i noticed the second doesn't have speaker holes so not sure what it would be like and i was wondering has any1 tried it and how they thought how good or bad these case where? thanks in advance
not yet, but yes they do look really good.
we have sooo many choices for silicon style cases, that is a good thing
I have this one:
iTALKonline ProGel BLACK Super Hydro Gel Protective Armour
(look in amazon.co.uk, it seems I still can't post outside links)
I like it but the side buttons are a really hard to press. Almost impossible to adjust the volume with one hand while on the phone.
Now the first one you posted looks really nice. It seems to cover the side buttons as well but I like it.

This one is great, I have a transparent one.
i've seen those on ebay, we have a link of that on the Case topic
Just don't buy these cheap case. Side buttons are not usable, it's just waste of money. It's better to add a 10£ extra and get a quality one.

Yesterday i bought the official DHD case from a HTC Outlet and my am i amazed,
Its sleek and amazing.
Best 10£ ive ever spent XD, but im looking for a stylus for it , where can i get one?
Why would you want to use a stylus with a DHD? Its big enough to use with the thickest of fingers
only reason is im a keen drawer and i have things like Sketchbook mobile etc on it, and for a drawing to look really good , precision is the best thing i can get for it, my fingers are thin but really get in the way if you want fine detail,
but granted you do have a point
I have the official HTC DHD case but got sick of taking the phone out of it all the time, luckily my bro bought me the Case-Mate Tough which is a lot less hassle.

I see, well there is that HTC capacitive screen stylus from when the HD2 came out which the last time I looked was on expansys.com probably get it cheaper elsewhere though.
This is it but its just like using your finger as you can see.

I have one of the pogo sketch which I used for my ipod touch, but drawing on autodesk sketchbook with my DHD was a problem because some how the screen doesn't detect my stoke as a single line (ie. it was broken down into few segments) and it is impossible to use it.
Hi,
I bought the same case - it's great! I don't use it all the time, only when I know the DHD needs protection from things like my keys.
I've tried silicon cases and those slimmer cases but nothing is quite as nice as the "naked" DHD
Purchased the same case a day after I got my HD - been an absolute life saver, only issues is it does get lose after months of use... be careful whipping your phone out of your pocket!
I have been using mine for about a month now (maybe more?) and it is still a good fit. The cardboard that stiffens the case has gotten a bit softer so the case flexes a fair bit more than it used to, but this hasn't impacted on the performance of the case.
Still a great buy!
This case looks pretty decent. They have 6 different colors too
scroll down on the site to see the other colors

Yeah, I wish there were more cases out there for the G2.
this case looks freakin awesome
It is cheap plastic and looks bad in nature. I got two of them. Ebay sells them as metallic back plates. Pure crap.
doesnt look half bad but i wouldnt buy from a place called "chinagrabber"
It does look nice, I just wanted to mention I used to work at a place that sold cell phone accessories (cheap ones like what's on ebay, etc) and we had these for the iPhone 4. For that at least they were not so nice plastic things that didn't feel great and broke easily taking the phone in and out. These may be different though!
I have the black one on my phone and my girl has the pink one. Got them both off ebay. Its not really metal on the back, but it has protected my phone MORE than a few times and is still looking good. I think its worth the price. Looks good and its not too bulky either.
I got a guy tomorrow whose willing to do a straight swap, his great condition One S for my great condition Galaxy Nexus.
Since purchasing the Nexus a week ago, I've been annoyed severely by the yellow tint of the screen, 720p or not. I saw a demo model of the One S at a local retailer and the white's were much better then that of the G-Nex.
So what do you guys think, even trade, should I pull the trigger?
(Apologies for posting this both here and in general, Mods, please delete this thread as it is a duplicate)
Thanks.
do it !! if you dont like the nexus and you do like the one s, its a no brainer lol
and if its a straight swop with no money involved, you got nothing to lose really
Exactly, I would do it as well! There's no reason not to do it. But check the phone in detail and pay attention to
- coating (if it's the black one)
- display color from different pov, there are displays out there providing a whole rainbow
- sim cover (sometime there not fixed well)
Overall the One S is the superior phone.
I would..I love this phone. Gotta sari probably the best phone I have ever owned

i went back to my galaxy nexus, mainly due to the lack of AOSP options on the one-s right now. once there are some more ROMS available i will probably start using the One more often.
I made the trade, and I'm so happy I did, the One S is gorgeous! Man the device is so thin, such a pleasure to hold in the hand, and feels solid. As odd as it sounds, it made the Nexus feel thick and heavy! I'm also very happy with Sense over ICS, it's really a treat to use and finally, yes, finally, I've bought a phone that I can actually keep for the next year! I've gone through so many devices in the past 6 months it's made my head spin. This is the "One", as fitting as that sounds. Now, time to Zagg up the entire phone!

Glad you made the right choice just about zagg... I am not sure invisible shield is a good choice on this phone. What colour is yours BTW? I have seen a picture in the accessory threads that it looks awful with zagg. Just a simple tpu is the best I believe.

Thank you, I'm glad too. I never was quite able to warm up to the Nexus. Going from the Amaze, to the SGS2, to the Nexus, to the One S has been anything but fun, but ultimately, I've made the right decision in terms of the S having everything I desire and then some.
It's the grey version with the blue camera lining. Not sure what color this is. But it's really amazing feeling quality, I mean, I've never held a phone that felt this good in my life. It's also in mint condition, which is why I wanted to Zagg it up to ensure it stays that way. So you're suggesting not to use Zagg. Do you know of any other full body protectors that would be compatible? It's definitely something I want to do as soon as possible.
Thanks again for your help.

Totally agree with you. The phone is amazing, but the lack of AOSP is a killer. Hopefully things pick up next month.

