Ok because i have been using Android Revolution HD™ 3.0.3 that mike1986 until i finish building aosp rom and i supercid my sensation and not having wifi calling kinda was making it hard for me because i have like no service in my home. So i have made a generic patch so it should work on all sensation roms
Note: This will work on all sensation's and all sensation sense roms 2.3.4 and 2.3.3 but it will change the build.prop to the stock t-mobile one if you made any previous changes to it.
To Install
1. Download wifi calling patch from link on here or Rom manager
2. Boot into recovery (Hold volume down and press power)
3. Select recovery
4. Install Zip from SD Card, and select Wifi-Calling_Patch.zip
5. Boot into rom
6. Enjoy

I don't know what this is for... I super cid payphone when I got it and WiFi calling works...what problem does this fix exactly. I am just curious....
Running LeeDROiD Sensational V2.3.0 with LeeDrOiD TMO-US WiFi Calling pack V2.3.0, was having no success in getting it to work (my house has poor reception, so I use it primarily for texting and occasionally calls).
Tossed this patch on, and Wi-Fi Calling is now working properly. Although I'd almost swear it's an older version. Instead of telling me that it will use plan minutes, it says that it "may use minutes with certain plans", which I thought was a fact of way back when certain plans could actually use Wi-Fi Calling without using plan minutes? Oh well, none of that matters to me (as it was surely using my plan minutes either way), I'm just glad it's working now.
Thank you very much
No, it's the truth, those with the More and Even More post paid plans can have the option for free wifi calling. Just call them and ask about it, though for me they played dumb for a while, until I realized I don't have a more and even more plan. Whatever that means.
If I recall correctly (I'm only a recent T-Mobile user, but I've been working with the phones in general for a while), the More and Even More plans were promotional plans that they offered a little while back. Something like $80 for unlimited everything (including 4G), although they quietly throttled at 2GB I believe (before they released the current tiered data plans that actually mentioned the throttling).
So yeah, I suppose some people can take advantage of free Wi-Fi calling, but only if you were lucky enough to get onto one of those plans. I'm not sure if there's any way to get them to put you on one of those now. I suppose just about anything is possible if you talk to the right person though, eh?
ok, i have the even more plus plan with "unlimited" data. was using this before all this 4g stuff came about. yes, for even more + plans our wifi calling is free( even tho the text up there says it uses minutes, it doesn't). when the 4g stuff rolled out and all this cap stuff, my "unlimited" 4g data is now throttled at 5gb, which is pretty awesome.
as i use this feature when im at home as my signal sometimes in my room aint that good
and now that the merger mite not even go thru im super excited
Any idea which build.prop values are needed by WiFi Calling? For those who would rather tweak the build.prop in their favorite customized ROM instead of having to use the stock T-Mobile one.

+1. I would love to know this too and how to increase the mic gain for the WIFI Calling app. Outgoing voice is just too low.

Code:

That line should do it i believe. Remember to leave a break space at the end of your build.prop.

This flashable patch has the following in its build.prop in that section.
Code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
# RilLibPath for Ganlite by Godel_Chen
rild.libpath.ganlite=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
I'm using EnergyROM which has the following in its build.prop and people who use this patch having removed the build.prop, so they keep EnergyROM's customized build.prop say WiFi calling won't work.
Code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
# RilLibPath for Ganlite by Godel_Chen
rild.libpath.ganlite=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
Same thing, but neither has the value as you mentioned, each has it slightly different.
But people using EnergyROM say this patch works if they use all of its included build.prop values. So I can't figure out what could be causing the issue. I do know that EnergyROM's build.prop makes no mention of "tmobile" anywhere in it. While the build.prop in the patch has a lot of mentions of "tmobile" in various places. Could the issue be mentions of "tmobile" in some areas of the file?
How can I raise volume on wifi calling outgoing volume too low!

Thank you for testing with EnergyROM.
Since you use a different build.prop from EnergyROM and have many tweaks in build.prop for Android Revolution HD. Is is possible/likely that some EnergyROM tweaks are lost when this patch is used with EnergyROM?

Yes, I think he did, because the EnergyROM build.prop includes:
Code:
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = true
Yours has that value set to false.
So setting it to "true" in yours would yeild the same effect right?
I don't know much about this, but just figuring that's the case from the differences I saw in the files.

