[Q] Using 4% of battery an hour in deep sleep - Samsung Infuse 4G

So for the past 2-3 weeks my Infuse's battery has gone down (not gone down TO) 20-40% by the time I wake up in the morning if it's at 100% when I go to sleep. I use CPUSpy to see what state it was in and it appears to have been in deep sleep. So what's my Infuse's problem? This just started in the last few weeks, it used to use 1% of battery every few hours in deep sleep.
It's running infusion kernel but I'm pretty sure it was fine running that before this was noticed.

Cell standby is 40%, display 24, idle 20(that seems odd...), wifi is 11% but i have that off when I'm sleeping, and the rest are below 5%.
Don't know if I'm doing this right but wakelocks:
LocationFriendService 7h9m37s count: 2512 16.8% (says this is google maps..)
NetworkLocation Check Location (what the hell, I have network location off...) 4h 6m 33s count: 8432 9.6%
WifiService 2h 46m 59s count:13402 6.5%
The rest are one percent or less and there are few. So what's going on with the location services I don't have activated?
Also, I forgot to mention my key backlight has a seizure when it's off, every once in a while it'll go on and off 10 times in a second.
Edit: I restarted my phone, charged it to 100%, froze Gmaps, and it appears to be doing alright.

Help on what's draining my battery?

The battery life on my Desire is horrible, and I would like to acheive some of the great battery performance I've been reading of other members. I've got LeeDroid 2.1a A2SD+ ver., with the 38.44 radio (I installed older versions in hopes of acheiving better battery). I am now getting far worse performance then when I had new versions of LD/radio, because "something" is draining the battery. ie. Before, I'd get 15% loss per hour during the day, and 1% loss per hour at night during my sleep, with the screen and wifi ON, (using GentleAlarm night clock, which shows the time but on a dimmed screen). Now, I have a 75% loss during 8 hrs of sleep! I even installed "Juice Defender" (Pro ver. with "Ultimate Juice"), which turns off wifi for a few hours, etc. It did nothing to improve battery life, or possibly made things worse. I tried uninstalling some programs, but nothing's changed yet. How can I find out which program or configuration is causing the battery drainage problem?
Battery Indicator Pro stats (8h40m since unplugged):
DISPLAY: 42%
CELL STANDBY: 26%
WIFI: 25%
ANDROID SYSTEM: 5%
PHONE IDLE: 2%
Quick Info stats:
Running: 95.9%
Screen on: 95.9%
Wifi On: 95.7%
Wifi Running: 95.6%
Wi-Fi drains faster than anything, if you're not using it then shut it off! Also, 15% drain per hour during the day and 1% at night isn't that bad. I would switch back to your first configuration. Maybe you're not taking into account how much you're really using your phone?
Well I'm comparing battery performance when I am NOT using my phone at all (during my sleep), and its night and day. When I was getting 15% per hr, 1% loss at night, that was with wifi ON (ie. JuiceDefender was not installed then, and it cuts off Wifi at scheduled times). I'd like to switch back to my first configuration, except that's my prob lem: I have no idea what that configuration was exactly. Lots of programs installed and uninstalled since. I'm going to take a look at a few apps though that might help me understand how to control battery performance.

battery usage normal?

When in standbye overnights my phone goes from 60-70% to totally flat, I use battery monitor and I notice the phone use -100 till -200 Ma while I don't have any sync going on?
Somebod else with monitor app please give me our numbers
I have noticed tha cpu works (without any app loaded) about 35% -45% with no reason...that eats battery !!! any other have noticed that ?
I can make a video to proove that !!! Maybe with 2.3 the resoults will be better
I will give you my experiments:
First night(GMT+3 timing):
from (2-3)am: Wireless on, battery percentage still 19%
from (3am-4pm) wireless of, battery percentage is still 19% !!
Second night:
from (9am-5pm) battery percentage was 99%, when I wake up there were two missed calls and the battery percentage was 90% !!
Third night(Last night):
from (9am-6pm) battery percentage was 70%, when I wake up there were one message and the battery percentage was still 70% !!
* It is not nights, these days I actually sleep in the morning, and the timing doesn't mean I sleep all that, but before going to sleep I use my laptob.
I had the same issue in the first few days. I dont know if you installed some apps, but after I deactivated "green power" (for saving battery life) the battery lasts very long in standby mode.
so deinstall apps which say they would save battery and close all apps (browser etc.) before you sleep.
I dont know if the app was responsible for that or just the battery which needs a few days to generate 100% power.
Had mine for 2 weeks now, battery lasts 10 hours from 100% to dead, same as my Desire did.

