I am having trouble with the getting my reverse CID from the Ace Hack kit.
This is what i get when i run menu option for Reverse CID:
Your reversed CID is: 00killing. killine. killate. ki date. of date.t of datout of ds out of is out er is ourver is server ib serveradb serv
I dont believe that to be right. I have looked older youtubes vidoes and saw different RCID. So what am i doing wrong?
Thanks
You have your SD card in right? I've seen this when no SD card is in the phone
no hay de queso no mas de papa
yea. i took it out to make sure i had it installed right
Try reformatting it. Full format fat 32 not quick format and try it again
no hay de queso no mas de papa

1. some people reported that the 2gb transcend card did not work for them when they tried to use it as a coldcard. Try to get another 2gb micro SD card.
2. did you format using: format E: /FS:FAT32 /A:4096 ? (very important for goldcard creation!)
2. did you copy the DREAMblah.IMG to the root of your SD card and reboot?

ga naar start >> uitvoeren >> type in cmd.exe
en in de terminal type je in:
format E: /FS:FAT32 /A:4096
waar E: je drive letter is van de sd kaart.
nb.: Fat32 kan maar tot 4 gb, dus met een 8gb kaart gaat dit niet lukken,
mij is het gelukt met de sd kaart die ik bij de g1 kreeg van t-mobile.

The "Not allowed" error only occurs if the goldcard wasn't generated properly.
Main issues are because you used the wrong cid. Be sure you selected the sd device and not the internal memory. Others are that the image wasn't written to the raw sectors but saved as a file to the sd card.

Why in Technical Specifications of the Inspire 4G say that is Internal memory storage 4 GB internal memory and the cellphone say me that is 1.21 GB in the Titanium Backup APP????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Its 4gb total. But only about 1gb is user accessible. There is an old thread about this where someone explained this in much better detail Ill see if I can find it
no hay de queso no mas de papa
i think its because you didnt add enough ?? to your confusion
ever wondered where your ROM resides? a rom is more than just /system. the partitions you DONT see are:
/data
/cache
/devlog
and a few more i am forgetting at the moment
Thanks for clarify my question. and sorry if it was before I don't found it :/
It also depends on how the NAND is setup. Certain partitions are considered more important and have more bytes allocated error correction and bad block recovery. Here's a document I found some time ago that explains it in excruciating detail:
http://tjworld.net/wiki/Android/HTC/EMMC/UnderstandingUserCapacity
Hi guys, this is my first post. English is not my native language, so sorry for any mistakes
One week ago i bought a TF300T in UK and now is with me in Spain. The first thing i did was unlocking the device and testing the CM9 rom. I restored the system and with the stock rom the device is not stable (random freezes and reboots).
Triying to get back to factory settings (to stop the reboots), i deleted the whole sd-card (internal memory) and the '/system' folder (don't know why i did it >_<).
Now, the tablet don't start. The screen show the Asus logo and the "Device is unlocked" message. I can access to the recovery (and i can change it) and to the "fastboot" mode, but the recovery can't mount the sd-card via USB, so i can't flash a new room.
I've tried to load a "system.img" via fastboot, but is useless, /system folder is still empty. To do this i've used the "mkyaffs2image" to create a system.img from an old clockworkmod backup.
In conclussion, i have this:
- Deleted /system partition
- Empty sd-card partition
- Full-functional recovery (clockworkmod and team win recovery project).
- Full-functional fastboot mode
- No access to internal memory (can't copy a new rom to internal memory)
I've been trying to create a valid system.img, but i don't how to (i've been reading about a linux tool called "mkfs.yaffs2" but the tutorial that i found seems to be useless, the tablet i still "bricked").
Can anybody help me?
Thank you
Removed see below post to push the files onto SD card
Another thing you can try is the bottom of my post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680570
do you have an SD card reader or a smartphone with SDCARD slot?
with that you can send the files to the sdcard and then try to flash the ROM in recovery.
btw por que borras /SYSTEM
yo aun no agarro valor para hacer el Unlock

My thread above should work as it will allow him to push a new stock rom or CM9 onto the device to flash again.