Great!
I had another question about build.prop if you could enlighten me .
If a build.prop file happend to have
Code:
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = true
and later in that same build.prop file it had:
Code:
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = false
Would Android recognize the last mention of it and set the feature to false or would it only recognize the first mention and set it to true?
Thank you again .

OK. Just wondering. I figured maybe the last value too.
Some EnergyROM users were copy/pasting all of EnergyROM's build.prop into yours and it all worked. So I guess they got the EnergyROM values plus any new stuff yours had.
Did you know your build.prop has this in it:
(Lines 180-181)
Code:
ro.setupwizard.mode=DISABLED
ro.setupwizard.mode=OPTIONAL
Like first it's disabled and then optional .

This ROM is based off DamageControlv2.08.1 and is designed for NON-Sprint CDMA Hero's
As most of you know, NON-Sprint CDMA Hero users can NOT flash the newest Sprint leak due to the auto PRI feature, the Hands Free Activation pop-ups, and the data call failure error, so I have made this possible and safe by modding DamageControl V2.08.1 a little.
This is the BEST ROM for NON-Sprint CDMA HTC Hero users to enjoy the benefits and features of 2.1 and all the fixes of the new Sprint leak with NO Errors or problems!
ALL Mods that work on DamageControl v2.08 or Fresh 2.0d will work on this ROM! Including the Vanilla Lockscreen by Flipz, Expresso, etc.
Features:
All Market Apps are showing (Will change if reported other wise - Thanks Flipz)
MNS (Internet Tethering) WORKING!
ALL LEDs WORKING (Including Trackball)
Removed all Sprint Apps
Syncs with no problems
Removed IM from menu and Gtalk still works!!!
Hands Free Activation error pop-up is now GONE
Does NOT mess up your current PRI (No matter what carrier)
Fixes "Data Call Failure" error on all carriers!
ALL Mods/Themes/Lockscreens etc that work on DamageControl work with this ROM!
LiveWallpapers has been removed, you can download it here ----> LWPS
(Just flash this in recovery)
Changelog:
1.1 to 1.2:
ADDED A CUSTOM BOOTSCREEN... NO MORE SPRINT BOOTSCREEN... YA!!!!!!!!!!!
Tweak GPS + AGPS
Cut down wakeups (should be a bit better battery)
Tweaked kernel and connection settings more

More dalvik tweaks
Potential audio fix & battery life fix
Removed DConfig and DCUpdater
Beta to v1.0:
Moved AutoKiller to allow it to be uninstalled from the phone
Removed Stocks
Removed the HTC Testing program that drained the battery
Bugs:
NON-Sprint users will not receive voicemail notifications (This is a problem if you are using ANY Sprint based ROM. The only way you can receive Voicemail Notifications is when the ROM is Verizon based. We are going to find the reason why and hopefully fix this issue for all Sprint ROMs)
FIXES:
DO THESE AS SOON AS YOU INSTALL THE ROM OR MAY NOTICE PROBLEMS!!!!
DIAL ##3282# and then choose "Edit Mode" when it asks for a password enter 000000. Go into Data Profile and change the "DSA Server URL" to JUST "https://". Now click menu, then Commit Changes. It will say that nothing was changed... That is fine. Click home and dial *228 (This part has only been testing on Cellular South, Test at your own risk if on another carrier) THIS IS IMPORTANT TO DO IF YOU WANT TO AVOID CONNECTION PROBLEMS OR WIFI/USB TETHERING DROPS, AND IF YOU WANT TO GET DATA ROAMING!!!
Don't like the way it looks? DON'T WORRY! YOU CAN FLASH ANY THEME/MOD THAT WORKS ON DAMAGECONTROL!!! THATS RIGHT!!! ANY MOD/THEME?TWEAK/ETC that is noted to work on DamageControl, WILL work on this rom!!!

