I recently purchased a HTC Magic and I've been looking at the various themes and keyboard replacements that need betterkeyboards and openhome donate versions. Problem is I cant see those apps on the market. I downloaded a few themes and skins and followed the download link supplied to get the full apps needed but the phone says it can't find the app with the supplied link.
Any idea why I can't see those apps on the market? Is there anywhere I can download the app other than the Android Market? I'm on the Rogers network in Canada if that makes a difference.
Thanks for any help
Hey guys I was reading my Google reader and realized that Google just released the orkut app for Android after all. So I searched in Market on my N1 but it is not in the market. I thought it was bcoz i was running custom ROM and searched it again on my HTC Hero and HTC G1. But unsuccessful, is it bcoz I am in Canada or they never released in here..
Can any one upload the apk file for orkut from their devices if available
I appreciate it and thanks.
I'm also searching for the Orkut apk, if someone has it can he upload it somewhere?
I went into my downloads section of the market, found maps, clicked on the part where you can see more apps from the developer & it appeared for me
Here it is - http://www.filedropper.com/comgoogleandroidappsorkut

I looked today on the Android Market for the Skype app and it is not there anymore. Somebody knows why they took it off?
How do we download Skype now? Is this part of the Skype-Google voice war?
I just searched for it on my evo cm6.1.2 and it's there
I searched as well, but I dont see it....however swype came pre loaded on my dell..
How can it be? I search for it from my Droid 2 global and it is not there anymore. I went to the skype website, ask for the link to be sent to my number and then the link they send takes you to a page that says that the file has been removed. I remember the app was on the market a few weeks ago. Now it is gone.

It seems that Skype is not available on some Android markets depending on what country you are based.
Anyway, the Fring and Nimbuzz took skype out of their services. Why?
And..., after installing skype I keep getting the can't sign in pop up.
I just now searched and it's still there in the market. but Fringout rates are much lower than Skypeout, I'm afraid they won't be able to fight it.
It's in my market still. It might be a carrier issue?

On certain countries it is not on the android market. You have to use Market enabler to get the non us version of skype that can use 3G.

The BBC have released an iPlayer app free on the market, it does exactly as the mobile site for Android does, it streams programs to our phones.
It only works for Android 2.2+ because of the need for flash player.
Try it out!

Can anyone post the .apk file for this app? I am unable to download it and have tried market enabler and that isn't working either. Thanks in advance for any help.
If you can't post the download file, maybe some advice for where it might be found.
unable to download in Singapore.
Go to this page the apk is there :

Isn't this wifi-only; not available via 3G?
Any chance to stream out of UK? Maybe TOR?
After install I get "BBC I Player is only available in the UK " This post should explain this so others like me ( in the USA ) wont waste their time downloading it !!!!!
I have had this for a few days now. sad to say on my galaxy S over wifi I can only play low bandwidth?! ridiculous
Personally I am not a fan of the app, and I will use the website instead. Streaming is choppy on the app, and perfect on the website.
Also, no download options! The Nokia N8 (I think) has had this since last year...
Just a FYI to everyone (as the news post makes it sound like you can stream over mobile network...):
This only works over WiFi (it will not stream over mobile networks)
You cannot pre-download anything.
If you do stream over WiFi the quality isn't very good.
If you want to see bbc iplayer content on your mobile, the best way is still to use their website.
I can confirm its not working on my Sprint Evo. Says on market website item not available for my carrier, and from phone it doesnt even show up. Ashame because i like BBC programming.

It'll only work in the UK.
Any way to spoof location?
I'm using it in Spain via a VPN. I think the quality is pretty good. Perfectly watchable.

What a shame it only works on uk
Any way to fake location to enjoy this app?
If you set up a VPN, it works fine over wifi.

I don't know how a VPN would help, unless you were already in that region, but I wonder about a legit (is there such thing? proxy app for Android... is there one to test?
I live in Spain and use a VPN that gives the phone a British IP address and it works. There are plenty of companies that offer this service.

Is the app still terrible? Didn't bother with it after testing it for 10 minutes. It was awful.
Hey guys,
I'm in the UK and got an invite to Music Beta. I used a proxy to register, to fool the site into thinking I was in the US. I'm uploading my songs right now, and listening from Music Beta. But...
I can't install the Android app on my HTC Sensation. Whenever I go to the Market in Chrome and try to install the app, it always says 'This app is incompatible with your HTC Sensation' and won't let me install it. I know this isn't because I'm from the UK because I have friends using it and they live in the UK too.
It also can't be 2.3, because it runs on the Nexus S, which is 2.3.4.
Could it be the qHD screen that is incompatible?
So, my final question: any got the app (not the leaked one from a few months ago) that they could upload so I could download it and install it on my Sensation?
Many thanks,
Phil
