Make sure you had stock recovery on the phone. Other recoveries may make the udpate fail. Try another USB port and reinstall the drivers. The LG and/or the LG Updater program are very picky about USB ports. During the update the LG Update tool resets the USB port after each part of the phone is flashed (i.e., baseband, recovery/boot and system. On mine when it told me to remove the battery I refused and simply removed the USB cable, plugged it back and restarted the update and it worked. This is just the program not seeing the phone reconnecting to the computer and timing out. I heard the phone connect before I got the stupid remove battery message, so I decided to try a simply cable pull and reinsertion first and that did the trick for me (was at 5% in SW update screen on phone). It reset again at 56% and 76% (dropped to 75% after reconnect) but this time the phone reconnected and the software saw it in time to continue the update normally. Good luck.

[Q] Need Help bricked LG Optimus T....

Is there anyway to turn on usb debugging on a bricked lg optimus t ???
Found that on one forum
-> My Optimus T did the same thing when I was trying to do the official update from LG. This is what worked for me. Disconnect usb cable from phone. Pull battery. Restart computer. after computer reboots, leave battery out of phone and plug usb cable back in. Let windows install drivers. After drivers are installed, go into device manager and disable android modem. will not update if modem is enabled. It will say you have to reboot pc for changes to take effect, click no. log off pc and log back in, do not reboot. after you log back in you can get the software updater from LG and it will reflash your phone. Worked for me anyways. I thought my phone was bricked, but this saved me.

Hard Brick on Motorola XT925

Well, it just doesn't boot, keys combinations doesn't work anymore and my computer only recognizes the phone if I connect it without the battery plugged ( disassembled ), then the LED turns on green and nothing else happens.
I downgraded to the ICS Version of the device and worked perfectly fine, I used it for about 2 months, but when I noticed the lack of functionality compared to 4.4.1 KitKat I decided to upgrade it via OTA. I downloaded the JB Rom version via OTA to prepare my device again for KitKat, "Install Now", but when the flashing process ended it never turned on again, I almost tried everything without finding a solution. But, when I was trying to do something by my self I noticed something; I can't access to the phone with the battery plugged, but when I remove the battery from the connector and plug it into my PC the LED turns on green and the computer detects that there's a device plugged in without showing any dialog box of which devices is.
If there's any help I would appreciate it. Thanks

It says that I plugged an "Unknown USB Input Device" not detected by RSD but by Windows.
Installing Motorola Drivers didn't solved that problem
Edit: Plugged in without the battery connected to the main board, but the screen it's connected to the device by the two Flex

G920F, USB MTP, FASTBOOT not working anymore.

Hi all,
So I have a strange problem, a while back I discovered that I can't connect my S6 to my computer and or other computers, whatever usb cable I use the device is not detected at all. and only charging works.
I already tried more USB cables and validated they work with other devices, I also discovered the USB is not detected in fastboot mode, so I can't flash any images anymore over USB.
I also discovered that I might have flashed a wrong stock rom a few months back and I never tried to connect it to the USB in the meanwhile, when I trace the baseband version it says it's Asian..:crying: And this device is a dutch PHN. The device has ADB working over WIFI and root enabled, it also has TWRP installed and even there MTP is not working!
However i'm afraid there is no way I can flash a stock rom back to the device without a working fastboot, unless there are flashable zips.
What do you guys think?
- MTP does not work
- Fastboot works but USB is not detected (odin, device manager etc).. with all kinds of cables.
- ADB Shell + Root Works (Only over wifi)
- I got a full backup of all partitons, created it with TWRP.
- It's stull running android 5.1.1
Best Regards,
Toetje

I can´t belive it, someone who has the same problem then me. A little wierd is that I got 2 phones here.... Got my S6 which I´m using atm and some days ago a friend gave me a A5. Actually the A5 has exactly the same problem and one more problem is, that the "Home Button" of the phone is not working. No chance to root it at all.
It was like this.... I came back home with the A5 and first I thought about was rooting it. Restarted and tryed to go into "Recovery Mode" which wasn´t working, same as going into "Download Mode". So my first thought was that some of the buttons arn´t working. I was right, it was the home button which is without any function. My next idea was rooting over Laptop with Odin. Enabled USB Debbuging, connected a data cable..... and usb connection was not working... only charging!
After like a minute of trying and no success I wen´t eat first. When I came back i tryed again and USB Debbuging asked me to accept the Laptop. (Till now I didn´t thought about that it could be my first and my last time I will have a working USB connection.)
I wen´t into "Recovery Mode" thought about restarting cuz I wanted to go into "Download Mode". So I restarted and that was FATAL.... since then I had no chance anymore till yet to get a working USB connection. No matter which PC, Laptop, USB / Data-Cabel. And since the "Home Button" is not working, I don´t even know how to get Root.
Right now I´m asking myself if it could be a Firmware related problem?! I mean, when my friend gave me the phone there wasn´t the newest update installed on it so I just updated it. It´s a A500FU running stock Android 6.0.1 newest DBT Firmware..... and also I´m not able to change it without having a working USB connection.
Greets!