Ok, So as most of us know, ALL of the ROMs that have the "Auto-PRI" feature are causing Cellular South users to downgrade their ROMs and reset there PRI. As for other CDMA Hero users (Bluegrass Cellular, nTelos Wireless, and Appalachian Wireless) they are stuck with the PRI they get (which has a TON of data connection issues) or they are forced to brick there phones and take it back to the store because they can not reset their PRI's. I have made a ROM based off the new Sprint leak that is PERFECT for the rest of us! (non-Sprint users) I just have one problem, I can't upload it til Wednesday because of my fail internet connection. So either I will have to wait til Wednesday, or I can tell someone with a fast internet connection exactly what I did to make the ROM, they can make it, and then upload it to a file sharing site! If someone would like to do that for me, please PM me or post here! Also, I will need a few beta testers for this ROM!

How to test it?
I'm a Chinese hero200 uer and I'd like to do some test together with other.
But how to access this ROM? I can't find the linkage to download it.
Besides, what should i report to you?
PM me pls.
Everyone who wants to beta test this ROM has to pm me for the link
You'll get it if you pm me.
Test EVERYTHING, change in PRI, everything, quickboot, wifi tether.
Just an FYI the PRI fix was something that I did for Fresh Rom. So it would only affect my rom and roms built off of my rom. It's not a 2.1/Sprint feature.
I'm still trying to gather up some type of list of what PRI the other companies SHOULD be on.
Flipz, I noticed that, since 2.0 d, your ROM doesn't support Chinese sms any more.
Is it resulted from Sprint? Or Did you make any change comparing with 2.Oc, which support Chinese sms well.
Thanks

I know. But the DamageControl ROM has the PRI Update and all of the sprint releases has the "Hands Free Activation" thing that causes problems. Also, All of them have the data call error that I posted in a thread a while back. I have managed to fix all of the these issues so non-Sprint users can enjoy the latest leak.

No, the auto PRI feature is what Flipz made. But the hands free activation thing and the data call failure error is with every Sprint leak based ROM that didnt remove the apks we talked about

PRI and PRL look good (Cellular South, PRI 1.84_013, PRL 10003)
Pardon me while I ask a lot of, probably repeat, questions about PRI.
Where is PRI stored? Obviously not in the system image anywhere.
What is the difference between the original problem where a "bad" PRI was "installed" and flipz PRI "auto-fix"?
What exactly does PRI do?
Does PRI have any relation to PRL?
Chrome is being asinine and won't let me edit my post, but I wanted to add that the boot screen didn't come up for me. I was expecting it because you noted it, but the solid black screen while waiting to boot was still a bit unnerving.

Glad to see you like it
The PRL is the "Preferred Roaming List"
To put it simple, it is the carriers way of letting your phone know where towers are and where Roaming is.
As for the PRI, I am not too sure what it is, but I know that it is carrier based, and the wrong one on your phone can cause problems
And for the bad PRI you are asking about, on Flipz ROM, it has an AutoPRI that is really just Sprint based. This means that other carriers who install this ROM will get the newest Sprint PRI which will cause data connection issues.
Also, on DamageControl and other Sprint Leaks, there are a couple of APKs that cause problems with the data connection and some random pop-ups with "errors" that were really just errors saying that you it cant connect to sprint. This ROM fixes those issues

HAHA I am aware of this. It seems to be a problem with NON-Sprint users. Me and Regaw are working to see what is different from Sprint and other companies that is causing that problem. We are thinking of putting the original boot screen back on there because it works for some odd reason. We will have more info on that tomorrow morning after I run some tests.

So the original Sprint leak just came with a bad PRI, but Fresh comes with a good PRI, which is actually only good for Sprint. Sounds like they are delivered the same way though.
Maybe I should update the first post in the non-Sprint rooting thread to mention this. I was originally led to believe the problem only came from running the leaked Sprint RUU.

Thanks to Orrebmas over at Android Central there is a working BETA version of the FULL HDMI for EVO.
All,
It is here finally, FullHDMI "limited time" public beta is attached in this post. This version is to mass test the app and get feedback before the next step.
I will be making an announcement later today about the beta and its purpose, but for now I am attaching it and going to get some sleep. You will need the Kernel posted several pages back on this thread to enable some features, and root. I just realized that non-root is broken as of this version.
Some of the things you need to know about before tinkering with the app, pasting quickly:

Most TVs have multiple options for aspect ratio. For example, zoom, hourglass, etc. Just make sure this setting is set to fill the screen.
I am not saying that is the case for all of you, it just was for me. Once I changed the setting, it filled the screen perfectly without messing with the X Y resolutions.

