LED notification light - Motorola Triumph

What does it mean .. Sometimes mine blinks green for no reason..and flashes red?
Sent from my MOTWX435KT using xda premium

Mine does this too. I am not sure why. But my light is Green. And it might be a Motorola issue. Because when i had the Motorola Atrix it did this too. A restart fixed the issue. I could not make out if or what app is causing this issue.

Solid red = charging
Solid green = fully charged
Flashing red = battery temp high
Flashing green = message

Mine flashes red when I get messages, and occasionally randomly flashes green for no apparent reason, which I doubt would be battery temperature because the temperature wouldn't go up if it's doing nothing.

Mine flashes green for no reason.. There is no notifications or anything... Mabe its just so you know your phones on..

How often do you overheat your battery? I let mine sit ans I cleared all running apps and it kept getting hotter and hotter..than it shutsoff with the red thermastat screen?
And it seems ljke it wont charge if its overheating...

I'm not sure about the pulsating RED for overheated battery but mine does it is for low battery power.

I've seen things a little differently, actually.
While charging
Red -- battery charging
Red pulsing -- battery too hot, charging paused
Green -- Battery done charging, 100%
While standing around
Orange pulsing -- Text message/other notification
Green pulsing -- (occasionally) e-mail message
To me the orange of the notification looks different than the red of charging. But maybe that's just me.

The blinking green led is coming from your gmail app... Even though you have no new email.. Happened to me and quiet annoying. This can be fixed with the app light flow..you don't have to be rooted..

I noticed mine blinks for no reason right after every phone call. Does eventually stop though =\

Even if there is no notification, pull the bar down and back up the anyways, the light will go off.......

[Q] Charge Indicator on Dock flash red while charging?

I haven't run down the battery until today (always kept it plugged in) Is it normal for the charging indicator to flash red while it is charging? Or is there something wrong?
In my experience flashing red means the dock is dead and needs charged. Should be solid red or solid green when charging.

Yea seems like the dock was dead. After about 15 minutes of charging, it's a solid red again
Thanks

All this is explained in the little book that came with your dock. Solid Green above 95%, Solid Orange (they call it orange) means below 95% or above 10%
Orange blinking: Battery less than 10% more than 3%
Orange blinking fast: Battery less than 3%

[Q] Led when fully charged

When charging is the led changing to a different color or turning off when fully charged?
When I charge mine (turned on or off) the led stays orange even when fully charged so I have no way to tell if it's fully charged when I have it turned off other than watching the clock and guessing if it would be charged after a certain amount of time. Just seems strange when every other phone i've had (htc or others) all have some indication it's charged..
Hmmm weird. Mine changes to green when fully charged.

Guess I'll try a reset and if that doesn't work send it in for a replacement. I thought it seemed strange that it wouldn't give some sort of notification
Yeah, it should turn green. I'd try a hard reset.

Smartwatch 2 ever show fully charged?

I have noticed that charging never seems to stop.
If the watch is "off", then when you charge you get a big picture of a battery on the screen. Underneath it is a percentage. It seems to take ages to go from 99% to 100% but the animated recharging battery graphic keeps going as if its still charging.
Similarly if the watch is switched on, the lightning bolt symbol over the battery icon in the top left corner always remains on and never goes out.
Normally you would expect a clear indication of complete charging. Has anyone seen this?

No, but it takes like 2 hrs to charge the clock for me (from 10%)
It should take one hour only!
mine has been on charge for about 4 hours and still stuck on 99% it got to 99 in about an hour.
Where do you see the % of battery
Mine only shows an arrow over the battery indicator, left corner.
Are you using some software to measure it?
thanks.
Im sure its meant to only go to 99% so it dont damage battery
Does it work with all android?

When it shows 100% does the green battery in the middle still show a "filling up" animation? On one charger it gets stuck at 99% and on another it gets to 100 but the charging animation still continues

Same here. Left the watch charging for some hours and it showed 100% but the animation keeps on going

Okay. Thank you very much for confirming the behavior. I find it odd to say the least, but it's the design rather than a fault.
New update removed the battery percentage
Hi
Since the last update, I noticed two things while charging yesterday.
I first tried to charge while the watch was turned on. It was at 13% when I plugged in and after a couple of hours with the charger connected it showed 12%... I thought that it maybe needed a "boot" to show 100% but that was not the case, after restart it still showed 12% so it didn't charge while it ran.
So I turned the watch off and charged all night and this morning when I unplugged and started the watch it showed 98% instead of 100%...
Any of you have the same experience ?
Thanks

UltrimSlim RGT problem

First of all it's a very good ROM by Ron.gt
But I have one problem,I'm using this ROM and whenever I charge my phone the led notification light does not change from red to green upon reaching 90% and battery always gets stuck at 99% no matter what.
I need to switched off my phone, plug the charger and then only the led notification light will change from red to green and the battery will be full

[Q] Can you disable the charging LED

I charge my phone with the dock on my bedside table. The LED being on all the time is annoying. I use light flow but it seems unable to control the charge state for the LED.
Anyone know if there is a way, short of rooting, to stop the battery LED.

I don't think there is way to disable charging LED,probably root will be able to
But for now,you can try to change the led colour to make it not that bright...

Yes.. Turn your phone screen down to disable

What do you mean? I've tried setting the brightness to minimum (and turning auto off) and it makes no difference. LED still shows while charging.
EDIT: Oh I see, you were being a wise-ass and suggesting I put the phone face down. Anyone got anything useful to contribute?
Kinda off topic but why the hell does the led turn green BEFORE its fully charged lol This is just so stupid because ive often seen the led turn green, and unplugged the charger thinking it was fully charged only to see it on 90+ %. Would be so much better if they just kept it orange and it does not turn green until it reaches 100!! Dont think you can turn it off either by the way but you can for notifications

I wrote about how I fixed this in the Z3C forum. Check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55818000
Cool, thanks. That basically works.
I am using Light Flow and it seems that if you try to use absolute black (HEX Code FF000000) it doesn't work and the default charging colour overrides it.
If you use any other colour it does work so I set the charging and fully charged events to use HEX Code FF000001 (which is as good as black) and that works! It still uses the normal charging colours when the screen is on but that's not a problem.
I can finally have a dark bedroom while the phone is docked!
Can a mod mark the title with [Solved]. I think this would be helpful to a few people.

I agree 100% but that's the code in the AOSP. Cyanogenmod, slimroms etc all do it. It's just the corporate stock roms that don't, generally - this is the first one I've seen which does it.
I have absolutely no idea why it's not perfectly clear to everyone that you only want the led to go green when the charge level reaches 100%, so that you don't have to perform two checks to see if the battery is charged: one for the LED colour, and a second to see if the value is 100.