I ordered a new USB port board, will let you know the results!
Any results after changing the usb port?
Did fast charge still work for you? And this replacing the USB port work? I think this is related to a broken USB ic. For me replacing the USB port didn't help
Sometimes it's a bad charging port and / or liquid damage to the charging port.
If your home button clicks but does not work it could be liquid damage near the home button. Same goes for power and volume buttons.
I just fixed a S6 edge plus yesterday power button not working, liquid damage all around power button area, fixed burnt components and corroded pins.

Strange behavior and restarting [N915FY]

The phone was running 6.0.1 MM stock when I got it.
It booted normally and worked for a few seconds, everything worked fine and after 10 - 15 seconds it froze and rebooted and it kept on doing that until I removed the battery.
I connected it to the PC but it wasn't detected by odin (the drivers are installed correctly). I got this message from Windows: "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I tried a few times and everytime this happened.
I kinda gave up but I tried to connect the phone to pc one more time and it got detected by odin like nothing has ever happened.
I flashed Lollipop but it was restarting at the end of the bootanimation.
I bought a new battery.
The "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" problem still exists.
Somehow got detected again so I flashed TWRP and while in recovery the phone "works fine" even with the charger unplugged.
The phone is still useless tho.
Flashed back MM stock and the issue still exists.
I already ordered replacement USB port. It will come soon so i will check if the detection problem is caused by broken USB or software issues.
Also there is a small probability that my "new" battery could be dead too.
hey, bro, i have SM-N915G.
From last few days, i am facing the same issue.
All of a sudden phone keeps rebooting itself until I connect it to the power supply.
after connecting to the charger it gets booted properly.
please help me if you found any solution.

Question USB Connection Issues

Brief: Having issues with USB in Windows 11 and my Le2115. Right now, Windows sees the device, and adb devices returns a serial number (with debugging on); however, the phone is not seeing that it is plugged in at all. It is not charging, no transfer options, nothing.
History: So, it all starting sometime after trying to get rid of OS13 and returning to stock, I bricked my phone pretty good. Ended up using MSM and loaded an india version, went back to a Global version, lost touchscreen after updating to v12, used MSM to go back to a different rom (OS-11.2.4.4.LE25AA... don't remember the previous ones) and then updated to C65.
After rebooting to C65, I plugged by phone it that I got no response from either Windows 11 or from my phone. Swapped cables, swapped ports, rebooting both devices, uninstalled Oneplus drivers, rebooted and reinstalled them... nothing worked. Plugged in my LG V60 and Windows would see it fine. Put the phone into Recovery and tested with fastboot devices and the phone showed up fine. Reset the phone to factory... no change; Window would not need see it.
Reflashed the phone to the OS-11.2.4.4.LE25AA ROM via MSM. Booted up the first time and Windows saw the phone just fine and the phone gave me the connection type notification and began charging. Successfully tested file transfer and adb devices. Ran the first update... tested it and everything worked fine. Turned on Debugging to make sure that adb and fastboot worked... they did. Ran the C48 OTA update.
After rebooting, when I plugged in the USB-C Warp cable, Windows defects the phone as an MTP device (sm8350-mtp in device manager), but the phone did not see that it was plugged in (no charging, no notification). Turning on Default USB Configuration allows me to change it to other modes when plugging it in (File Transfer will even let me browse the phone via Explorer), and the phone will show in device manager as a Oneplus 9 G5, but the phone never indicates that it is plugged in and will not charge at all. Plugging the phone into a USB 2 or 3 port seems to do the same thing. Fastboot in recovery works fine. Turning of Default USB Configuration causes it to either detect as a generic USB Composite Device or as an MTP device (not sure how/when/what causes it to change). Charging and warp charging on a power brick works fine and it does show up in the phone.
Seems I am going in circles now and not sure how to get out of this cycle. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
[TMO To Global] [No Dual-SIM Bug]
Requirements:- * Unlock Token * T-Mobile MSM Tool * OOS 11.2.10.10 and OOS 12 C.48 Global * Fastboot Enhance Instructions:- 1) MSM back to TMobile OOS11 and unlock bootloader through unlock token 2) Extract the payload file from...
