I Just got the Infuse. Put in Sim and booted. Logged into gmail and then went to market. It WAS new. Went back to phone and looked around a bit. Then all of a sudden I could not get online...mkt or browser. Turned out needed new 4g sim and data plan. Did that and fine however, the new market is nowhere to be found now. It was there at first boot now nothing. I looked at version of mkt on rooted infuse froyo 2.2.1 vs. rooted captivate froyo 2.2. It seems that the same version of market is on infuse ...anyone know what happened ? I am trying to figure out how to possibly sign out of gmail then sign in again?? wondering if that will help...HELP.

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S2 from Swedish 3 Network.
Obviously the phone is bind to the carrier and I rooted the device and unlocked the SIM and bam! I got the phone working.
I wanted to test 3G Services from Vodafone and before I jumped on to that part something in between caught my attention..
Frimware update with Gingerbread 2.3.4.
Initially when I got the phone it was on PDA:XWKF4 PHONE: NEKF2 CSC: HTSKF1 with Gingerbread 2.3.3 with lengthy 3 Network boot loader.
The firmware that interested me is PDA:XWKI4 PHONE:XXKI1 CSC:Multi with Gingerbread 2.3.4. I flashed and the phone and it is back into sound operating mode without any hassles.
Now I decided to jump on to 3G testing part. I called Vodafone Care and they advised me to send an SMS to 144 mentioning ACT 3G which I did. I got a confirmation saying that 3G is active.
However, here comes the problem part. Whenever I turn Data Network mode all I see is "E" with up and down arrows. And when I go to Phone Settings -> About Phone -> Status -> Network Type it says Edge.
Am I missing anything here? To add ambiguity I didn't test 3G with the previous version of firmware. One thing I'm sure about is 3G worked on this phone before on 3 Network.
Any inputs greatly appreciated..

My problem resolved..
I flashed my SGS2 with below firmware combination:
PDA:ZSKI3 (Hong Kong)
PHONE:XXKI3 (Hong Kong)
CSC:INU(India Localization)
And now I have H+/3G whenever I turn on Data Network Mode.
At last.. I'm at peace.. Device fully functional..

I too am having issues connecting to the 3G network of Vodafone in India. My SGS2 is from AT&T and I was able to root it & unlock it and its works fine with the call and other stuff. I flashed the UnNmaed v1.0.4 ROM and its been pretty stable.
I looked up at the CSC code on my phone by dialing in *#272*<your IMEI># and its shows as ATT. Can you please enlighten me on how to change the CSC to INU like yours so that I can access the 3G network here.

I'm running an SG 2 I bought in Mumbai about 6 months ago with the following stock firmware -
PDA: KE8
Phone: KE2
CSC: INU
Gingerbread 2.3.3
I activated 3G on Vodafone a few days ago and they insist its active from their end. Been thru the manual settings routine and restarted the phone a dozen times, but it refuses to latch onto 3G. Data works, but only EDGE, like you've mentioned in your original post (the E with the 2 arrows).
Any suggestions how I can get on to 3G? This is frustrating, and I'm positively a noob as far as rooting/flashing ROMS etc goes.

First time poster, long time follower!!
I'm hoping someone can help me here because i have a real headache with my galaxy s2.
When i got it at Christmas everything was perfect. But two weeks later i suddenly lost my 3g. Phone works fine on 2g (except for the slow speed), but i contacted my carrier 3Ireland and they said everything is fine on their end. My APN is perfect, i've tried toggling airplane mode, entering codes, data package checks. You name it and i've tried it.
When i force my phone to select 3g it looses all signal and i have to restart my phone and quickly go back into settings to choose 2g or i will loose signal again.
This is the following on my phone.
Android version 2.3.5
Baseband version I9100XXKI4
Kernel Version [email protected] #2
Build number GINGERBREAD.XWKI8
I've being reading about modem/radios lately, is that just the baseband? Could that be my problem. I'm a noob at this kinda thing.I just want my 3g to come back.

So I got an exhibit 4g the other week, and yesterday all of a sudden in went into ramdump mode...took my battery out for 30 seconds like the idiots at tmobile said to do and now when I go to turn it on, it gets stuck at the screen that said: samsung exhibit 4g tmobile, and then turns off....i did some research and tried doing an odin flash of the stock firmware (I am familiar with Odin from the galaxy s 4g) but still the same thing happens. What's even more strange is when I try and throw the phone into recovery mode, it just shuts off as well!! Any help on where to go from here would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks!
I have no idea what I did. Just got my infuse, flashed to GingerBread and then flashed a kernal with CWM. I then flashed an ICS kernal to flash CM10. I got CM10 flashed and everything was working perfect. And then about 4 hours into using my phone my data and cell service shuts off. Also it shows bars like I have service but it wont send or receive calls or texts. Theres no H or 3/4g icon either. Im not in airplane mode, mobile data is ticked on. I flashed back to stock GB and its stilling doing the same thing.... anyone have any idea what is going on here? How could my radio just stop working .... Please help me out!
EDIT- alright wtf i tried to call someone and it says" your device has been blocked from network use " ...... I think I found the issue time to call up ATT

Maybe att is down/working on tours in your area??? I'm really kinda clueless my self since you said you went back to stock and still had the same problem...
Go to settings, about phone, status and check and make sure your imei still looks normal
Could also maybe be a hardware failure?

i was scared that my imei was going to be blank but it looks normal im on the phone with them now and they said my phone number was suspended temp. apparently the phone i bought on CL was stolen but they dont even have the IMEI for my infuse .... they said im still using my atrix 2 .... what the **** .. Man im really pissed
EDIT - ugh what the hell the phone was reported stolen so my number is black listed for 24 hours and ATT is investigating it to see if i can use the phone . Today is one bad day ... shouldve just bought a nexus from google .
Get Google Voice and set it up on you PC. Select a new number and then get an app like Talkatone and continue on without AT&T.
Greetings: I recently purchase a used Samsung Exhilarate on Ebay to replace a dropped Samsung Captivate. I used Kies to update to ICS. All appeared to go well until I left the house. Without a wifi connection, only the phone and messaging work. No internet....No email. Everything appears to be set correctly. Any thoughts? Thanks, JS
