I've tried deleting this file using my Laptop and get this error- Handy SMS could not be deleted. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.
I didnt like the app because it was very slow to open.

I've reflashed with the same ROM again and did a RESET but still I keep getting the same error message.
Can someone please help me import my contacts and dont get this error message anymore.

I'm not sure how you stop what sounds like a ROM issue, but I can help you get around it for now.
Transfer your contacts from your SD card onto your PC. (.vcf format I assume?)
The open your web browser and log onto your Gmail. Select Contacts from the menu of the left. Click on the 'More' tab across the top, and select 'import...'
Point the pop-up at the files you transfered to your PC, and now they are imported as Google Contacts.
Now each time you flash a new ROM and sign in to your Gmail account, the contacts will be pulled down from your account and you wont need to keep copying them to your phone from your SD card.
I dont think its a ROm issue.....cos before flashing with Desire S Gingerbread 2.3.5 I was running on RCMix 2.5 and I did not have any such problem with RCMIx Rom......it was only after flashing with Desire S Gingerbread 2.3.5 that I'm getting this error message. So I thought I'll switch back to RCMix and I made a clean wipe and cleared the cache and flashed my phone with RCMix and now I'm getting the same error message even with this RCMix which was working absolutely fine earlier..........
Can someone please hel me solve this problem.

This began for me after installing Google + 2.0 .. after deleting the data and Uninstalling Google + 2.0 everything works again correctly
I think this thread is done with the work.. So better put a [SOLVED] infront of thread name
Had the exact same problem. Uninstalling Google+ solved the problem. Thanks for the tip.
I too had the process com.android.htccontacts issue, tried messing about uninstalling Google+, removing Account Sync's and re-syncing ... Still broken
... FIXED - I did a Titanium restore PEOPLE (com.android.htccontacts) from an old backup, flashed only the data over (the data in this file doesn't actually contain the contacts, that appears to be in a different area)
but whatever it was that got corrupt was fixed ...
Hope this helps
Hey everyone. I'm running Torch's Godzilla ROM on an LG Optimus V. Everytime I restore/update from the ROM, and restore the apps I've downloaded, I end up getting a package file is invalid after a while. I've done the format cache option in recovery and I was able to download one app that had that message, but then other apps I want to get are messed up. If anyone knows a way to rid of this that would be great.
Hy. My name is Steven. Yesterday i bought an Lg L Fino d290. I rooted it with purpledrake and i installed Titanium Backup. I restored some backups from my old phone (an Chinese one : Colorovo City Tone Vision). I restored Contact storage, Phone storage and some other apps. After I rebooted the phone an error pops up "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped". I tapped on "ok" and imediately it apeared again. I pressed ok again and still apeared again and again. I freaked out and i realised what I've done.. Then i delelted all app chache and rebooted the phone. Nthing changed. I entered in stock recovery mode ( i can't install cwm on my phone) and i whiped all data and cache. I rebooted the phone and nothing changed. The error dialogue is still there. I tryed to install Titanium Backup again to see what i can do but it didn't work because the error message poped up contiously. Even if i install the app from Magazine Play or from an apk file it doesn;t work. i have adb connection but not many commands are working. for example install.. I don't know what to do.. the phone keep showing me the error with and without the sim card. I can open the phone app and the contacts but i can't open the message app. Please help me. What shoul I do? I knnow i dit something wrong..
Hi,
Yes, installing system files from a different devices is not a good idea. It is almost guaranteed you will have bad issues.
Unfortunately I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device, other than trying LG's site for your exact devices firmware. And flashing instructions.
If you have trouble or future questions/issues, This is where to ask for help with that device,

Good luck!
Installed Lollipop on stock Sprint S-5 from kitkat and now I'm getting this error message. Unfortunately, system UI has stopped. Also getting a similar message for an a "smart watch" app installed. Unfortunately, Smart Watch has stopped.
Deleted the cache yesterday, and still getting the error message.
Any ideas?
Also, I'm a little vague on the BT Notification issue relative to a smart watch, I'm guessing you can only "push" to the watch what the watch program is capable of notifying? Anything else would be pretty pointless?
Thanks,
Did you take the OTA or did you flash a rom? Sometimes a factory reset after updating through OTA is the only way to squash bugs. Please provide more info.

I would almost try and flash the full OA6 tar file. That's the best way to start fresh.
I agree
Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply, I read up a little on flashing this phone. I'm not sure if this isn't over my head. Haven't messed with phones much, rooting etc. Just computers.
How bad can I screw this up?
Most of the time anything is recoverable. All you need is Odin, the correct tar file, and a little reading.

That will erase your internal storage so back anything up you want to keep.
This is probably caused by an app's notification crossing path with "system ui"
This problem occurs during loading of notification.
To fix this problem:
1. go to "settings ~ notification manager"
2.click "menu", then "Restrict all"
3.now reboot phone, the msg should go away
4.now open up half of the "Restrict all" to "Allow"
5.now you know which half is causing the problem
6.and so on, half of half again, like binary search
7.until you located the problem app, remove it