Battery monitoring and optimizing apps did suck most of the juice out of my battery. Deleted all,my battery easily makes 12 hours now

I don't have any numbers but my phone goes from 100% to around 93% to 95% overnight depending on how many emails I receive while it's in standby.
About the same as my old Galaxy S.

That sounds great!
My Galaxy S2 would lose 30-40% overnight with a few emails...
I can't wait till I get my O3D.

[Q] Battery Usage Incorrect

Hi everyone, I was going to wait until tomorrow to post a question but something weird happened just now that changed the situation. I recently got a replacement, so I decided to root, run xposed and greenify. I was testing out the battery and it was doing fairly well. I got almost 2 days with 3 hours of SoT. This morning after unplugging I noticed Android System (or Android OS) was taking a significant chunk of %. However, it didn't seem as though my battery was draining a lot. I tried rebooting and charghing back upto 100% and it still kept happening. At times it was Android System and at other times it was Android OS.
I decided to download BBS since from reading the forums that seems to be a way to determine the culprit. At first BBS was showing a wake lock ratio of about 85% wake lock and 15% deep sleep. This was having the phone on for about an hour. It showed it being kept awake for about 40 min or so. The battery wasn't draining incredibly fast, but the stock battery history chart was showing that it was taking about 50% of the battery. I decided to just let it be and see how it does throughout the day so if it continues I can just post the log here. After a few hours it seemed to have gone away. While it was still showing that Android OS was taking about 30%, the wake lock/deep sleep was getting better where at this point after 10 hours it's about 6 hr 45 min of deep sleep, 3h 12m of wake lock with 1 hour and 2 min of SoT. The battery is at 71%. So, there doesn't seem to be an extreme drain. However, what was really strange was I was just looking though GravityBox settings (only added day to status bar clock, not sure if it was after that) and the battery usage just changed on the stock battery, and GSam, where Android OS is showing that it took 73% of the battery and even the screen which was on for an hour only took 6%.
Has anyone encountered this? I can post the log from the first hour and the log from now if anyone is willing to look at it. Thanks!
I'm rooted, with TWRP, xposed module with gravity box, greenify, and app oppsX. Those are my only mods.
derp. misread.

DOZE stopped working ?

Let me start by saying that DOZE had been working great for me since the upgrade. My usage patterns haven't changed, yet DOZE seems to have stopped working..
Usage pattern:
- Phone is only used during work hours (Mon - Friday 730am - 400pm) and is at 100% charged by 400pm.
- ALL other times phone is sitting tucked away in drawer and not being used.
Up until this past weekend DOZE has been working great. I'd grab my phone at 730am and it would have 93+ % battery remaining to start my day.
This past Sunday I grabbed my phone (after sitting in the drawer since Friday at 400pm) only to be surprised to see the battery low message and battery being at 13%. I put it on the charger and let it fully charge. I then rebooted the phone to rule out anything that may have messed things up. After using google maps for a bit I retired the phone around 400pm with about 85% batttery. Monday morning, 730 rolls around and I'm down to 53% battery @#$ I rebooted the phone again to try to rule out anything that could mess it up. Phone was at 100% again by 400pm and found it's way to the drawer until 730am the next morning only to be at 56% @#$$#@. I also computed the total amount of mAh used by all listed apps under battery and it only amounted to 363mAh. That's approx. 10% of the battery capacity, not 44% @#$
I'm not sure what the heck could have changed @#$#
- Under Battery Optimation the only app NOT optimized is : Google Play Services
- Under Battery - Phone Idle shows 17 hours idle
Again, my usage patterns and settings have not changed prior to this starting to happen so I'm a bit at a loss here.
Since DOZE is completely autonomous and quite new I was wondering if there might be anyway to troubleshoot this ?
Here is a pic of my Battery Usage screen :
Same with me. Worked fine for a couple of weeks(where battery drain was about 3-4% in the night) but now battery drains by 25-30% every night.
Another day, same behaviour.
This time just prior to unplugging at 400pm and retiring to drawer for the night I swiped away all recent apps and rebooted the phone
The picture below shows all but twos apps/services.
They are Cell Standby @ 2% and Google Services @ 1%.
And that's it @#$
I think the culprit to my issue lies in WIFI ....

