Unlocked Bootloader OTA in August

Well, it looks like HTC is gonna make me eat my words.

**We’re thrilled to announce today that software updates to support bootloader unlocking will begin rolling out in August for the global HTC Sensation, followed by the HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile USA and the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint. We’re in the testing phase for the unlocking capability now, and we expect it to be fully operational by early September for devices that have received the software updates. We'll continue rolling out the unlocking capability over time to other devices as part of maintenance releases and new shipments.**

How about using that search feature? Did we really need another thread about this? Like the other 3 don't get the message across?

Lol this is true.. and op I'm not being an asshole just stating the facts. There are at least 3 other threads on the topic. We really don't need another one. It just clutters up the forum with redundant information.

It's not about being a**holes, its just that simply by just looking at that page u can see the other thread posted hours before yours, so y post another one..like anyone else, I too hate seeing the same post over n over, when a simple search could've done it...

How did I flame him by saying to use the search feature and telling him we really didn't need another thread on this topic because there are at least 3 already that were created before his? Umm that's not flaming.. I wasn't rude or nasty. I just said "how about using that search feature? Did we really need another thread on this topic? Like the other 3 didn't get the message across?" How is that flaming him? I didn't name call or put him down in anyway, just it seems in this forum(sensation) people create more duplicate threads then the other device sections I frequent. It clutters up the forum with redundant information and makes it tougher to shift through all the same crap to find a useful thread.

You know I have noticed more and more rude and sarcastic and flaming remarks as of late. I wonder if short tempers and faultfinding could be attributed to the following:
1. Locked Boatloader ( No definite time frame for resolution)
only vague promises and comments
2. No permanent root(temp root only)
A. No S=off for the majority so no custom roms etc.
3. Htc making vague statements and time frames(even the last blurb gave no real time frame for the US Sensation) and no realistic end in sight.(Hypothetically at least 2 months or more away, at least) Which leads to Feelings of hopelessness..
4. A great phone but many many issues(lots of returns and replacements)
5. Indecision as to whether to keep the phone or not.
Just some thoughts I know I have felt this way and if some of the above were addressed and accomplished I would have a better feeling about keeping the device and a better outlook about the situation in general.
Lets not take the circumstances surrounding the phone out on each other.

The frustration is coming from pushing the valuable info further away into the thread and on the first and second page we have 5 topics about the same thing. Xda should just take the search button away since no one uses it lol.

You must not read the threads much...this subject has been beat to death. All mods have said over and over do not open Alpherev threads.....

Theres a reason for the mods not wanting Apharev threads....because they all turn into flame fests and tend to incite people to childish name calling and making demands like they have some right to any info or an answer from Alpharev.........

Just rooted and I'm looking for a ROM WITH A GREAT GPS FIX, DECENT PERFORMANCE sorry about the caps, I'm on the phone and damn if I'm retyping anything. Is also like good battery life, any suggestions are IMMENSELY (intentional caps that time;D) appreciated! Thanks!

The hit that I swapped for the inspire had mentioned a couple of ROMs and I think he's actually put a couple together, he mentioned that thics Rom he was running didn't allow for the camera to work, is that an isolated incident, has it been cleared up, or what? Also thank you for the suggestion, imma take a look at it righ' naow!

The best ROM I have used for your requirements if Cyanogen Mod 7 . My battery life is around 24 hours of moderate usage. I am overclocked to 1.8 gHZ and it's very smooth.

Look into er3bus XL iv its a great 2.3.5 GinjaBeast and 3.5 sense with beats audio. Also has a couple tweak mods to get the all blue signal thing blue battery and awesome GPS with lord kernal

However being in the q&a forum all I see are a couple of trolls. This isn't my first rodeo, it just happens to be my first HTC.
You guys are the reason people don't want to root, god forbid they be looking for a little support from a community that does nothing but hack android software and their specific phones no less.
Let the mod take this thread out. I've gotten the information I was looking for no thanks to the trolls.

While you're absolutely correct in posting this thread in the correct forum, literally everything you have asked for has been covered in numerous threads before. I'll apologize for everyone for why we get a little up front with threads like these since we see at least 2 every week. I'm glad this isn't new to you, but before you get angry please look at the rules you agreed to when you signed up for XDA. This is a dev. site first and foremost and some leg work is expected on your part. Searching is something you agreed to do before posting a new thread and if you did so you would have found every answer you needed.

Yes any link or info on how to get a paid service or paid software for free will be considered warez and will be removed from XDA. And the member that posted it will receive appropriate disciplinary action from the Mods and Admins.

I thought set CPU was free to download from xda?
Oh and op no offense but you ask far too many questions, just looking at the q&a section one of every 4 questions is from you for the last 2 or 3 pages. There was no need to start two threads, and I simply went to the Apps and Games Subforum of Android Development and Hacking forum. Then typed "SetCPU" into the mini view of the XDA search and within a minute and a half I found a two post thread that had a link to the SetCPU thread.

On top of that, xda has a thanks feature use that too, I just saw your profile you haven't given a single thanks yet you have over 100 posts (many of which likely were spoonfed questions). We are all happy to help people that doesn't mean we want to carry you on your backs for something as simple as flashing rom

This. nothing more, nothing less. Although it is 2.24 compared to the market version of 2.3+. It works well even though the free one is outdated.

O.k. I would like to say that none if your CPU setter or tuner apps worked.I had to completely remove the app and download the Rom again and reinstall it because I couldn't flash the version I backed up because its permanently stuck at 1.566.

Friday "flash a ROM day"

So , its friday and for the past month I will flash CM10 and then next friday go back to stock...and then back again. Now I want to try

Well assuming you mean are all members on xda flash-o-holics then yes you are on xda the Rom capitol of the world with a total membership of just under 5 million I'd have to say that there are millions of members who flash roms on a regular basis. Xda can become an addiction of sorts just ask my wife.
If you meant why are the above members being somewhat rude about your thread then see the answer above you are not unique.
