titanium backup problems!! - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

really really need some help here !
so i backed up my apps using titanium backup..the usual way go to create zip and created a update.zip.. so dropboxed that and nvflashed the new prime rom on it now i download it back from dropbox put it into the folder for titanium and when i go to restore tab on titanium i dont see any numbers in the restore section :S :S? how do i restore???
thank you

if you back it up by update.zip you have to flash it via recovery.
I usually just back up and restore using the batch method.

Not working. It doesnt even detect the file. Oh well i downloaded everything again

big problem need help

So I got a phone with cryogen7 or whatever from my friend. I want to make it completely stock again. I dont have his sd card. so I just have mine from another phone. I downloaded the stock g2x gingerbread file, but when I try to restore it, i get a md5 mismatch or something. I saw a thread on that but I dont know how to write code. just hoping someone could help me out. thank you.

Download the V21E nandroid from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196019
Then use your computer to extract the folder from the zip file you download. Copy that folder to the sdcard on your phone, and place it in the ./clockworkmod/backup directory. Then boot into clockworkmod recovery and select backup/restore > restore and then choose the backup folder you just copied to your sdcard. Make sure to do a full wipe/factory reset from within clockworkmod before you reboot or you might get a bootloop.
If you want stock recovery then use tga gunmanns one click app in the development section to restore stock recovery. Then you'll be 100% unrooted stock again.
IF the name of the zip has spaces in it it wont flash

Nandroid backups aren't flashable zips. With the files from the thread i linked to, you have to extract the backup folder from the zip before you restore it. But yes, you are correct that spaces in the name of the backup create issues.
Did you figure it out yet?

it freezes on "checking md5 sums"... don't know what to do
Are you using your computer to extract the V21E folder from the zip file? Ive used my phone before to extract it before and gotten the md5 mismatch error, and then used my computer to do it and it worked fine.
are you sure the rom your using is for your phone?

Hacking a nandroid backup to pull app data out?

I rooted & ROM'd a friends phone last night. He asked me to try to save his Angry Birds app/data because he'd won so many levels, it would take forever to get them back.
But I forgot!
So I've got his nandroid but can't just flash it to my phone because it's got a gesture lock and I don't think you can hack those.
So is it possible to pull his Angry Birds data from the nandroid backup I took of his phone before flashing it?
Nandroid the new setup.
Restore the old one
Download titanium backup and backup all apps you want to keep along with app data
Restore nandroid back up
Download titanium backup and restore apps you backed up

I figured out how to recover the angry birds old scores data.
Just copy the nandroid to your computer desktop.
Use something to extract it (I use 7zip).
Navigate to this folder:
\data.ext4\data\data\com.rovio.angrybirds\files
Copy these two files:
/highscores.lua
/settings.lua
Then copy them to your phone.
Open root explorer and navigate to:
\data.ext4\data\data\com.rovio.angrybirds\files
Rename these two original files to .old for the file extension.
/highscores.lua
/settings.lua
Then move the two files you extracted earlier and paste them into this folder.
Works great.
Maybe this would help...

Can't install titanium backup

Here is what it says had to remove it as it was fcin

have the same problem with you..
ppl here suggest use root explorer, go tos system/data/app/ and search for a file with titanium backup odex extension and delete it.,
me myself, try to do those thing above but find no titanium backup extension..
Next time use titanium backup to create an "update.zip" to flash right after you flash whatever rom you want. The update.zip is just the program to install onto your device so you don't have to hunt for the apk in the market.
I'll attach mine to see if it'll help.

clockworkmod recovery help

in clockworkmod recovery if i make a back up of a rom and than i restore to that rom. do i still have that same back up or will have to make another backup thank you
Whatever you backed up you will have an exact image of that one when you restore. It's like creating a restore point on a pc you can roll back to

You've still got it once you restore it. If you look at the path sdcard/clockworkmod/backup there will be a folder and part of the name of the folder will be the date you made the backup. Don't change anything inside that folder, but you can change the name of the folder to remind you exactly which backup it is. As long as you don't delete that folder, you've got that backup.

TWRP recovery issue

Hello. So I first installed ragehd, which is a 4.1.2 Rom. I then backed it up and installed axiom, a 4.2.2 based Rom. I decided I wanted to restore back to ragehd, backed up axiom, but when I went to restore my old backups were not there, just the axiom backup. I looked in my TWRP folder (using twrp 2.5.0.0), and I see my old backups in that folder, but not the axiom backup. I can't find the axiom backup anywhere using a file explorer, but it is the only restoreable back up I see in twrp. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
Never mind. I just found my backup folder using search in root explorer and copy and pasted where I needed to.