1- To achieve hardware acceleration, video memory (minimal) has to be used. Some poorly coded programs that also use video memory will try to grab a hold of the entire memory block instead of the available. This will cause them to crash when you are in hardware mode reserving a small block of memory to yourself. The only application that I found to be doing this is, strangely enough, HTC's Gallery (specifically video playback mode). Gallery video playback will keep trying to acquire the whole video memory, put the phone in a tight infinite loop doing so and eventually force close (after about 40 sec).
Compatibility or software mode does not use video memory and is safe to keep on while launching Galley video playback. Compatibility mode also does not make use of the "supercharged" feature, custom res or fullscreen mode.
2- FPS: Your frames per second will not be the same as on your phone. This is because the app is designed to keep the phone as primary display and output a secondary to the HDMI port. You are also outputting, most likely, a 1280x720 pixels which is almost ~2.5 times more the normal output. So in total you are pushing 3.5 lcd size screen worth of pixels (phone lcs + hdmi). Things can be improved if we freeze the phone display, but that wont be mirroring (maybe a feature in FullHDMI 2). Expect, however, to get more FPS in 3-D games (I get upwards of 40 fps on Raging Thunder 2) than 2-D sine he 2-D engine does the mirroring.
3- Lag: Some TVs (like Insignia) use an image enhancing and noise reducing engine. This extra processing puts the TV about half a second behind the phone making games unplayable by looking at the TV only. Watching movies is fine since nobody cares if the phone is a little faster than the TV. On this Insignia TV, I had to go in and turn off two image enhancing and noise reducing features, and now my phone and TV track together. I know Sony has its own engine, I do not know if the extra processing there introduces lag. I have two other TVs with no lag issues, but then they don't use any image enhancing engines.
Again, the app should not lag in mirroring, if you experience any lag then please check your TV and share your observation with us.
4- This app was not designed to display youtube or other apps that already work over HDMI. To use such apps you should stop FullHDMI from driving the HDMI signal first.
ENJOY
iF YOU DECIDE TO THANK ME FOR POSTING THIS UP, I APPRECIATE IT BUT NOT NEEDED..I DID NOT DEVELOP THIS APP IN ANY WAY, JUST POSTED IT FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

IMPORTANT..YOU WILL NEED TO UNZIP THE FILE YOU DOWNLOAD THEN THE KERNEL AND APK ARE IN THERE TO INSTALL!!! You will only need to do this for the RAR file. if downloading from a phone look below
I also uploaded the APK and kernel for everyone on top of the rar file so they can just do it on there phone also. So from the phone download the apk file and the zip file. place those on root of sd card and your good to go. Just boot into recovery and install kernel.

Great post. I guess we will see how this is received now. I must tell you that the mods here tell me that do not not like the spirit in which they say this app was developed . I hope this thread does well to inform people of this type of app and its uses... I also hope those who are against this app being discussed here can refrain from posting and just wait for the dev that they like to come up with their own app that is actually out and available to be tested and used .
I have been using the app for a week or so and am very impressed to say the least . Watching movies wherever j go from my phone has been most awesome.

I see....I wonder if any Netarchy kernel will do? I'm running 2.6.32.27 version 4.3.2 nosbc-havs more. This kernel for me has great battery life and speed on Myn's rom. It would be a shame to switch but this app is too tempting to ignore
Just nandroid your current setup. You need the fullhdmi kernel for this to work. i will post in a few.

