Switching the radio - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hey everyone, I own a HTC Desire Z with bell. Recently, I was trying to get rid of clockwork recovery by flashing my phone to its stock image. I found the ruu but in the end it shows up with a battery error. I dont have a pc10img for my phone either. Anyways, while I was trying to do that, I think i might have messed up something. My phones radio, keeps turning off by it self. I have to restart the phone to get it on again. Is there a fix for this? Thank you for your help.

Strange flashing/phone issue

Ok i have been having trouble with my phone for the past few weeks. It started with pimbackup not wanting to open then esclated into things like my phone getting stuck booting. Usually im able to fix any issues by ether flashing a new rom, hard resetting, and if nether of thoughts two work flashing the factory ship rom. But recently non of the above work at all. While this idea is WAY out there im wondering if mayb the memory on my phone is going bad? Rom flashes always go through but booting and installing almost never go through on the first try even with a hard reset after flash.
Sorry i know thats alot to read, if anyone has any idea of what could be wrong or tests i could do i would greatly appreciate it!
FYI im currently running the new spt15 hyper dragon: current issue no usb connection and same boot problems.
does no1 have any idea about the problem i an experiencing?

[Resolved] Getting stuck on go go go

Hi,
Alright, im totally new to this; I'm trying to run Android on my HD2...
So, All guides I found kind of talked about the same things:
1, Flash phone with HSPL3
2. Flash phone with Radio 2.15.50.40
3. Flash magldr v.1.13
4. Download a NAND ROM -- I was first trying with Cope's Cyanogen Rom, kept getting stuck on GO GO GO! (in magldr) after a while I actually got it to work, but couldn't get data to work, the first time I restarted the phone it got stuck again....
Then I flashed official tmobile wm, got rid of magldr, and started all over, but this time I tried flashing MDJ's Cyanogen Rom, however after resolving several previous issues i got stuck on GO GO GO! again...
also, I have tried with both magldr v 1.11 and 1.13
-------------------
Is there something wrong with the previous steps I took? Any suggestions?
There is another thing that was always wrong with my phone which might be causing this problem; ever since I got it it would sometimes get stuck on the first purple "stay together" screen and not want to move... Even after I restart the screen would persist, and the only solution was to let it 'chill' for a while before attempting to turn on again...[It got stuck even when I flashed the wm to get rid of mangldr]
So any suggestions on how could I get Android running ???
Thanks
Never mind....
It seems to have fixed itself!!! THIS IS GREAT!!! Skyfire, one bus away!!!!
Thanks to all for this awsome forum and for the great roms!!!!

[Q] Won't boot past splash screen (error)

Hey guys,
I recently rooted and installed CM7 on my HTC Incredible S. After the mod worked fine, I did not have any phone service. I attempted to flash a new radio, but couldn't figure out how to do it (I think it wouldn't work because my phone is S-ON). Now when I tried to restore my phone from the nandroid back up in Clockworkmod, when the phone restarts, it gets stuck at the splash screen.
On my memory card, the only extra additions are the CM7 mod, the google apps update and a file called PG32IMG.zip. I am able to access the bootloader screen fine.
If anyone could provide any assistance, that would be awesome. I really need to use my phone! Thanks guys. I searched to find any fixes, but couldn't find any.
EDIT: Okay, I solved this problem by manually flashing the recovery image using fastboot. However, I still have no service. Has anyone had this problem before?

[Q] Radio Issues

Alrighty, I have a One S S4, rooted, running ViperOneS 1.2.1.
Not the first time I've run a custom on here, I've been bouncing back and forth between Viper and Cyanogen, usually without issue. Normally, I've been using CWM recovery...
My problem is that I can't get a new radio to install. I've reinstalled Viper a few times, full wipe and all, reinstalled CWM, and finally, just tried using TWRP. CWM says that it updated, but nothing changes, TWRP just gets stuck saying that it is updating, but never does (have to force a shutdown)
So...anybody else run into this problem? I can't find an answer anywhere, and I have no idea what to do next, because I want to keep Viper on here, but right now, my mobile is alright, but I get no WiFi (and the solution that I'm being told is to install a new radio (would that even fix a WiFi issue))
Please help...

It's probably the hboot you have on your phone not letting you flash the radio ? As for Wi-Fi you probably need to just flash the Wi-Fi partitions. You need to find out what hboot you're on as well as if you don't know how to check which radio you're on you should look into that. About phone software baseband and more something like that.

As far as radio, it's 1.08ts.50.02.16_10.08e etc
As far as hboot version....nothing has changed since the time I could reprogram my radio
I'm pretty versed with the phone, I'm asking here, because you will know more than I do...but I know my some of my phone, and I definitely know how to program...but I don't experiment as much as I want to, and I want to know how to fix my phone..
sorry, little drunk at this time, don't want to sound like an ass...
If I think that I'm missing a basic step, I'll ask =)
The hboot, as far add I've know hasn't changed, but I don't know what does. Old versions of recovery, no luck. Had programming issues, get stuck in booloops etc, make it work right...n dint know why the radio won't program out of nowhere =(

[Q] need help please. can't grt phone to activare still

I got my one SV k2_cl from boost a little over a month ago and got the bootloader unlocked and rooted, working fine until one morning it wouldn'tmake calls or texts. I tried to factory reset and when I tried to boot got stuck at the HTC logo. Took me 2 weeks to get it to even flash a Rom on here that will somewhat work. I've got WiFi and partial 3g 4g connectivity but no voice at all. When I try to use the phones its activation tool-error, tried manually programming phone- nothing. I'm stumped. Can someone please help me out here. Don't want to have to buy another phone if I can help it. The only guess I've got at the moment is that if I could get a stock original rom to flash I'd be good to go probably and just hold out on doing anything else to it until after the kitkat ota is launched. The few stock roms I've tried either wouldn't download for some reason or just won't flash right. Thanks in advance for any help guys. I've always been more of a hardware geek more so than software but I can usually muddle through following guides of course.
I'm not much into boost, but did you try to flash the available RUU?
help...
As a matter of fact I have tried that and unfortunetly the installer locked up on a reboot of the phone because the phone wants to do the "Android is upgrading # of #" on every boot. That was why I was thinking since adb/fastboot and the HTC One Toolkit all sorta work that if I could get ahold of a working stock rom to flash on there and I have a stock CWM backup still on my laptop from when I first got the phone rooted and everything working. But of course thanks for the tip anyway. I wish that would work. It seems to be the easiest way to install back to stock.
