What im trying to do:
Use clockworkmod to create a backup of my phone
Specs:
Galaxy S 2 i9100
gingerbread 2.3.3
Rooted - via XWKDD_insecure.tar "method?"
Rom Manager 4.3.2.3
clockworkmod 4.0.0.2
Problem:
Ok, so i've ran "flash clockworkMod recovery 4.0.0.2"
(superuser permissions granted"
Then i try to "backup Current ROM"
the phone reboots into recovery and then i get this error:

what am i doin wrong, also is there a better way to backup my rom
(im assuming with this backup i can flash back to it n my phone will be in the exact state it's in now??)
thanks in advance
flashed 4.0.0.5 seemed to fix the problem..
Used ClockWorkMod to create a backup of my phone 2.3.6 and restored from backup to make sure it works.
Flashed stock ROM 2.3.5, not happy with it and decided to go back to my updated 2.3.6 backup. After backup was restored, some apps are in grey and when tapped my Samsung Galaxy W says "Application is not installed in your phone."
How do I create a backup which includes all 64 apps installed or a mirror copy of everything before I experiment with different ROMs? TIA!
Hello all,
I own a optimus 3d phone. Yesterday i used superoneclick method and got it rooted. I installed rom manager to flash cwm. After that i did a nandroid backup so i can return back to stock. I flashed thiaizo3d rom, worked fine. I tried to restore the nandroid backup but i ran into an md5 error. As i couldn't fix it, i flashed another rom (king 3d) but it drains battery really fast. The thiaizo3d rom that worked well doesn't work anymore, i try to install stock roms and i get errors at the begining of the flashing process...i am sort of desperate. i want to return to stock and i can't, please some1 tell me what to do, what to flash. I didn't changed the baseband, all i did was to root and install cwm. i want my stock o3d back, help me!

Hi, i have an issue restoring my Galaxy tab 10.1 gt-n8000 region switzerland... before flashing with a cm rom i did a backup with CWM 6.0.1.1, then after flash i could not see my backup in CWM... so i then found it with Astro file manager in : sdcard0/0/0/0/clockworkmod/backup.. (by the way what are all these 0?) so i could copy it to sdcard/0/clockworkmod... so that i could see it in CWM but when restoring it i get an error while restoring system... please help, i have searched this forum but did not find a suitable solution, i have seen that 4ext recovery could help, or by installing original stock rom but where can i find it`?
Another thing i just noticed, when i plug my tab on computer i have the message : windows cannot identify your device... is it bad?
Please help me, as you can understand i am a noob... with android.
Thanks in advance !