Ok, here comes the version 0.3 of my Ganbarou (頑張ろう [gambaroo] = Japanese for "Try your best!!") ROM.
This ROM is made for tablets like pov Mobii, Viewpad 10s, Smartsurfer 360 MN10U, that have an internal 3G modem and GPS. Of course it works on similar tablets like the Advent Vega, XVision, ...
My main goal is to get a ROM that gives full support to 3G and GPS and be as stable and fast as possible.
Download link:
Ganbarou ROM V0.3
Screenshots, changelog and tips:
Ganbarou (頑張ろう = Japanese for "Try your best!!") ROM V0.3
Changelog V0.3b
Added NTFS automount (Again many thanks to the_corvus for the scripts)
Changelog V0.3a
Fixed small bug with TPUtility. It crashed due to some wrong libraries.
Changelog V0.3
New kernel - CorvusKernel 0.2 (Many thanks to the_corvus for compiling a stock version of his very fast kernel)
Bluetooth problem solved
Changed file manager from Astro to standard Android file manager (taken from CM7 ROM).
Removed NI keyboard (can be downloaded and installed from here)
Name spelling corrected
Overclocking [source]:
Method 1:
Get SetCPU from the market (or here from XDA) and select autodetect on the first start (if you have started earlier, must press menu and press the left button "device"). Then you can move the slide to 1500000 (or whatever speed you want). You can define profiles as well. Seems to work on my ROM.
Method 2:
Download CPU Meter from market. It must detect the freqs and let you use them. Don't change any other parameter, use at your own risk.
USB host mode [source]:
Press power button, once display get power (you will see the difference), press back button and hold until finish booting.
Have fun and give me feedback.
And as usual: You use this ROM on your own risk. I am not responsible if you break your device, loose warranty, get into a fight with your wife or loose important company data from your SDcard.
THIS ROM RUNS BY DEFAULT ON 1.5GHZ OVERCLOCKING. GET SETCPU OR CPU METER FROM THE MARKET TO REGULATE THE SPEED. PERMANENT OVERCLOCKING MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR TABLET. YOU GOT THIS WARNING HERE AND I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOUR TABLET ENDS UP BURNING.

You can use the Host Mode Indicator on this ROM as well, as I use the CorvusKernel 0.2

Overclocking freqs with CorvusKernel 0.2 are autodetected, so no need of setcpu.txt... it Corvus5 works, and may work in any other rom, lets setcpu autodetect freqs.

Thanks for your great support!
[EDIT]
Yes, it works, SetCPU set to autodetect and it shows 216MHz to 1.5GHz.
Your kernel is really a super thingy!

Have to check it for WiFi. At least it gets location from the 3G, as it says at the moment that I am in Makati City, Manila, Philippines, but the position is around 100m from my real location.
New version is up.

Thank you for this great Rom.
It is very fast and stable, without tweak.
But I have a problem: I would like to use my Huawei E1750 Dongle. Unfortunately it is not supported.
I have worked with him a AT-command. (AT^U2DIAG=0)
I can not create a new APN. The APN can not be stored.
3G and GPS I can enable.
I hope you can help.
In the German forum (http://www.android-hilfe.de/pov-mobii-tegra-tablet-10-2-advent-vega-forum/),
many would appreciate a Huawei Ünterstützung.

Hallo nach Deutschland!
Unfortunately there is not much I can do, either a specific dongle is supported by the included drivers or not.
But it seems there are people who got the E1750 working on the tablet.
Check T-Mobile Dongle for Advent vega.
Make sure you have the tablet in USB host mode by rebooting and pressing the back button from the moment the tablet starts booting until you see the lock-screen or launcher again. To check if you are in host mode you can use the gridhostmodeindicator.apk from ptbw.
Are the lights on the dongle going on and into a stable condition?
You can change and save an APN only if the connection to a provider is set. What provider are you using? Most German providers should be in the APN list already. You can check apns-conf.xml file in /system/etc to see if your provider is in with the correct settings.
Have to say, i have flashed just about every rom on the net for the Vega and this is the best yet. Flash is flawless and iplayer works just as it should. Have my Vega oc to 1.4ghz and all is good.
What plans do you have for future improvements?
Thanks, Dave.

Improvements will be more for users with internal 3G/GPS modem. Plan to have the 3G active automatically after boot and GPS selectable in the settings (which is greyed out today).
I am not really a cook, I just mod ROMs to my personal needs and sometimes other people like them as well.
There are a few bugs (like 216MHz hang, battery load hang) that I cannot fix, as I have no idea how to compile a kernel or a ROM.

I think I have tried everything.
The problem is definitely the E1750.
I've ordered a Huawei E172. Come back tomorrow.
Hope to achieve an improvement.
I'm just about to upgrade to v1.0, but one problem I had with this one was that the power button didn't turn the screen off.
I constantly had to suspend it.
Also, gallery won't allow you to set a wallpaper. This causes a forced close.

This is an AOSP-based build with extra contributions from many people which you can use without any type of Google applications. I found a link from some other project that can be used to restore the Google parts, which can be found below or elsewhere in the thread. I've still included the various hardware-specific code, which seems to be slowly being open-sourced anyway.

