I have downloaded the netflix app and now it's asking for an update but then it won't download the update is anyone else seeing this??

Ok first of all, be ready for the tsunami of people telling you that this is the wrong thread BUT I'm not one of them.....I just got a couple of questions for you bud! Where did you download this Netflix app? Did you download it from XDA or did you found it on the internet somewhere or what? Another thing, as far as I know the netflix app doesn't work on the HTC EVO. I know for a while people were getting the one that's in this forum to work but I guess Netflix shut it off because they found out BUT if you some how rigged it to work again, I'll be more then willing to troubleshoot things out for you.

so Being an employee of verizon they always let us know when new things are coming out either software or phones. this is straight off their intranet:

Fresh out of the weekend since their support page was updated. A 5-3 release makes sense. Hopefully the radio version is different than the leak, which is reboot happy due to the radio. Software versions match though.

Thanks for the details. I look forward to the official, the leaked was not very stable.

This is the first time I've seen a release date for it posted.

i apologize if this info was already posted. I was just trying to share some info i just noticed. as many people have stated, i have not seen an actual date of release. I also have access to phones a few days before they are released so if there is anything i can do to help the community, please let me know. i have a thunderbolt, and being an employee, i can have my phone replaced whenever needed so i am willing to try pretty much anything (guinea pig anyones software). so if any dev wants me to try something i am more than welcome to.

Order & Chaos for Infuse

Has anyone successfully installed Order & Chaos on the Infuse? Seeing as the Infuse is such a close cousin to the Galaxy S phones and most of those phones officially support O&C, it seems like it should work fine on the Infuse but I haven't seen any threads about it.

it appears to be one of those high quality game loft games. they code games for the hardware and they may check the build.prop for compatability, so even a compatible device might not play the game if they havent added the device to there supported list. if it is in the market it may work if it is gameloft website only you may need to register the phone number and claim what carrier you have, they haven't really been supporting att devices for some reason, i didnt have much success downloading there games by anyones instruction but others claim it works. good luck, let us know your results!
i hate that they have all the checks because anyone with root and chianfire 3d can run games for other chipsets just fine. why not detect the gpu and cpu and have one universal install that has coding for several different api's? would it make the game that much bigger?

Yeah, it basically is WoW for your phone. I've been playing it for a couple of months on an old iPhone 3GS, an HTC Inspire and on my ASUS Transformer. If an MMORPG is your cup of tea, I can't recommend Order and Chaos enough.
Anywho, Order & Chaos is not officially supported on the Transformer but I was able to get it to work by rooting it, downloading the game cache manually, and using Titanium Backup to install an "all devices" version of the game. I haven't rooted the Infuse yet and I was hoping there would be a way to install Order & Chaos without rooting but it sounds like rooting might be the only way.

If you're up to try it, follow the instructions here:

Download the cache file referenced there and unzip it to /gameloft/games . Then PM me your email address and I'll send you the download link to the Titanium Backup backup of the game (I would post it here but I think it's considered warez). Then you unpack the TiBu backup to /TitaniumBackup , open TiBu, and restore the game from there.
Edit: I should mention that I don't know of this will actually work on the Infuse but this is how it worked on the Transformer.

Worked great, took a little bit to download and set up but seems to be fun. I believe I was granted 30 days of trial time...do you know what the cost will be afterwards?

with branding and market keys you won't see every app. use http://market.android.com to see all the apps. apps will push to the phone, or you can get the site from the phone if you change the useragent in the browser.

It is incompatible with the Infuse. I was looking at it yesterday and the market through the browser said it was a no go. I was disappointed, honestly.

It's not officially supported, but it works just fine. I don't understand why Gameloft does this with some of their games - they make their games available only for specific devices - but Order & Chaos definitely works with the Infuse. Use the .apk that zeus408 provided (I think it was the 9th post in this thread).

Downloaded and plays fine on my infuse but wont download on my buddies motorolla droid. I used the same apk as I did on my phone.

Weird, just downloaded this on my work pc, then e-mailed it to my gmail. In the e-mail, next to the attachment, when viewing on my phone, there is an "Install" button right there in the e-mail, which acted just like .apk installer. Is that a feature of APK installer, or what? Either way, that's pretty damn cool...

Keep in mind research before you flash a custom kernel or rom. If you do something wrong may cause a soft brick. Which can be solved with one the unbrick methods. Welcome to infuse.

I bricked a razr once. I'm in no hurry here.

Almost impossible to brick this phone where u can't get it back to stock. Just make sure u become familiar with gtg's unbrick program. Its a life saver or phone saver which ever way u wanna look at it.

my biggest complaint with the infuse is the gps won't lock. hoping a new rom will help.

Try flashing different modems...that will also help GPS lock faster and help with data speeds and signal

Try FusionXII rom. I got a fix in about 30 seconds. It's always odd how a standalone gps can get a fix in 30 seconds with no cell tower or internet data to help it along but a phone can't get a fix without them.

just flashed it last night, love it so far!. Qestion, do you use the kernel that came with it, or a customer one? don't know if I want to OC or not.

Hey everyone, I am also pretty new to XDA, just started try to get more involved with my infuse. I had a captivate prior to my infuse that my friend did a wonderful job flashing various roms to, and I finally have found both the initiative and time to work on doing things of a similar nature on my infuse.
So nice to meet all of you. I figured I'd post here to avoid having to make a new thread.

Thinking about posting in the nightlies thread that NFL Mobile doesn't work? Wondering if NFL Mobile has ever worked on CM? Hey, post it here! Because then all eleven bajillion of you who are going to post that same comment over and over and over again from now until whenever the hell football season is over can not clutter up the thread, and you can talk about football or something. Win-win. Or you could even talk about how to fix it, which might involve installing Verizon Login Service, but really, I have no idea. You could just install a different ROM. We know that works.

It has never, ever worked, at least as far back as CM6 (how long I've been using CM). And yet every year people ask the same question, and then say it's a dealbreaker for them. Every year.

There was a hacked version working on the Evo 4g CM7, I wanna say 2 seasons ago.

The latest update to nfl mobile worked for me on the cvpcs alpha build for a few days. It stopped a couple days ago.

It is now $5 a month (I had ditched it too when it was 15)
Unfortunately it has never worked in cm which is just one of the reasons I don't run cm (there are just too many things I use Daily that don't work correctly for it to me my DD at this time)
