Merge Call Bug - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I am on AT&T with the 9020a Radio KB3, stock and rooted and I am having the strange issue that when I try to merge calls, the original person on the call can hear me, but the 3rd caller can not hear either me or the original caller.
Has anyone experienced this issue. Any workaround?
I am on 2.3.4. I tried calling AT&T to see if this was a provisioning issue and they could not find anything wrong.
Thanks,

I'm still having this problem. Got a new SIM card and still it's going on. Any way to diagnose this?

Can't make outgoing calls. Baseband issue?

Hi, a friend gave me an old LG P500 phone to play around with. It had a stock ROM on it.
I put my SIM in, phone showed I have service but when I try to make calls it won't let me. It just disconnects in less than a second.
So I flashed a custom rom (GSNAP 1.5) to check if that might fix the issue. It didn't, exact same issue.
Phone shows it's connected to my service provider, DATA actually works but can't make outgoing calls.
Any speculations or help?
Thanks!
can you receive calls? if no then probably hardware issue.
Its network issue.. your phone is okay!!
Call network customer care!!
Well I didn't check if I can receive calls...
I don't really care that much as to call my customer service to get it to work. I have a working phone.
This is a friend's phone and he wanted me to get it working.
I guess I'll let him try it with his SIM card. Maybe his will work.
By the way, could it be that the phone might be network locked but it just doesn't say that for some reason?
Tried a different SIM card, didn't solve the issue. Same problem.
I'm not sure it's a service provider issue.
may try flashing the official rom using kdz . might be some issue with the libraries.
I flashed the official V20c with KDZ... Still a similar problem but now it shows a message when trying to make an outgoing call: "Divert Activated"

[Q] No calls possible despite maximal signal strength

Hi there,
I own a HTC One S for about a month and realized that sometimes (mostly daily) I cannot receive any calls or call anyone. To the people who are trying to call me my number is unavailable. When trying to call someone the call ends up with a short beep and nothing happens. The only way how to avoid this is to restart the phone. The strangest thing is that this happens with good/maximal signal strength!! Do you have any idea what might cause this problem? Do you think it could be caused by the Jelly Bean update or is it some kind of hardware issue? Thanks in advance! Greetings from Prague!

If you are inder wty i would exchange phone
Unless you are rooted and the rom is causing issues, you should have no phone issues
you could first try another sim and/or call carrier and see if they show any issues with your phone
also is it in only one area

S5 wont Ring on incoming calls?

I can do everything else on it. Text, Place calls, receive text and emails, surf the web. It won't ring calls are going to voicemail. I got a replacement phone from best buy. I have spent 2+ hours with sprint CS resetting and upgrading everything. I'm coming from a S4 that has been wiped.
Has anyone else had this issue? Fix?
Thanks
Phone is completely stock.
Have tried:
Battery Pull
Update Profile, PRL, System update
Did the ##72786# "refresh"
HELP!
Had the same issue where my phone wasn't ringing on calls received. The ##72786# refresh fixed it for me. Has not happened again.
Yeah, i thought maybe I was imagining it but i had like 2 calls go to voicemail from a roadside assistance company i was waiting for call from last night. Thought it was odd but now you say your experiencing it too.

It resets the provisioning on the phone and forces it to re-download the activation settings. Aka kinda like a re-provision.
I'm having the same problem, but only when connected to LTE. Have you tried turning off LTE and seeing if you can get calls? Maybe we have the same issue with our phones/area.
same issue
It's been a while so I assume you resolved the issue.
I have the same issue. Switch to CDMA fixes the issue but then I have no LTE. tried the phone reprovision code. It worked but then stopped working after 1 call.
Same stupid issue
I have this issue and would really appreciate it if someone could share the secret to getting incoming calls.
Issue is with the service provider. In my case Sprint. Turning off Wi-Fi calling and Wi-Fi helps but CDMA only mode for places where there's only 1 to 2 bars for LTE Spark is the solution for now. Call up your provider and let them know about your issue.

Unable to answer calls

My wife got a GS8 on release day and over the last week or so, an issue has started to pop up. She'll get a call and go to answer it, but when she does, it acts as if she declined the call. It seems like this only happens when people from other carriers or land lines call her. She also has noticed that when talking to some people, it will hang up on them at almost exactly the 8min mark on the call. When i call or people at the Sprint Stores call, it answers just fine. We've done a factory reset and that hasn't fixed anything.
Has anybody else experienced this issue, and if so, have you found a fix for it?
its an issue with the caller id app update. On one model I had to go into apps under settings and remove the old caller id app vers 1.????. then go into new caller id app vers 6.????? and clear its cache and memory. Then complete a reset prl and profile (for sprint phones). Finally reboot and issue was resolved.
Unable to receive calls on Sprint and S8 device

Verizon incoming call issue. Anybody else?

I am on Verizon and have CDMA-Less profile enabled. However, my incoming calls (and some outbound calls) are often not working. What i mean by this is that I hear the person on the other end of the line as garbled noise, not necessarily static, but more just jumbled electronic noises. The other person says I sound fine. Hanging up and calling back doesn't resolve the issue. If i voice call over Duo it works. Running latest 9.5.11 and the update still didn't solve the issue. This doesn't occur all of the time, but it is more often than not.
I see no one has replied and my reply won't be much help but let you know I've had my OP7 pro since release on Verizon with no issues at all after the CDMA less setting. Possibly toggle on and off the air plane mode after it happens and try the call back. Just a shot maybe.
Try calling Verizon and get them to sync the account. There might be some configuration error on the billing/technical side. I've seen this work for a couple people who described the same issue you are currently having.
Just an update. I went to Verizon and had a new SIM installed. Did a couple test calls using the phones there without issue. Attempted calling my wife and issue sprung up again calling her S10+. Tested calling their S10+ in the store without issue. Tried calling wife again and had the same problem.
Later went to another Verizon store and could not duplicate the problem, but switched her SIM card anyway.
Did a little research on the S10+ and it seems the problem may be related the phone set to Global vs. LTE/CDMA. Changed her setting to LTE/CDMA and haven't had the issue happen. Calls also seem to sound better too when i call her.
Very strange all around.
