watching films - help please!

i bought a disc off ebay with lots of cartoon clips and films etc, most of them are *.rm.
I copy them accross to my xda2, but im not able to watch them at all.
on the disc i bought there is a folder called Pocket PC which includes real one player PPC11PR.
I have tried copying this over and that doesnt work.
Also in the same folder is Pocket MVP as a zipped folder, again tried copying and installing this, but no luck.
I must be doing something wrong as the seller has excellent feedback, so other people must be getting it to work!
any help would be very appreciated.
Cheers!

you could jsut convert the rm files to something more pleasent on your pc and then copy them to the xda

tmobile wing video help

im sorry if im not posting in the correct forum for this but i am extremely frustrated. i would very much like to watch videos on my wing. however i cannot find a solution on how to get the damned things on the device. i have searched the internet and looked at the htc website all to no avail. if anyone can help me that would be awesome.
thanks to all who contribute
look for TCPMP on www.google.com
ok, i downloaded the cab file for my wing. i dled the one that says for pocketpc. is this correct? also i downloaded battery status but im unsure on how to use this. if you could help it would be greatly appreciated.
the only other question is how do i get the media oon my wing? ive tried syncing it with wmp and that fails. i tried drag and drop onto the micro sd card and that also does not work. what am i doing wrong?
anyone that can answer these questions please! it would be a great help
media is a broad term maybe you should state what files you are trying to get to it
never synced with wmp myself but have many many many of my cd's on my 2GB microSD card and it works just fine
both as mp3 and wma
also have ogg, mpg, avi(divx) and such on it
i am trying to get avi's mp4's.... basically any type of movie file on my wing and never can do it. always get an error.
dezos112: what player are you using? what error do you get?
i dled the player you suggested. the player is fine. the problem is getting the movies on my card. nothing seems to work.
what do you mean by "the problem is getting the movies on my card. nothing seems to work."
Explain more clearly please.
i mean getting the movies files from my computer onto my 2gb micro sd card.
so freaking frustrating! sorry for *****ing but this is the only thing that annoys me about this phone
if i need to be anymore specific let me know.
using total commander and marking the mp4 files and clicking copy would prob do the trick
What exactly are you using for copying the files over to the phone? If you're doing it over the standard ActiveSync USB sync, it's going to take ages and you may be pulling the phone out of its cradle before the file is fully done copying. If you don't have one already, I'd highly reccomend getting a USB 2.0 MiniSD card reader to speed up the transfer of movies and music.
ok... ive solved the issue on how to get the movie files on my phone. now i try to open them with the program, the first time i tried it worked like a charm. now when i open a movie file it crashes to the today screen. do i need a different media player?????
by the way. i opened the movie file with tcpmp. thats the program that crashes to the today screen. is there any other media player i should use?
bump..................

Video from phone to pc

Hey,
I used the search function and did not find what I searched for so I hope I did not oversee something
I recorded some videos with my phone (HTC hero with the standart camera) and as I wanted to copy the files to my pc I could not find them. There is the option to share via gmail or bluetooth but the files are to big for gmail and my pc does not have bluetooth so how can I transfer these video files to my pc?
Is it even possible?
Thanks in advance
Nobody can help?
What about moving stuff to SD card and pulling card / using USB adapter to plug in PC? Plus it all depends on what format device records video in that will determine if you can play on PC.
good day.
I can´t find it on my phone. I used Root Explorer to look for the videos but I dunno where they are saved, do you know what folder I have to look for?
Thx for the advice btw
Sorry winmo user. But after some searching the videos should be in the same folder as your pictures.
good day.
I guess I found the solution here:

Just posting it, in case anyone else has the problem. Thanks, seems your advise solved it.

ok
ok
Photos and vids
For photos use ES File Explorer . Click on the photo you wanna see and use gallery to open . If it does not work like that then push and HOLD the photo you wanna see , it will ask you what you want to view as , you answer " photo " than it will show you options to open , click on gallery and always . as for videos use DICE Player . Both apps are free . Hope that helps .

[Q] How to copy Google Play Movies you've purchased on a PC

I'm interested in keeping a backup of movie's I've purchased on my laptop computer, I would also like to be able to view them and play the movies on my laptop.
I believe movies purchased from the play store are located in this directory:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.videos/files/Movies/****.wvm
and the filename extension is *.wvm (not *.wmv)
If anyone would assist and tell me how these videos can be played on a laptop, I would be most appreciative.
BONUS: If you know how to convert a .wvm file into a more recognizable format (e.g. an .mp4 file), then even better ! please let me know. Thanks !
you can play them here, on your laptop/desktop https://www.youtube.com/purchases
you dont have to back it up, as it stays with your account "forever". all you have to do is open that page of youtube, select that movie, then itll play. i know of no way to play that format otherwise. they make it not so easy to copy and convert it, so you dont make copies and sell them.
