soft reset worked for me when I had the problem on my universal
2 variants
connect your ppc to AS then may be 2 different ways
1. install SOTI Pocket Controller-Professional
or
1. open device via as and seek file WELCOME.NOT
2. create empty file with same name
3.overwrite existing file with empty file
going to try

touchscreen problems
Hi all,
I had touchscreen problems with my Uni, too
I removed the battery
then the 4 screws
then the bottom cover
then I unplugged the screen cables
and when I plugged them back, and reassembled the device,
it was working again.
(anyway, is the keyboard backlight blue in all devices?Mine is red.)
Hope this helped.(If not, I'm from Hungary, and I'm happy to help anyone with the disassembling/fixing cables/reassembling procedure, as I'm a pro)
thanks so very much for help

Why is It That when I Go To Do A Back up The Bar at the Bottom Doesnt Move.. It Doesnt Show Like The Progress/ Percentage... At all.... Is It Sopposed To Take That Long I Let It Sit For 6 Mins And Nothing Did It Twice.. It Shows S-off...But Idk im I Missin A Step?
Please Help
It is longer, but I noticed this is also because on my Nexus S most roms were 70-90MB in size, where as now on this phone they are 350-400MB in size. So they will take much longer. I have noticed that the progress bar also does not seem to move when doing so, and sometimes I catch it go half way then full but it is not as fluid as some of the other phones.
this is B4 Installin The Rom Tho... Im Up To
1. Download the file su-2.3.6.3-ef-signed.zip from here: DOWNLOAD [CHECK]
2. Copy su-2.3.6.3-ef-signed.zip to your SD card root folder (main folder of your memory card) [CHECK]
3. Start clockworkmod recovery [CHECK]
4. BACKUP YOUR ROM USING CWM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ROOT! [Here is Right About Where The Progress Bar gets Stuck At 0.... When Im Backin Up.... Should I just Leave It For Like Half An Hr?... is that Normal?... How Long Did It Take U to back Up the First Time? Is It My Apps?....

yeah, dont worry, the bar doesnt show any "progress" (it'll prolly be fixed in the next update) bt it is infact doing the back up, just be patient, and even if you read below that it tells you what its doin till it finishes
I Apreciate Everyones reply's But Thats The thing It Doesnt say When The Back Up Is Done...So How do I Know When The Back Up is Done... So I Dont Know Where To click, Ive Clicked Every Button, I Had To take Out The Battery...But Then When I Go Back To The Retore..there Seems To be a Back Up... But Who Knows If I Might Of Canceled It Half way Thru The Back Up.... And Then imagen When I Go To back Up... And Its Corrupted...

I've found that the setting to show progress is actually stuck off when you first install Rom Manager, even though it is checked.
Uncheck and recheck the option in Rom Manager settings, and it should show your progress from then on.

i dint realize that, but i looked at mine and realized that it was unchecked, which means that the backup/restore should show progress bar but if u check the box then it disables this. so we'll c if i get a progress bar next time.

still havent figured out this multiquote thing...
bt anyway, you need to download rom manager from marked and grant it su permission and then look in the settings
but if your restore doesnt even show you what its doing? (it'll say restoring system, then restoring data.....blah blah) and just stays there black, then maybe you have a bigger problem. hopefully someone here with more experience with this can help you out on that one

Just saw that post too, and am running a backup right this second. I am indeed seeing a progress bar again.
ROM Manager says that this will slow down the process, but it'll be worth it to satisfy the anal-retentive part of my brain that can't stand being without visual indicators of progress!
Big thanks to gbzbar for pointing out that setting that I know a lot of people have missed thus far!

Hi people ,
I just finish root my nexus 7 - JB 4.3 (seems succesfully) following tuto from ¨Babbling Boolean¨ (YouTube : ¨Nexus 5 Easy Unlock Bootloader+Root+Custom Recovery¨)
He finish rooting tuto by accesing the new uploaded ¨Quick Boot app¨ (shot #1) and tapping into ¨Recovery¨ option (shot #2) to get a final screen with eight ¨files¨ (shot #3) : Install-wipe-Backup-Restore-Mount-Settings-Advanced-Reboot...
Q. How the hell is to get OUT of that screen and exit Quick Boot app ???
There are three buttons bellow but seems to be just comands to move oround within Quick Boot thing.. can´t get out of it !!!
Help .
Ps. No missunderstandings , Babbling Boolean TUTO is very good/clear (..that´s why I choose to follow it), I´m guessing it´s me ¨junior user¨ not being able to move out -of which I hope- a simple-new app - ¨How to use¨ - issue..
mm
The nexus 7 thread, or the app thread is a better place for this post.. Most apps can be exited by the home or back button... If the app put you in recovery, you need select the reboot option, I don't know this app, so can't really help more than this.. Good luck

TWRP issue , it was..

I was stuck on TWRP Recovery screen just on account of my app use inhability..

ciao
Hey guys ! I need help please. Actually i changed my build.prop i followed this guide under my post, then reboot , but actually my screen is stuck on OnePlus One powered by Android , bot screen . Can you help me please. I just have acces to CyanogenMod Simple Recoverey <3e>
"Recently google gave a few devices the feature to cast your screen to chromecast, sadly opo isn't among the list.
But if you're rooted, you can do this mod and it will work, and it's pretty simple. You just have to trick the OS into thinking you have a nexus 5.
Edit the /system/build.prop
Find the line where says ro.product.device
Change "A0001" to "hammerhead" (without quotes)
Reboot
Open your quick toggles, and press the cast screen button
Enjoy!"
Thanks in advance !
EDIT : Resolved , you can close this post , thanks.
Halo! Nice to meent u
I often duty flashing, when I update my nexus 5's rom
Even when I flash a different ROM at all
and i try to solve the problem with rmdir /data/data/com.android.* and see logcat.
Then look sometimes, the home button jammed and also cant access to quick setting on status bar.
The situation is the same as when after factory reset is executed setupwizard.
Because of your data is jammed. Android think, u didnt launch setupwizard.
But its already done in Setupwizard data. So Setupwizard will not launch.
Solution
1. Rename /system/priv-app/Setupwizard/base.apk (Previous android, /system/priv-app/Setupwizard.apk or /system/app/Setupwizard.apk) to another filename extension like Base.apk.bak and Reboot
2. Again rename to original filename extension~ (For me, Basek.apk)
3. Plz reboot
4. U can see Welcome Screen on Setupwizard!
(If you want to skip setupwizard, follow me! touch Left Upper conner -> Right Upper Conner -> Right bottom conner -> Left bottom conner)
i deleted the setup wizard apk in twrp because i couldnt get pass the welcome screen after flashing pure nexus. is there any way i can get it back

I can't see any files on Device storage when I use file explorer nor can run wizard
I tried using your method which was using file explorer to locate the setup wizard file but my device storage shows empty. Also I tried using nova launcher method but the setup wizard keeps crashing. It's my 2nd time running the wizard as well.