The current buglist:
Native tethering does not work with WiMAX. Enabling either WiFi or USB tether will disconnect WiMAX until tether is turned off. Third-party wifi tethering apps are known to work.
WiMAX Toggle Widget is Broken.
Attempting to use it may cause the notification bar to force-close. You can disable the widget entirely in the CyanogenMod Settings menu.
WiMAX can be managed through the Wireless & Networks system setting screen.
NOTE: There is a third-party WiMAX Toggle Widget on the Android Market. It is not free, but has been reported to work on NS4G. Work toward implementing a functioning native toggle widget is ongoing.
New Changes:
WiMAX (uberpinguin, mkasick, wispoffates)
Fixed camcorder media profiles for smoother recording and better auto white balance. Also adds "HD" profile. (Decad3nce)
Torch toggle button in PowerWidget (noobnl)
New WiFi driver from Aries kernel. Fixes native WiFi Hotspot and toggle button.

I guess this is as good a place as any. I haven't been able to find the answer in any related threads, but I was wondering if there is a special trick to getting Google Talk to use the front video camera in the fixed version linked in the OP. I've successfully connected with a friend of mine who has a Galaxy Nexus, but the PIP window showing my video has no option to switch to the front cam (in fact, it shows a lock icon instead).
The video transfers fine, but I just can't figure out how to switch cams. Again, I'm using the fixed version already, and I've flashed it several times over, and redownloaded twice with no change.
Woohoo!

For New CM7 Epic Users
For users new to CyanogenMod 7.2, as the OP says, this is not TW and it's very true. You will notice some things are different. Many differences are enormously beneficial, here are some petty little things you may miss. :] CyanogenMod is also not Sprint specific and some carrier specific tweaks are required.
:: Single press on capacitive buttons does not have haptic feedback
:: Instead of voicemail notifications, you'll receive text messages from 9016, they are intended for the Sprint VVM app which is not included - AmericanJedi001 has solutions for you - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436785
:: By default, holding 1 does not dial voicemail - Settings > Call settings > Voicemail settings > Change *86 to your phone#
:: By default, long text messages are not split into 160 char chunks and may be turned to nonsense - Messaging > Settings > Enable SMS split
:: Camera button may turn screen on if phone is not fully asleep - Resolved, flash nightly 14 or later.
:: *p00f* your smiley button is now an @ button - http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/39546-cm7-discussion-of-nightlies/page__view__findpost__p__281607
:: LED charging indicator works differently, red while low, off while charging, weird color when charged
:: Video camera focuses differently - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21015903&postcount=974
:: Samsung dock audio redirection through USB is not supported in the stock CM7 kernel
:: VodooSound kernel extensions are not included in the stock CM7 kernel
:: CM7 doesn't have a function for updating your PRL - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20927995&postcount=699

Are you sure you have friends that have enabled video capabilities? Even that might not help, since when I changed my settings to enable video and voice chat, my friend still wasn't seeing the video cam icon next to my name on his list.
For what it's worth, I was able to test the G+ Messenger app's "Hangout" video chat, and it seems to work with FFC.

I'm actually getting 1500kbps in Detroit, which is 3x faster than I've ever gotten with wimax here. Is it possible that stock Froyo just didn't do a good job of handling the 4G signal, or is it more likely that Detroit got an upgrade?

Thanks for the ROM, messi, it's greatly appreciated even if development stops cold after the post you just made.
And for those that might care, the MD5 of the archive is: 00dd56ee08963da05195915dd528d9b1
The headphone audio output on this ROM is rather weak, but that's not messi's fault, it's because of how Oreo is working on this device. There appears to be no mixer_paths.xml file in Oreo now, and I added the older mixer_paths.xml (with permissions 0644 as required) with the necessary adjustments to boost the audio output from the default of 84 to 92. It had zero effect so it seems the audio subsystem in Oreo is now working differently for whatever reason, not sure if there's a way to adjust the defaults at all.
Also, the kernel for this ROM appears to be defaults to just 6 core operation: I've installed the ROM twice now on my S2P and when I check the core activity with CPU-Z it always shows 2 little cores active, 2 offline (always), and all 4 big cores active. And of course the minimum CPU speeds are 960 for the little cores and 768 for the big cores - they should be (or at least I should say they could be set in the kernel parameters down to the minimum of 384 MHz and that would save a bit of battery life.
Overall it's been great so far, really, everything seems to work fine. The flashlight didn't work so I installed a flashlight app then suddenly the toggle started working so, there's something funky going on there but everything else so far has been great. Would be nice if there was a more customized kernel available, yes, with more governors and perhaps even some undervolting potential but I know this device just doesn't have much developer love at all.
Regardless, it's very cool to be able to run Oreo 8.1 now since I have never really given a damn about it at all previously. I may go back to running the stock T-Mobile 20a rooted ROM on my S2P however, it depends on how things work out.

