Hi Guys
I have this problem with android market. It is totally out of sync with my android phone.
on my PC, the market web portal shows that i have apps installed which are actually not installed. Same thing on the phone, there apps installed on my sensation that do not show as installed on the web portal
other thing is that when i format my sensation by installing an RUU, and when i sign in to my google account on the phone, it does not sync back the apps to my phone, i have to manually install them from the market either through the market on the phone or the market web portal.
Any ideas of how to solve this

Got my Sensation today and found that I couldn't complete a search or even directly enter a web address without first signing on with a Google Account. What's up with that?
I have android 2.2 on another device and the search and web browser don't require a Google Account. Must Google record everything I do from my phone's browser? Is this a T-Mobile issue, a HTC issue or an Andorid issue?
Or do I just need to install another web browser app?

can't download apps from the market without a google account... it is a google phone after all. just sign up for one with a fake name or something its free
Right. I already have 3 Google Accounts. This is my first Android phone, but not my first Android device. Of course I understand I must "sign-in" when using the Market. One account was used for the Market, another for my G-Mail and a third one was tied to Youtube. I never had to use any of them for the web browser. I just wondered what started that. The other device is a WiFi tablet (not a phone) so I wonder if this is a phone thing. Do all Android Phones work this way?

it doesn't ask you to sign in for the browser it asks if you want to save your search results to your gmail acct. it normally does this the first time you search for something on a new device. i don't think its a big deal so they aren't tracking you lol
If so how can i go about putting this rom on this Exclusively China HTC phone.
It's a great phone honestly. But it's made for someone that is a permanent person in China. I'm a temporary student here for 2 years... I like the phone and I came from being a G2 user with the mod. Now if this phone can be with the Cynogen mod. Then it would be perfect. Because I can't get a normal market place on the phone... The HTC market place is no where as good or vast as googles market place. And I'd like my gmail to interact with my phone like it did in america. My gmail has all my contacts and what not saved on it.

I have similar problem, living in china and using htc s610d so could you find how to solve this issue?, I didnt yet. in case, I will post here.
thx
Would be nice if there could be opened a dedicated section for HTC S610D under forums.
I got this phone too and couldn't get in to the android market. So here's what I did:
Downloaded the HTC Sync Software which has the HTC USB drivers etc from www, htc, com
Set your device to run in HTC Sync mode when connected to a PC (in USB settings on phone)
Goto www, coolapk, com which is a market site that has most good apps on it in APK form.
Download the APK you want
Run HTC Sync
Connect your Device and make sure it is in HTC sync mode
After you've set up the device select "Application installer" on HTC Sync software on the PC
Select the APK File you downloaded. select ok
Wait
Huzzah
A quicker way after is to download the barcode scanner application from this website then just use that app to capture the bar codes on the download pages with your phone to download them directly onto the phone
And another thing, if you want your gmail contacts just go to:
settings,
accounts and sync,
add account,
exchange activesync,
enter your gmail email and password,
you can select to sync contacts, mail , calendar etc,,,
I just put an insurance claim on my phone and got a new one, a Nexus S 4G by sprint.
Previously, I had CM7 with Google Apps.. I remember after I installed the custom recovery and CM7 and GApps last time, it gave me an option upon the first boot to install a bunch of google apps as well as the integrated facebook app..
Now, I got the new phone, went through the same process, and I can't find any of these apps.. When I install the Google Apps thing, it just takes me to a market search.. and I can't find the facebook one anymore.
I use that program to sync my contacts and I don't know what to do.
I've search all over the over the forums and all over the internet and I can't find anything. Can someone help me?

facebook was never a google app. nevertheless it should be in the market. search google for a facebook apk.
Just do a regular market search for Facebook. Its in there. I have to download everytime I install a new rom.
Brought this phone off ebay and the camera didnt work, told to do an upgrade from this site with step by step instructions. Done this and now Ive lost most of my apps, market app included as well as gmail etc etc.
Now i cannot sync my emails to gmail and I cannot download any apps to the phone so I cnt even redownload MArket app or GMAIL.
Tried going through the internet on phone to download apps and it just says page cannot be found
Help
i thought u didnt take backup before upgrading the software.. go to market.android.com and login to see ur apps must be present there..
It sounds Like you didn't flash google apps, normally called gapps.zip
Some don't include google applications eg: maps, play store or talk.
Try looking for a link in the tread you downloaded from, here you should be able to find gapps.zip
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
I just set my Mother-in-law up with a new Nexus 5 updated to Lollipop. She had an existing gmail account that we used to sign in at the phone setup. However, when opening the Play Store, I notice that none of the preinstalled apps (Gmail, Calendar, etc) show up in My Apps. However, searching for these apps in the Play Store show they're installed and give the option to Update them. Do I really need to do this one by one for each app for an account that has never used Android? After updating an app, then it shows up in my apps, but it seems like a giant waste of time to have to sync them with my account.
That really doesn't seem right.. I'd try a simple factory reset first and see if it works then.
Actually confirmed this with another account too (never had signed into Android before). Guess maybe the easier thing to do might be do it through the web link to Play store.
