Hey guys, this is my first post.
I would like to know if there is a way to overclock the Nexus One, running OS 2.1-update1 on Sense UI (MoDaCo, I believe).
I recently rooted it so that I could get Sense, but I noticed that my MFLOPS rating dropped from about 32 to 6 now.
I'm just wondering if there is a kernel out there whichh would let me overclock it to about 1.4 (I saw this number in the comments section of setCPU in the market).
Please get back to me soon so that I can resolve this.
ONE MORE NOTE: I heard that there is a way to download setCPU for free somewhere in XDA, but I couldn't find it. Anyone know of a link?

Can anybody built somenthig for this kind of CPU?
A lot of people we've chinese cell phones with Android and MTK cpu (I've MTK6515), and after rooted it, its impossible to overclock with any Overclocking aplication, or install a Recovery, or install a ROM.
I need your help, because I think we're many with China cell phones and china tablets who are in the same situation.

Yeah , i have the same problem ( star a5000 with mtk6516 platform) . I rooted it with Z4root app and installed setcpu but i cant overclock it . Any ideas ?????
Usually overclocking requires a kernal which has been modified from stock. If you don't have a kernal with OC frequencies added in, then setcpu (or similar app) will not be able to access higher frequencies than the stock ones.

i have an A5000 GBA emu runs great but NES, GBC & SNES emus run like crap, someone knows to solve it? also angry birds looks awful, the procesor isnt so slow at least reading the specs that said it has about 415 mhz, maybe the firmware was the cheap thing...

Well there is a LOT of people buying from china these days and I am one of them.
The MTK6515 in in my h7000 and Im starting to experiment with it, about to root it and so on, but lets face it this processor REALLY SUCKS bad time.
I belive there is some way to improve performance via OC but really doubt it will be much of a diference as some one said, it really strugles to run angry birds at its lowest resolution.
WE NEED SOME HELP jajaja but Im fairly hapy with my chinese HD7 jajaja

I also bought a phone with MTK6516 CPU running Android 2.2 then i rooted it by UniversalAndRoot, also installed Busybox and it works great but any mod ROM could be installed neither any OC performed. Also now I see newer phones on the web with same CPU running OS Android 2.3 so.... it's possible an upgrade!!!
The problem is how to do it?!?
Can someone of you skilled guys help us "china-droid" users???

Tomorrow I will be buying an Infuse and have the full intention of running Infused 4.5 on it within an hour of getting it. I currently have an Atrix 4G and after looking at the Android Market online...I can't help but feel that my device is neutered in terms of the games available to it. Below is a short list that can NOT be accessed via the Atrix:
- ANYTHING that needs sideloading
- Order and Chaos Online
- Nova 2
- Asphalt 5 and 6
- Any Gameloft game not on the market
- Worms
- The Sims 3
- Need for Speed Shift (Even though a demo COMES WITH THE PHONE!)
Those are only to name a few. When I get my Infuse tomorrow, will I have this problem with the Infused ROM?
Also, why are the games not "compatible" with the Atrix 4G yet are for the Inspire...a phone that can't touch the Atrix with regards to specs?

nothing else you listed was on my market.
you CAN turn on sideloading on a stock infuse and install the amazon market or whatever. (didn't check on the amazon market for those games)
Pretty sure the custom roms have an unbranded market. Anyone wanna check on these games for him?
Edit: I do see The Sims 3 (at least) if I go into airplane mode and then turn on wifi while still in airplane mode (I get an unbranded market)

I read somwhere that Gameloft will only be releasing games for iOS.
EDIT: My bad. Looks like Gameloft is just boycotting the Android Market for whatever reason. You can go to Gameloft.com and download games.
The best option is to never by at&t branded phone. I'm just waiting for sg 3..
Or use MarketEnabler and spoof VZW or Tmo

I bought Madden 12 for my Flashback 7.2 Honeycomb Gtablet.
It installed properly but then it wanted to download an additional 300MB of content. At that point, it said it was not supported on my device.
I got a refund from the Apps Store.
I wanted madden 12 but didn't see it I guess because im running laurel mountain. Bummer I really wanted a football game
It should work on anything 2.1+ I got the same problem as above and currently have a trouble ticket out with EA Sports. If you go to the EA site, Madden 12 is not even listed as an android game, only iPad/iPhone/Touch... Very frustrating.
Cant find where I read that it does not work on Tegra devices. I also downloaded it to my Evo and ti works fine but a black screen on the Gtbalet. Oh Well.
hmm... seems there are two different versions.
One is "compatible" and runs up until the download is required, the other is not compatible for some reason. I'm not sure what the difference might be since they both read exactly the same.
I thought EA Sports turned out quality stuff. This smells and tastes like junk.
I managed to get the game installed. It is just a black screen when you run it. I tapped on the screen everywhere and the played a game but graphics were really messed up and it ran choppy. So its not for tegra 2. Too bad there wasn't an emulator that could run it on T2 devices

i too can't get it to run on my gtab but it does run on my photon 4g so tegra devices isn't an issue. think it just may be because it is not supported on the tab. perhaps a build prop change would work?
This works now! The updated version works very well with my gtab, especially when I bump the clock to 1.4Ghz. :-D

Hello, I was wondering how to change the processor to one that has a speed of at least 1.3 GHZ.
I was trying to overclock it and get cyagenmod 9 but, when I had problems rooting, even with expert help, it was a no-go. So I am wondering if I am able to do this?
