It looks like the 3rd result is a HOW-TO (it is titled that anyway). So I am off to read this! I'll let you know what happens later.
I still need to know if flashing this mod will wipeout my matted blue theme!

it doesnt matter if its froyo or eclair, or what rom you are on....heck it almost doesnt matter what PHONE you are on. deodexing is the same process across the board

That I know / understand now! So, won't have that question anymore. In the adb shell command I see it is referring to ext3. I flashed voodoo lagfix injected kernel and somewhere I read it changes it to ext4 or something like that ..is it something I need to watch at least or it doesn't matter too! Also, do you know any other method to deodex? Like through a root app...

why go through all the trouble? just flash a custom rom like cognition....its just like stock with some mods like power button menu and lockscreens....

Yeah I agree with you! The cognition 4.1.1 has the same touchwiz UI..I mean pinch to preview screens and app drawer?

If you have read the first post completely, I know how to flash it. Its maybe something on with my phone just need to confirm and maybe I had flashed with some problems so I need to recheck and also learn.

I did the same thing using Camtasia. Then I realized the guide is useless because people want to see the phone's reaction and what happens. They already know what Odin's job is :\

i already converted to the Sense 3.0 mms. this is in RC2
that RUU that is linked in that thread is the exact same RUU this rom is based on.
i dont have the problem any more, so it makes it kind of hard to troubleshoot or fix something i dont have...

havent really given it much thought. thats far down on my list. i am struggling with some smali edits that are driving me crazy....
isnt it fairly easy to add afterward? didnt they make a flashable zip of the daemon+app for it? i dont really keep up with whats going on with that team...

you would have to replace the png files in /system/framework/framework-res.apk with ones that dont have the %

There is NOTHING you can do right now to get CM7. It doesn't exist for this phone regardless of what version you are currently on. It's just not there.

Step one, search for the gb starter pack, fbis251 was the op in that thread. follow it to the t.
Then, use odin to flash bhundvens kj6 kernel with voodoo and cwm
Now read around and learn to flash via cwm.
Lastly Install valhalla final either regular or black version (i like black imo)
Please, before you continue, and no I'm not discrediting you, i know this has been said before and i have no way to know if you have or not, but read all the stickies in our forums here, they really are helpful

And just because a phone it's listed as compatible, it don't mean that it's gonna work... I believe there is some work to get cm on this phone since only in November did Samsung release the source.

Why doesn't anyone say "Install valhalla final, valhalla black,""or AOSP Style"""
AOSP Style is a lot better and it has all the features as well as more than valhalla or valhalla black.

If you're on GB then you can simply extract the AllShare.apk from a ROM that has it or go in one of lumins thing and look for the APK. IF it fails to install try pushing it and fixing permissions. It will most likely fail because it has Samsung proprietary stuff so just follow Lumins guide if nothing goes into plan.
If it doesn't work at all then I'm sorry, it might need other proprietary stuff like Swype.

I know how to do that is just that alm the links for the old roms containing this app I want are dead, that's why I was asking for the apk .

check lumins links in his signature I think he has a link to the gb 2.3.6 repository which should have the allshare app.

I had to flash back to stock, and I remembered this thread, lucky you.
so... here is the apk, not sure it will work because is may have dependencies, but try it out.
apk does not say AllShare, but the icon matches the app in the drawer.
if it won't install, push it to the system\apps folder with a root file explorer.

Just curious, did it install or did you have to push it?
I was afraid that would be the case. It most likely has touchwiz and other proprietary Samsung files it depends on. Possibly even the kernel like wifi calling.

You can see in logcat when an apk won't install because it is missing something -- and it will usually say what. I've seen clear logcat indications that TW libraries are what is missing on Memo.apk, for example.