I thought that the adb was only "usable" with the OS. I've copied the original 9.4.3.29 firmware and the green little droid is smiling me now :')
Thank you very much ^^

The problem is that the TF300 recovery can't access to the external SD card reader. The sdcard partition is the internal memory.
Lo de borrar system es para pegarme con un calcetín sucio, lo sé

No problem, glad I found a solution for it.
If you have put the stock ROM on there you will loose Recovery and ROOT but its easy enough to put them back.
I'm trying different rom options, this thing reboots itself too frecuently

The Custom ROMs are still very early so if you are new to flashing I'd stick with the Stock one until the custom ones get a bit easier to restore.
The problem is that i have the reboots with the stock rom, that's why i'm testing everything

It shouldn't reboot on stock ROM. I would say you have a faulty unit, though if you have unlocked it you might not be able to get it swapped out.
Flash the Stock ROM and DON'T Root it or flash recovery, if it still reboots its faulty.
If it doesnt reboot when its unrooted and only reboots when its rooted you have a dodgy app on there causing it
I need to boot android off a external SD card.is this possible if so can you pleae guide through it
I realize your post was from nearly a year ago but I currently have the need to be able to boot an old device from external SD as the internal is irreparably corrupted or for whatever reason is not usable or fixable. I have tried every method I know of to fix the internal storage with no success including flashing pit files and the correct samsung firmware. Fortunately I can boot into recovery and fastboot mode so I still have options(hopefully.)
In any case I have found 2 (very old) threads with potential solutions to this issue . I find it somewhat surprising there is not more development on this as a great many have found ourselves needing to do this. Even though booting from ext SD is not ideal it would at least keep someone operable that didn't have a fallback device until they can obtain a new device.
There is one thread where the OP managed to use adb shell and/or unix to format the external SD for an ASUS tablet(TF701t.) I am not sure if others successfully used his method on other devices. Regardless it is an enlightening thread and led me to the 2nd one below about a using custom TWRP that enables dual boot between internal and external SD. I am going to try method 2 in just a few minutes on an old Galaxy Note 4 (N910C) that died on me recently. I'm going to have to copy the nandroid backups that are on the extSD to a computer and then figure out how to get TWRP to use one of them to restore to the same media where they reside. Hopefully a closer reading of the 2 threads will reveal the answer.
1.) Format ext SD via ADB shell thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf701/help/dead-mmc-ideas-t2830332
2.) Custom Dual boot TWRP thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2684052

Hello , your answer
https://github.com/phhusson/boot-diverter
Un développeur installe plusieurs versions d’Android sur son smartphone et prouve que le dual boot fonctionne
Android n'a jamais été très ouvert au dual boot et pourtant, un développeur français est parvenu à installer plusieurs ROM sur son Galaxy A71.

Good reading
No, you cant.

Well,I Will Try It Later,Beside My spare phone has broke (Redmi 2,It Can Be booted to fastboot, and recovery (unfortunately it need a adb to help it boot to twrp) the Chip Inside may be corrupted due to unsuccesful encryption)
Edit : I Will Update It By Editing this reply
Hi, it's the first time I use TWRP to make a backup of the rom before changing it, the backup was done correctly but I get red errors in the log file.
TWRP 3.3.1 unofficial Zenfone 5 ZE620KL
I start the system backup, selecting everything except the section: "Data (archive excluded) 0MB" (fails if selected), the backup proceeds correctly to the end, but during the backup many words "Unable to mount '/ are printed in the log" given 'invalid argument', even though you have not selected that empty partition. Is this error normal to occur, and above all there is a risk that the backup is not restorable for this error?
I don't know if it's safe to try to format that partition even if it's empty.
Thanks for the tips.
0 MB usually indicates userdata partition is not mounted, therefore one can't create backup. common reason is encryption.
but without recovery.log it's all guesswork, share your logs to get help
IMO the backup cannot have been successful, otherwise you would not have received the numerous error messages.
These are my log files, with and without the Data folder selected. I also add that I have root permissions, and I have disabled any type of screen and pin unlock, excluding the SIM but I do not think it can create problems for the SIM.

this could be the culprit. usually TWRP will ask for pattern to decrypt Data.
maybe set screen lock and try this?
https://blog.alxu.ca/unlocking-large-pattern-encryption-in-twrp.html
But is this partition the internal partition accessible to the user, where photos, music downloads, etc. are located
I'm interested to know if this partition is needed for ROM recovery, because for apps I have backups with Migrate and Titanium Backup, and photos I have in my pc, so if it's not needed for ROM recovery I could also format it to make it accessible, it seems to be the only 100% working way according to the community.
However, in the meantime I switched to OrangeFox as recovery, which supports my device officially and is more up to date.
userdata partition is the only* writeable partition at all, everything else is read-only. that's why it is called ROM (read-only memory)
if you don't care about factory reset, of course you can just format it to remove encryption.
*let's ignore cache misc fota etc for internal use only
So the data partition is not needed to restore Android OS?
Obviously, before formatting it, I will copy my photos and documents to the external memory.
not needed
Thank you.