Disabling WIFI seems to let my phone enter Doze mode w/o issue.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the OnePlus 5's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I am not too pleased about idle battery drain.
Overnight, about 8h it consumes about 3%-5%. Sometimes more than 10%, if the device doesn't go in deep sleep for whatever reason..
If commute, it takes more battery (maybe sensors, switch to mobile data, etc).
About 20% in 9hours. wifi most of the time with about 1h hour on mobile data. And movement in pocket about 20-30mins.
My experience with idle drain has been good overall. Getting around 0.5% per hr
My idle drain is horrendous. I'm getting around 20% drain over night (7h sleep) with nothing enabled but WiFi. And that's with Greenify. I'm thinking of rooting and flashing the EX Kernel, but wanted to wait for an obviously outstanding major update before doing so.

Android System, Phone Services + Google Services, but only if WiFi/data is on. If they are off the battery life is perfect.

Battery was good until yesterday, 8hrs SOT circa. Suddenly battery starts draining and can I barely reach 2,30 SOT. Any idea? No apps showed in battery page, the only app I downloaded yesterday was Textra SMS (Beta), but it's very strange that it can drains so much.

For me Chrome was a big culprit for battery drain. Try to delete the cache and the storage of the app. You can as well disable and it and re enable it. That should be enough. Anyway, Chrome is a battery hog. I am thinking about switching to Opera or Firefox. Any recommendation for browsers?
I use Firefox with the add-on 'Dark Background and Light Text'. I have it set to turn the background of all pages to true black.
2% over night (7 hours) pretty pleased. But it was even better on OP3 when the drain over night was 0-1%
I'm on RR with no GAPPS and lost about 1.5% in about 8.5hrs of not being used (sleep + getting ready in the AM)
I have TASKER, and have set airplane mode to come on 8pm - 3am.
Currently getting roughly 2-3% drain in that "airplane mode" time

What the? Do you have gestures enabled (eg: double tap to wake)?
In my opinion it consumes too much.. one time i got about 3% drain in about 8-9h idle with wifi on and no commute.
That's why i hate android idle drain. A never-ending issue.
SOT only 34 mins, 1h mobile data, the rest on wifi.
I've disabled gestures, location history, no google fit, etc etc
Not bad here. About .3% per hour overnight. So about 2% overnight. That's on 4G as I rarely ever have my phone on WiFi. I also have email at to push (2 accounts) and I usually turn off the sync stuff in my Google account. Things like app data, calendar, contacts and the rest. I just sync when I make changes like adding a contract I then toggle the contacts on then off kind of thing. No need to let it sync all day and night for nothing imo.
I just have that drain when location is set to "high accuracy". When its set to "battery saving" everthing seems fine.
I don't know what's wrong with my device/apps. Several times now i had a standby drain in around 7 hours of 30%+. I didn't plug my phone in overnight because of Dash charging, when I went to bed, the battery was at 37%. The next morning I overslept massively and completely missed my shift because my battery died over night. This is with airplane mode on during 75% of the night. The highest drain in battery settings was displayed for "Android System" with around 12% or so, but that was with the last day counted in. I feel like the battery drain stats in settings are completely unreliable...
Except from that I get normal battery life during the day though, although during the first few days standby drain was higher than screen on drain...

Yeah man you need to download accubattery or something to monitor the drain. That's ridiculous. And yeah I've been kinda confused about the stock battery stats as well. It seems to tell you nothing.
I have noticed a lot more battery drain since the 911 update a few days ago. I was getting 7ish sot now I'm under 5hrs. I'll bet I'm not the only one who noticed it though. It'll be fixed don't worry.

I had AccuBattery installed at first but it didn't give me any meaningful insights so I uninstalled it a few weeks later.
I normally only get around 3 hours of SOT, but I'm not into mobile gaming or YouTube so that is normal...
I notice significant drain in idle after the 4.5.6 update last week. Android system seems to be the culprit, but not sure what's process under this is actually causing the problem.
All radios on, and 2 mail accounts syncing.
