1. some people reported that the 2gb transcend card did not work for them when they tried to use it as a coldcard. Try to get another 2gb micro SD card.
2. did you format using: format E: /FS:FAT32 /A:4096 ? (very important for goldcard creation!)
2. did you copy the DREAMblah.IMG to the root of your SD card and reboot?

ga naar start >> uitvoeren >> type in cmd.exe
en in de terminal type je in:
format E: /FS:FAT32 /A:4096
waar E: je drive letter is van de sd kaart.
nb.: Fat32 kan maar tot 4 gb, dus met een 8gb kaart gaat dit niet lukken,
mij is het gelukt met de sd kaart die ik bij de g1 kreeg van t-mobile.

Zucht.... not alow 0028002
The "Not allowed" error only occurs if the goldcard wasn't generated properly.
Main issues are because you used the wrong cid. Be sure you selected the sd device and not the internal memory. Others are that the image wasn't written to the raw sectors but saved as a file to the sd card.

I know I am asking a stupid question... I am new in PocketPC, I've been search 10 pages in this forum.. But no one match..... could anyone tell me "How can I restore my ROM on my O2 mini!?"
I used romupdate.exe and ntrw.exe to backup the ROM to SD and write and SD image to my HDD..........
Thx again if anyone could help me!~
I tried writing the saved rom back "ntrw write oldrom.nb1 X:" ( where oldrom.nb1 is the backed up rom and X is the Card reader drive) , I figured it would be the same procedure as writing the new big storage rom I wanted to do this as a test before upgrading to the big storage . . . Just to make sure incase i wanted to re-flash it back to original . I used a mmc card of 128 mb to do this. all worked fine , copying the original rom, then saving it to pc then writing it back to the mmc card using the above mentioned command in ntrw. The thing is that after writing the oldrom (original rom) back to mmc card , when i check the space used on the card it shows it as empty and i don't get the "push power button to flash" option either . Then i figured ok if this doesn't work then i'll just download the orginal rom (shipped rom) from the xda developers ftp , but after seeing all the shipped rom versions that are available there i couldn't figure out which was the actual ver of the rom + extended rom that i need for my mini (to many 112 rom versions available for me to figure out which one was the exact same as mine) . Here is my current rom ver and Extended rom - ROM VER 1.12.00 WWE , Rom Date 05/28/05 , Radio Version 1.12.00 , Protocol Version ( no idea wtf it means but here it is ) 1337.42 and Extended Rom Version 1.112.920 . . . I can't seem to find anything similar to this on ftp .
So can any of the Tech Experts here take a few minutes of their precious time to help us noobs to atleast try out the big storage ?
Reading yr long paragraph w/o any seperation is kinda dizzy...

How do U check space? If U read the instruction carefully, the data written to the SD/MMC is not in the format of FAT16/FAT32/NTFS and therefore U should not able to check the size. In fact, Windows will says it's unformat and ask if U want to format it. So, check yr command for ntrw to see if U really write the rom back to SD

Make sure U wait at least 1 min. Also, left the MMC in the magician, do a soft-reset and wait

There's no need to be exact match in order to flash as long as U use MaUpgradeUt.exe to flash. All of them should work fine.
Good luck

The easiest way is to download the O2 ROM upgrade from here ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/Shipped_ROMS/o2asia_11100_922_11100_ship.exe and install. This will restore your O2 to factory including your extended ROM
I had the same scenario
That's right. i upgraded my imate jam to ROM 1.13 extrom 1.13 and radio 1.13, then followed the instruction of how to do the bigstorage. so i dumped my rom to my SD card then modified it using mksBigStorager tool the size changed from 122 mb to 65 mb only. anyways i dumped it back to my SD card. but the SD card is still readable by my imate when it's not by windows. and when i try to go to the Bootloader mode it doesn't show the message that asks to press the power button.
still wokring on it...
Thanx alot for your help guys , unfortunately i still can't get the flash option . . . still working on it to
Updated : - Ok , I Finally found a solution to the press power to flash problem i was having . The thing is not to Format SD/MMC card after reading rom to PC (ntrw read myrom.nb1), read the rom to PC using the usual ntrw command , modify your big storage rom , then write the modified big storage Rom from your PC to SD/MMC card using the known method (ntrw write myrom.nb1) . . . Do Not Format The Card Before you write the modified rom . . . Just write over the old existing image on the card , goto boot loader as usual then you'll get the press power to flash right away. Hope this helps

clearly it is not seeing the card let alone the file correct.. but when i plug in the usb to the lap top or use the card holder for the micro on the laptop it sees the laptop sees all the files on the card...
by the way if it is at least at the point of trying to find the card in the terminal emmulator am i at root.... i know this might sound like a stupid question but then again.. look at the number of posts i have...
thanks for your help
at this point it is the principal to accomplish this.... hours working on this and going strong..
trying your update file... while doing that i have a question again..
does it matter that this phone is still... rc19
also... i am using my laptop card reader to place files on the card .. i assume that is not an issue..
thank s
Try moving the file to your sdcard with the card in your phone. Meaning, plug your phone into your computer and transfer the file over. Then unplug the phone from the computer and try the update again.
did it and still no luck..
keeps saying... cd/sdcard; not found
i have been at this all day... there must be some easy ansswer to all this pain
it is not seeing the card..
maybe it is the emulator
but when i do the code to see if i have the img going it comes back with a 1
real quick.... r u sure ur sd card is discoverable in ur settings ?
You have the recovery image installed. I said this over at androidcommunity, but I think the problem is with your sdcard...I think a different card may fix your issue.
it looks like it is trying to install from card but cant... when i do the power on and hold the home key and then do alt+l..then alt+s ... i get
a few statements the last is E:cant open / sdcard/update.zip
no such directory
installation aborted..
maybe i should create a file sdcard and place theupdate file in it.?

