[Q] Return to stock 3.2 HTJ85B - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed Tiamat Hammerhead 2.1 and now I'm trying to return to stock but don't want to brick my system. I've searched for returning to stock but everything I have seen says to make sure you are running build HWI69 or 3.1 bootloader. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
Edit: I guess I should say that I have a 32GB Wifi Model

You can flash back using my sticky images in my signature.

[Q] I need the stock ntelos kernel for the samsung showcase

Ok, so I am new to flashing and roms, but I have ntelos and I accidentally flashed
An i9000 kernel, well turns out it won't run on my i500...surprise surprise
Well then I found a cellular south kernel for it and flashed that so I could try to get it going again well that worked,i have a phone again. But I want my stock ntelos kernel back. Does anyone have the stock ntelos i500 showcase kernel? Or know where to get it?
Here's the stock kernal for ntelos http://db.tt/yMQn2FD . I used sgs kernal flasher to back it up. Make sure you disable lagfix or you will brick your phone do to stock not supporting ext 4. Personally I use the otb touchwiz kernal on the fascinate forum. Also before you start flashing roms you might want to write down your phones settings using dialer code ##3282#.

well that didnt work for me...
but i tell you what did, doing a system restore in cwm and taking it and trading it at ntelos for a milestone x
Well, as we say time and time again, don't flash things that aren't for your phone.
The zip I gave you wasn't flashable via recovery

How do you install the kernel you posted? I am in the same boat I suppose. Bricked My Ntelos Showcase and now im running US Cellular firmware. I dont know if the kernel would bring it back to NTELOS or if I really need some kind of a Full Flash to do that. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
I'll send you a pm

[Q] Update to 2.3.6 from non-stock kernel

Hi
I know the question has probably been asked multiple time but I can't find the answer. I have a I9020T with a custom kernel which seems to blocks the stock OTA update (Android 2.3.4/GRJ22 to Android 2.3.6/GRK39F).
What is the simplest way to update, I have a full titanium backup but would prefer not to use it.
Just a link to a thread with the answer would be greatly appreciated
One way is to use Rom Manager .. scroll down to stock Rom and flash the 2.3.3 ... brings stock everything...=]
Edit: I'm using the i9020A Model... but I guess it will recognize ur model when using Rom manager

Nexus s - overcoming status 7 when running OTA update to Jelly Bean

Hi Folks!
I am retuning newbie to the XDA forum but, I cut my teeth on the original XDA... But, Android is a new arena...
I have Nexus S - i9020 - no suffix, GSM, purchased in the UK.
1. I am currently running a rooted installation of ICE 4.0.4. The recent OTA update to Jelly Bean failed with a status 7 - from my research, it's probably because I am running rooted - ?
2. I tried to return to stock state and that's where a bewildering array of stock images where suggested on other threads on this forum. The problem is; where can I find a stock ICE ROM for my i9020 device?
3. Incidentally, it would be good if somebody could provide a breakdown of model number and whether stock ROMs are interchangeable?
4. If I inadvertently try to flash an incorrect ROM, will the checks stop the process or do I run the risk of bricked device?
Thanks for your attention.

Thanks for the reply.
I fixed the problem using the "international" ROM version of stock ICS 4.0.4 ROM - I flash that to unroot the phone, then applied OTA update.
Thanks again.

Did you make a backup of the stock ROM before you went to a custom ROM?

Stock Nexus 7 2013 WiFi ROM KOT49H Android 4.4.2

Hi,
I'm using only stock rom, rooted and with xposed mods on my Nexus devices. Because of trying some things out, I want to have a stock rom update.zip from the latest Factory Image on my device to have the security to flash it back to stock without a computer.
So, I've managed with some help this update.zip. It's absolutely pure stock. Not rooted, not deodexed or anything else (to root, there is a link below)
I think, some of you are thinking the same and so I want to share this update zip. I hope you have fun with it.
It works with CWM and TWRP Recovery!

Nope, just the ROM itself, meaning no stock recovery or anything else you'd get by flashing the stock image