Geezus, I spent an hour looking for that information on multiple forums and websites and you're the first person to point out where it is, damn.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Adjusted the default path name="headphones" from 75 to 90 and w00t, much much better now.

I want to ask a question. This Custom ROM support the LG Stylus 2 Plus K520TR model?
There are two issues I've noticed, can't say they will, would, or do affect other people and I'm using the MetroPCS model with T-Mobile (I was using the T-Mobile stock ROM originally).
- the Mobile Hotspot does not function. It says it's working in the Settings submenu but the actual hotspot never does function, it never shows up as a visible AP for another device to connect to, the SSID is not broadcast, etc
- the USB options when you plug in a USB cable will not stick, I've got into the Developer Options and I have it set to always MTP and every single time I plug in I have to go manually change it from charging to MTP to get it working
They're not massively important things but for me the Mobile Hotspot could be useful for my Wife when we're out and about; her Flex 2 doesn't have cellular service so in the past she'd just tether to my Stylo but now that's not possible.
Not sure this can even be resolved given the nature of the usage but it would be nice to have those two nitpicks working properly. Aside from that this ROM so far has been spectacular: I'm getting 7+ hours of SOT at 50% brightness, with cellular and Wi-Fi enabled constantly, and using L Speed to handle background performance.
So far so good.
I am getting a vendor ID error every time I restart the phone. T-Mobile version stylo. Clean install followed to a T. I also noticed some games aren't working either like they cannot community ate with the server mainly Paladins strike that game also starts with an error.
I'll try to screenshot the error and write it down as well as the vendor id it says I need to match
Did a full reflash and the vendor id error persists. Also not sure if its because of that but most of the apps and games I try to play are giving me network errors and not downloading the content. I can download from the app store no problem but its within the app that problems with network start. My APN is correct as well.
Wondering if I missed a nougate update that is causing the vendor id error.

I believe the vendor id is used to pass safetynet easier. Expected behavior
Anything going on with this rom?

@messi2050 said he was done with this phone and I haven't heard anything from him since, so no. @deadman96385 @Travisholt92 @xRaZeR_FuZioNx and @cospalet are all working on roms still. If you wanna talk to them and see what their plans are, we have a telegram group, but you'll have to find it yourself
Ya I'm not looking to pay for nightlies of an unfinished rom
The ROM works, the only thing that doesn't for me is the hotspot but that's a given anyway and nothing can really be done with it.
Only thing I wish we had at this point is a custom kernel to get the idle speeds down from the current ones of 960/768, they should be 384/384 and it would help with battery life (which is fine even in spite of this current limitation). Maybe some more governors would be nice too but so far I've been running this ROM since it was put out and haven't had a single thing to legitimately complain about unlike others it seems.
Use it, don't use it, but for Pete's Sake® STFU about it and messi, will ya?
I just got my computer up with 14.04.5 TT and set up my build envir. I just need the time. I cant leave my computer set up at home right now and thats where i have the best connection. Its my first time so i intend to do a couple dry runs first, maybe play around with the kernel. But i never have to time to get rling with it
Google lens
I can't believe it but Google Lens actually works on this ROM. I haven't done a lot of testing but so far so good.

Did you ever find a fix for the mismatching vendor.img? I feel dumb bit its been years since i've fiddled with android internals. They've change quite a bit since lollipop lol

So, for you, if you have cellular service, can you test out the hotspot functionality and let me know if you're successful with getting it to work? It's the only thing that doesn't work for me, so I switched back to the 7.1.1 ROM where it works just fine. I'd love to continue using the 8.1 ROM but without that hotspot it's a problem.