What he was suggesting was to take the sdcard out and create a dir named sdcard on the phone and stick the update in there...then when he reboots and does the update the phone would pull the file from there...but after thinking about it...the boot.img would erase it upon shutdown..I believe..anyways it wouldn't work that way....

Okay. You will need a 256MB or less SD card.
Format it to FAT32.
Place one of my SD version ROMs (one my HERAIMG.nbh files) onto the SD card with nothing else on it.
Boot phone to bootloader.
Use the volumeslider down to select that you want to flash the ROM when you see in the lower left hand corner red numbers counting from 10 to 1.
Wait..
Wait some more..
Press volumeslider down again when it says successful.
SD CARD HAS TO BE LESS THAN 256MB OR LESS

Any post that has [ROM] in front of it and has my name underneath it is called a ROM Suite. I have about 4 downloads in each Suite.
Two for Herald users and two for Wing users.
And for each user I have an SD version (the HERAIMG.nbh) and an RUU (RomUpdateUtility version).
Now to flash one of my ROMs you need to be HARDSPL'd. Which means that your IPL and SPL need to be greater than 4.xx.xx.xx.
You originally stated that your "IPL is 4.14.0002" & your "SPL is 4.10.0000." So you should be all set to flash my ROMs.. If you're not sure, then on any one of my ROM Suite threads get the HARDSPL folder and follow the directions that are in the folder.
thnks very much, but i cant install those three files into device as the set is stuck at showing IPL and SPL. i downloaded HARDSPL folder to my desktop. pliz help as to how i do it. when i use rom utility says invalid vendor and when i use memory card it says security not cleared, when i change .nbh on mmc says checking sd contents then back to three colors IPL and SPL
Have you tried flashing an original ROM to your device?
Look HERE.
thanks i tried that rom says invalid vendor. so i downloaded HardSPL (Wing-Herald) folder but active sync not recognise device. rom utility says update error. how best can i do it
You've tried the original shipped ROMs from post number #9?
hera100 no solution
yes i have tried when i conect usb device shows usb but activesync wont pick it, i tried downloading itrib rom on your post it stops at 3% the rest they stop at 2% they says update error. when i use memory card says invalid certificates. plizzz help
anyone to help with my hera100 activesync wont recognise but when i use rome utility phone flashes up to 2% anywhere to do it or must i throw it away pliz plz help. thanx in advance

so no solution as yet for my hera100. is it possible to flash using RJ45 cable???

Your reversed CID is: 00killing. killine. killate. ki date. of date.t of datout of ds out of is out er is ourver is server ib serveradb serv
I dont believe that to be right. I have looked older youtubes vidoes and saw different RCID. So what am i doing wrong?
Thanks
You have your SD card in right? I've seen this when no SD card is in the phone
no hay de queso no mas de papa
yea. i took it out to make sure i had it installed right
Try reformatting it. Full format fat 32 not quick format and try it again

Hi guys, this is my first post. English is not my native language, so sorry for any mistakes
One week ago i bought a TF300T in UK and now is with me in Spain. The first thing i did was unlocking the device and testing the CM9 rom. I restored the system and with the stock rom the device is not stable (random freezes and reboots).
Triying to get back to factory settings (to stop the reboots), i deleted the whole sd-card (internal memory) and the '/system' folder (don't know why i did it >_<).
Now, the tablet don't start. The screen show the Asus logo and the "Device is unlocked" message. I can access to the recovery (and i can change it) and to the "fastboot" mode, but the recovery can't mount the sd-card via USB, so i can't flash a new room.
I've tried to load a "system.img" via fastboot, but is useless, /system folder is still empty. To do this i've used the "mkyaffs2image" to create a system.img from an old clockworkmod backup.
In conclussion, i have this:
- Deleted /system partition
- Empty sd-card partition
- Full-functional recovery (clockworkmod and team win recovery project).
- Full-functional fastboot mode
- No access to internal memory (can't copy a new rom to internal memory)
I've been trying to create a valid system.img, but i don't how to (i've been reading about a linux tool called "mkfs.yaffs2" but the tutorial that i found seems to be useless, the tablet i still "bricked").
Can anybody help me?
Thank you

with that you can send the files to the sdcard and then try to flash the ROM in recovery.

The problem is that the TF300 recovery can't access to the external SD card reader. The sdcard partition is the internal memory.

If you have put the stock ROM on there you will loose Recovery and ROOT but its easy enough to put them back.

The Custom ROMs are still very early so if you are new to flashing I'd stick with the Stock one until the custom ones get a bit easier to restore.
The problem is that i have the reboots with the stock rom, that's why i'm testing everything

It shouldn't reboot on stock ROM. I would say you have a faulty unit, though if you have unlocked it you might not be able to get it swapped out.
Flash the Stock ROM and DON'T Root it or flash recovery, if it still reboots its faulty.
If it doesnt reboot when its unrooted and only reboots when its rooted you have a dodgy app on there causing it
