Anyone got a mod for just the CRT screen off? Don't like screen on as it fades in and doesn't look right
I am searching also just the "CRT Animation" when i Screen OFF with the button on the top of my phone.
And i don't want to install useless application like "Screen Off and Lock", or change my Rom.
A lot of people want too also, look here : [Q] CRT screen-off animation?
I did this yesterday.
All you need to do is replace the downanimation.zip file in /system/customize/resource with the CRT version.
I've attached it because I can't remember where I downloaded it from.

This is not what was requested.
Yours is when you shutdown the phone, he (and me ) want the crt animation when you just turn off the screen.
If you want an other DownAnimation with CRT, you can see this : [Downanaimation] HTC CRT
But as explain LittleH79, it is not what we expect.
I asked capychimp and he is going to look into it
It is a good news, i hope he will done it.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
That would be cool, add me to the list wanting to know how this is done then!
Only enable some window animations instead of all

I'm not sure if you are in the market for a new ROM but AOKP has this feature.
thanks the ROM is great!
I have one but it's on my "screen off" app. Out shows the old tv static for a second then crt animation off. Not for ON tho.

Is there any way to get a mod or a theme that would give AOSP Roms the page transition animation from TouchWiz? I love the way those transitions look. Out of all the things you cant bring to AOSP this seems like it would be fairly easy.

Yes you could but you would have to make some edits to the framework.jar or framework-res.apk file, first you would have to find the xml file where the transitions are located and then you would have to edit them to be as close to the TouchWiz transitions as possible it might also involve some smali editing. After you make the changes push the appropriate files you modified (I.E framework.jar or framework-res.apk), make sure they have the correct permissions, then test to see if the transitions work.
I don't think I'm capable of doing that. Lol.

I guess an easier way would be to find a home launcher that has a transition animation that comes close to the Touchwiz style transition animations.
Hey i been trying for a while to get googles stock ICS lockscreen on my rom im making.
So i tried to just rename the lg lockscreen with a .bak at the end (to just basicaly disable it) and i do get the ICS lock screen.
But i get a grey area at the bottom of my screen plus it has no background its just what i was on before i locked it.
Then i can also press the home key and it unlocks my phone so its pretty useless.
Does anyone know if there is an APK that i can overwrite my current lg lock screen with? Or a way to get the way i tried to work properly?
Thanks

just edit build.prop And change
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true
to
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
in the future Post in the General section Since the O3D does not have a Q&A section

Screenshot ?
Lol 0% progress no time lol been busy studying exams start next week hehe if i mod anything imma end up writing .smali code in the exam .
You Could try Change Density to 219 Makes the screen Look Bigger plus i could swear at that density the 3D is much clearer like the sweetspot has expanded then again i haven't used the 3D Function in a long time maybe it has always been like that
Pics below also disabling OSP gave me more free ram
Changing density might prevent some applications from playstore to install.(at least that used to happen in gingerbread)

That's what happened for me if I changed it on the build.prop myself. With a dpi editor app everything still shows up fine

AFAI Can tell 219 Everything work like it should
A whole bunch of categories and apps would disappear for me like a bunch of Google apps and such.
Sent from my LG-P925 using xda app-developers app
It doesnt happen immediately.
For example (if i remember well) some of the apps that weren't anymore available for me was dolphin browser, ulleese speedometer and a few others... dont remember most of them because i havent played with dpi for more than a year.
You will get a message from playstore telling you that the application is not available for your device (although it normally is).
Sorry about the long time to reply but here is the screenshot with the grey bar.

I would recommend against editing the dpi. For one, it breaks the Android CTS requirements ("Device implementations MUST use only displays with a single static configuration. That is, device implementations MUST NOT enable multiple screen configurations. For instance, since a typical television supports multiple resolutions such as 1080p, 720p, and so on, this configuration is not compatible with Android 2.3"), and furthermore as others have said it makes a bunch of apps from Google Play vanish.
Emmm lol what was the default DPI again I forgot