I don't know other full body protector other than Zagg. Was wanting to get zagg for my grey one s as well cos had it on my wife's iPhone and it was not bad. But since there are two pieces on the back of one s it looks bad IMO with invisible shield being split into two.
I would suggest a case or the clear hard shell but the latter does not cover top and bottom so don't drop the phone.

I found a store (cart) in my local city Galleria called "Gadget Guard" that has a great full phone body protector. It doesn't covery the camera's, or speaker grills, and fits pretty good. The protector is also very durable and less "bumpy" over Zagg. It's smooth and feels natural. It also has a lifetime warranty which is great, so if it ever bubbles up or tears, they'll replace it for free.
The only problem is, I can't put a case over it because it might adjust and alter the protector. So that's a downfall, but otherwise, the entire phone is completely protected and it looks quite elegant imo.
Zagg has good and bad, I think. I had a screen protector on my sensation that I thought was better than zagg. Smooth and not so bumpy. And the plastic was like half as thin as a zagg shield. Personally, I have the skull candy case for my One S and am going sans screen protector. If i can think of the name of the screen protector that I prefer over Zagg, I'll let you know.
Edit:
I think this was the screen protector for my sensation:

I actually went to my local Mall and got a Gadget Guard installed on the entire phone. The lady who was installing it did a really good job, no bubbles AT ALL, no dust particles, and it goes all around the phone without compromising the camera, speaker grills, and is as tight fitted as can be without the ridges that Zagg sometimes causes. Plus it's great on detracting fingerprints.
Overall happy with it. Overall happy all together that I traded my G-Nexus for this amazing device (no disrespect to the HTC Amaze ). I'm one of the people who enjoy Sense and 4.0 on top of ICS has been a significant upgrade over 3.0 over GB. I'm still on the fence with rooting/installing a rom, but I do so with every phone I've owned so I'm sure the One S won't be any different. I'm just enjoying the stock experience so much as is.
Thanks again for your help.
To be honest, I think I am going to go to the mall today to put the screen protector on it as well. I may have found the store in Minnesota where I live. But ironically, I have been debating on going to the galaxy nexus from the One S, lol. The draw for me is the slightly larger screen and where the headphone jack and micro usb port are located. I like that they are on the bottom.

The guy who traded his One S for my Galaxy Nexus was very happy. He had every intention to trade and figured it was an equal deal, I agreed.
It's all a matter of taste, if you like the bigger screen, higher res, stock ICS with quicker updates, Nexus it is.
If you prefer a somewhat smaller, but just as vibrant screen, better processor, better camera, better speaker, go with the One S.
Both have their advantages and both are great, I just think I had a somewhat defective Galaxy Nexus unit with a really awful blue/yellow tint issue with the screen. My eyes were never able to get used to it no matter how much I tried. And I've had a Galaxy S2, which was perfectly fine and vibrant to the core. But the Nexus' white's were just totally and completely off. It's like someone put a blueish yellowish filter screen on top of the phone prior to shipping.
I flashed Franco.Kernel to change the Gamma and RGB levels, but nothing, and I mean nothing helped. I tried every single possible combination, and it was always off.
I found a case with code HC C740 in a shop in my country...ordered after looking on many sites and pictures with that case...I also found an youtube video about this case..received today....WOW!...AWESOME!...superb finish, personally i think that is the nearest finish to the original...I will post some pictures later, when I`ll be at home...I think that is the best and beautifull case for our lovely device.
Edit: I have the black version of OneS.
skodann do you have any pics of the case on your phone?

I just saw it today in the store, it was a black one.
The kickstand didn't feel too sturdy and the case was a bit bulky, however, I thought it added some substance to the phone being it's almost too thin.

Do you mean this one: http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-one-s-hc-v741-hard-shell-with-cover-and-stand-black
It's the one I got with the phone and from the looks of it, it's actually the same hardshell as the C740, but with an added leather cover for the screen which can also be folded over to use as a stand. Excellent quality and really like it. Two niggly things to note with it are you can't have it plugged in while using it as a stand, and as the leather on the outside is facing whatever surface you have it on while using it as a stand, it can slide about quite easily when trying to use the phone on smooth surfaces (to be clear this is when trying to interact with the screen - e.g typing - not while it is just sitting playing a video). Both minor points for me, and I would recommend this case over just the hardshell due to the screen protection and stand function.
tl:dr version
+excellent htc quality
+screen protection
+stand
+doesn't add much bulk
-can't charge while using it as stand
-can move about on smooth surfaces when using as a stand
i think these are the cases that some are looking for, but they don't seem to be available yet.
I saw those original case and the kickstand in a mall in Toronto !!

I bought the Original HTC Clear-Hardcase and Screen Protector yesterday.
For each I paid 11,99€ which is f*n expensive in my opinion, but I think its well worth it to have original accessories on my baby.
( Original ) Screen Protector
I know this is not the thread for this, but I´ll show it anyway
HTC Clear-Hardcase
Both Products are Tripple-A Quality.
The Screen-Protector Package includes 2 "films". If applied correctly you wont every recognize that theres something on the screen ( like on the photo above ).
I also really like the Hardcase, the only problem with this is that its a little slippery on smooth surfaces.
EDIT:
Both Images are a little bit out-of-focus, since I used a 50mm Objective to take those.
I can take new pictures with another one, if requested.
I got the black case the day after I got my phone, around 5 weeks ago. The finish feels very similar to the black phone itself, with the colour matching.
The case is very slim, and you really wouldn't notice it was there. It adds no real extra size to the phone.
My only small issue with the case is that the top and bottom of the phone are exposed still. I'd prefer a little more coverage, but overall, the case is pretty awesome.
looks a LOT like my case
